  • In this paper, we consider the implementation of connected digit recognition system using tree structured lexicon model. To implement efficiently the fixed or variable length digit recognition system, finite state network (FSN) is required. We merge the word network algorithm that implements the FSN with lexical tree search algorithm that is used for general speech recognition system for fast search and large vocabulary systems. To find the efficient modeling of digit recognition system, we investigate some performance changes when the lexical tree search is applied.

Ensemble of Fuzzy Decision Tree for Efficient Indoor Space Recognition

  • In this paper, we expand the process of classification to an ensemble of fuzzy decision tree. For indoor space recognition, many research use Boosted Tree, consists of Adaboost and decision tree. The Boosted Tree extracts an optimal decision tree in stages. On each stage, Boosted Tree extracts the good decision tree by minimizing the weighted error of classification. This decision tree performs a hard decision. In most case, hard decision offer some error when they classify nearby a dividing point. Therefore, We suggest an ensemble of fuzzy decision tree, which offer some flexibility to the Boosted Tree algorithm as well as a high performance. In experimental results, we evaluate that the accuracy of suggested methods improved about 13% than the traditional one.

  • This paper proposes the method of facial expression recognition based on decision tree structure. In the image of facial expression, ASM(Active Shape Model) and LBP(Local Binary Pattern) make the local features of a facial expressions extracted. The discriminant features gotten from local features make the two facial expressions of all combination classified. Through the sum of true related to classification, the combination of facial expression and local region are decided. The integration of branch classifications generates decision tree. The facial expression recognition based on decision tree shows better recognition performance than the method which doesn't use that.

  • The goal of this study is to propose an efficient model for recognizing and classifying tree images to measure the accuracy that can be applied to smart devices during class. From the 2009 revised textbook to the 2015 revised textbook, the learning objective to the fourth-grade science textbook of elementary schools was added to the plant recognition utilizing smart devices. In this study, we compared the recognition rates of trees before and after retraining using a pre-trained inception V3 model, which is the support of the Google Inception V3. In terms of tree recognition, it can distinguish several features, including shapes, bark, leaves, flowers, and fruits that may lead to the recognition rate. Furthermore, if all the leaves of trees may fall during winter, it may challenge to identify the type of tree, as only the bark of the tree will remain some leaves. Therefore, the effective tree classification model is presented through the combination of the images by tree type and the method of combining the model for the accuracy of each tree type. I hope that this model will apply to smart devices used in educational settings.

  • Target learning model is not recognized in this category or not classified clearly failed to determine if the vocabulary recognition is reduced. Form of classification learning model is changed or a new learning model is added to the recognition decision tree structure of the model should be changed to a structural problem. In order to solve these problems, a decision tree learning model for classification learning algorithm is proposed. Phonological phenomenon reflected sound enough to configure the database to ensure learning a decision tree learning model for classifying method was used. In this study, the indoor environment-dependent recognition and vocabulary words for the experimental results independent recognition vocabulary of the indoor environment-dependent recognition performance of 98.3% in the experiment showed, vocabulary independent recognition performance of 98.4% in the experiment shown.

  • Gesture recognition has been widely one of the research areas for natural user interface. This paper presents a novel gesture recognition method using tree classification and multiclass SVM(Support Vector Machine). In the learning step, 3D trajectory of human gesture obtained by a Kinect sensor is classified into the tree nodes according to their distributions. The gestures are resampled and we obtain the histogram of the chain code from the normalized data. Then multiclass SVM is applied to the classified gestures in the node. The input gesture classified using the constructed tree is recognized with multiclass SVM.

  • This paper suggests the method to recognize the various defect patterns of cold mill strip using binary decision tree constructed by genetic algorithm automatically. In case of classifying the complex the complex patterns with high similarity like the defect patterns of cold mill strip, the selection of the optimal feature set and the structure of recognizer is important for high recognition rate. In this paper genetic algorithm is used to select a subset of the suitable features at each node in binary decision tree. The feature subset of maximum fitness is chosen and the patterns are classified into two classes by linear decision function. After this process is repeated at each node until all the patterns are classified respectively into individual classes. In this way , binary decision tree classifier is constructed automatically. After construction binary decision tree, the final recognizer is accomplished by the learning process of neural network using a set of standard p tterns at each node. In this paper, binary decision tree classifier is applied to recognition of the defect patterns of cold mill strip and the experimental results are given to show the usefulness of the proposed scheme.

  • This paper suggests a method to recognize the various defect patterns of a cold mill strip using a binary decision tree automatically constructed by a genetic algorithm(GA).   • For the efficient recognition of Korean Alphabets, a tree structure discrimination algorithm employing NRF-SDF concept is proposed. This algorithm consists of several main-steps, which contain several sub-steps. Each step contains vowels or consonants for training image. This algorithm reduces processing and recognition time than any other conventional algorithms for recognition of Korean Alphabets. A simulation results indicated that this algorithm has a satisfactory performance.

  • Decision tree-based state tying has been proposed in recent years as the most popular approach for clustering the states of context-dependent hidden Markov model-based speech recognition. The aims of state tying is to reduce the number of free parameters and predict state probability distributions of unseen models. But, when doing state tying, the size of a decision tree is very important for word independent recognition. In this paper, we try to construct optimized decision tree based on the average of feature vectors in state pool and the number of seen modes. We observed that the proposed optimal decision tree is effective in predicting the state probability distribution of unseen models.
