  • Advanced Traveler Inoformation Systems*ATIS) , as a subsystem of ITS influence the travel choices of dreivers by providing them with historical, real-time and predictive information to supprot travel decisions and consequently improves the speed and quality of travel. For thesuccessul accomplishment of ATIS, the time-dependent variations of traffic in a road network and travel times of vehicles during their journey must be predicted . The purpose of this study is to evaluate the past developments in the dynamic route choice models and to apply the instantaneous dynamic user optimal route choice model. recently formulated with flow propagation constraints by Ran, Boyce and LeBlanc, to the real transportation network of Seocho-Ku in Seoul. As input data for this application, the time-dependent travel rates are estimated and the link travel time function is derived. The modelis validated from three view points : the efficiency of model itself the ability to predict traffic volume and travel time on links, and the optimal traffic control.

단일보드 마이크로 컴퓨터를 이용한 자료(資料) 수집장치(蒐集裝置) (A Data Acquisition System based upon a Single-board Microcomputer)

  • A data acquisition system was designed to measure the forces on a rolling coulter in three coordinated directions, angular velocity of the coulter and travel speed of a soil bin. The data acquisition system consisted of a dynamometer, speed transducers, a signal conditioner, an inter-face board, an Aim-65 microcomputer and a digital data recorder. Strain gages were attached on the surface of the dynamometer and connected to form three Wheatstone bridges, which measure the draft force, the vertical force and the side force on the coulter. An interaction among three dimensional forces was found during the calibration. A matrix procedure was used to correct the forces for this interaction. Rotary shaft encoders were mounted on the coulter and on the soil bin drive to measure the angular velocity of the coulter and the travel speed of the soil bin. The angular velocity and the travel speed were computed by counting the number of pulse signals from the rotary shaft encoders every 0.2 second. The digital signals from the rotary shaft encoders were connected to counters and the analog signals from the dynamometer, after passing through the signal conditioner, were connected to the A/D converter. The microcomputer programs, written in assembly language, were developed to read signals from the transducers, convert them to actual unit, display them upon request and record them on a sigital tape every 0.2 second.

  • 일반적으로 평균속도란 어느 도로구간을 이동하는 차량의 평균통행시간에 기초한 통행속도를 의미하고, 도로의 서비스수준 평가를 위해 도로용량편람에서 제시하고 있는 평균통행속도가 효과척도로 사용되고 있다. 국내 대부분의 도시고속도로는 제한속도 80Km/h이하의 고속화도로로서 출퇴근시간대에 관계없이 체증문제를 안고 있다. 특히, 도시고속도로의 연결로 접속구간역내에서의 교통정체는 통행량 증가와 주변 간선도로와의 연계성이 부족하여 더욱 악화되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 도시고속도로의 연결로 접속구간역내에서의 교통특성을 파악하고, 파악된 교통특성을 중심으로 연결로 접속구간 내 평균속도를 추정하며, 추정된 평균속도의 타당성을 입증하는데 있다.

  • This paper explored an effective scheduling method for the Seoul-Busan High Speed Rail. It is important to decide train frequency influencing on scheduling method. Main factors to decide train frequency are location of station, social economic index, land use of station area and travel demand. In this paper, we focused on travel demand which is critical factor to decide train frequency. And we studied on standardized scheduling method. Simulation method is used to analyze the performance of explored method.

교통인프라와 통행행태를 기반으로 한 통합적 형평성 분석: 경기도를 중심으로 (Integrated Equity Analysis Based on Travel Behavior and Transportation Infrastructure: In Gyeonggi-Do Case)

  • 본 연구는 지역간 형평성을 분석하기 위하여 교통인프라지표와 통행행태를 통합적으로 고려하였다. 교통인프라지표로는 도로시설, 대중교통시설, 지역특수지수를 이용하였다. 통행행태는 1일자의 버스교통카드데이터를 이용하였다. 공간군집 분석과 전역적 국지적 분석을 통해 얻은 결과 분석단위를 읍 면 동으로 하였을 때 해당지역과 주변지역의 인프라수준이 높은지역(High-High)에서 모두 낮은지역(Low-Low)등 4개의 수준으로 구분되었다. HH type의 지역에서는 버스이용자, 통행, 환승 수가 높고, LL Type의 지역은 내부통행수, 통행시간, 통행거리, 통행속도, 요금항목이 높게 나타났다. 전역적 회귀분석에 의해 교통인프라 수준을 통행행태 변수로 회귀한 결과, 버스이용자수(bus users), 평균환승수(mean_trans), 평균내부통행수(mean_inside), 평균통행속도(mean_speed), 총 4개의 통행특성 변수가 유의하게 추출되었다. 이들 변수를 적용하여 국지적 회귀분석(GWR)을 수행한 결과 전역적 회귀분석에 비해 AIC와 ANOVA 결과 모두 모형의 결과를 유의하게 향상시켜, 경기도 내 통행행태 특성이 교통인프라 수준을 설명하는 데 있어 지역 간 차이가 많이 존재하는 것을 다시 한 번 확인시켜주었다.

도시간선도로에서의 DFS 설치 효과 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of the Effect DFS installation on Urban Arterial Road)

  • Recently, with the existing speed-management by law enforcements and physical speed-reduction facilities, the country newly adopted Driver Feedback Sign (DFS) system, which displays driving speed in order to guide the driver to an advisable driving condition. DFS is mainly used in school zones due to reasons related to the ITS. Accordingly, because it is predictable that DFS will result in speed-reduction without legal forces and would have an effect on physical speed-reduction facilities, intersection, crosswalks, and road-alignments, this study will try to verify the efficiency of DFS by researching the vehicle speed in national highways and school zones, which have similar conditions to the urban arterial road. In consequence, on national highways, the drivers had a tendency to travel according to the road-environment such as urban arterial road and not reduce speed voluntarily. In school zones, drivers tend to reduce speed in mornings and afternoons when children travel to school or home, showing that the resulting effect is different according to the road-environment where DFS is installed, and the time slot of the DFS.

Prediction of Planning Time in Busan Ports-Connected Expressways

  • Expressways mean the primary arterial highways with a high level of efficiency and safety. However, Gyeongbu and Namhae expressways connected with Busan ports are showing travel time delay by increased traffic including the medium/large-sized vehicles of about 20% compared to those of about 13% regardless of the peak periods. This study, thus, intends to analyze lane traffic characteristics in the basic 8-lane segments of the above-mentioned expressways, compute the planning and buffer times based on travel time reliability, find the lane speed showing a higher correlation with planning time between the lane speeds in the basic 8-lane segments, and finally suggest a correlation model for predicting the planning time in expressways.

Autonomous guidance Using Ultrasonic Sensors for a Small Orchard Sprayer

  • Chemical application is very hazardous in confined spaces under the canopy ceiling in Korean vineyard. For a small orchard sprayer adaptable to such a working condition, a low-cost autonomous steering control system was developed using two ultrasonic sensors, two electrically-operated cylinders and 80196kc microprocessor. A distance ranging system timed the round-trip for each ultrasonic wave to travel against parallel targets, placed every 1.5m spacing along both sides of a desired path. A steering control algorithm of the autonomous operation began with ranging left and right targets and the heading was decided using difference between the distances. Electrically-operated cylinders actuated steering clutches to guide the sprayer. Evaluation tests showed that the orchard sprayer could travel within RMS value of 5cm along the desired path. Ground speed did not affect the performance of the autonomous guidance system at the speed ranges of 0.29~0.52m/sec.

저탄소강의 고출력 $CO_2$ 레이저 빔 용접 (High power $CO_2$ laser beam welding for low carbon steels)

  • Laser beam welding parameters have experimentally investigated, using a continuous wave 3kW $CO_2$ laser with the various travel speeds, beam mode and laser beam power in low carbon steels. An optimum position of focus and the effect of shielding gas on penetration depth with varying the flow range of 0.5 to 5.1m/min have been combined to investigate the effect of laser power and travel speed on penetration depth and bead width. It is found that the optimum position of focus in 3kW class laser is 0.5 to 1.5mm below the surface of the material. The flow rate of shielding gas affects the penetration depth and He is more effective than Ar. The penetration depth in laser welds of low carbon steels is between two and four times of the bead width. Laser beam welding of butt joints in 2mm thick carbon steel has been carried out to establish a weldability lobe. The lobe indicating acceptable welding conditions is introduced.

수치지도와 DGPS 수신자료를 이용한 차량의 통행특성 분석 (Analysis of the Travel Characteristics of Vehicles using Digital Map and DGPS Received Data)

  • 첨단의 DGPS 수신자료를 이용하여 도로를 통행하는 차량의 기본적인 운행특성을 분석하기 위한 것이 연구의 주 목적이다. 이를 위해 대구시 도심을 시험차량이 DGPS 수신기를 탑재하여 통행하면서 자료를 수집하였다. 차량의 통행시간은 총 21분 6초가 소요되었으며, 이때 시간경과에 따른 차량의 위치를 2초 단위로 수신하였다. 한편, DGPS 수신자료와 수치지도의 오차보정을 위해 반월당네거리 부근에 기준점을 설정하고, 삼각원점을 이용하여 좌표값을 결정하였다. 이를 기준으로 1/5,000의 수치지도와 DGPS 수신자료에 대한 보정을 행하였으며, 보정결과 오차폭을 0.3m 이내의 범위로 줄일 수 있었다. 4개의 구간별로 차량의 통행속도와 주행속도를 비교하였고, 가 감속도에 대한 분석과 이것들이 차량의 속도와 주행거리에 비례(혹은 반비례)하는 관계를 회귀모델을 통해 규명하였다. 또한 차량이 통행중 정지한 순간을 제외하고 실제 주행한 속도자료는 278개이며, 이에 대한 통계적 분석을 행하였다. 그리고 통행중 정지한 차량에 대한 정지회수와 정지시간, 정지요인을 분석하였다.
