Therefore, the need for industrial complexes environmentally friendly can be cost competitive companies perform cavitation region's increased. To build the distribution center these logistics system through a joint of freight and appropriate policy is required. In particular, efficient operation through the system construction of industrial complexes in the logistics system is very important in terms of friendly low-cost urban logistics, the environment. Since the traffic volume which is Jipufa and utilization of network is transported by a more appropriate technicians and means suitable operating model can efficiency is improved. However, despite these advantages, research network design has not been actively conducted due to the complexity of the problem. Therefore, in this study, by analyzing the logistics system, and presents the operating model through a simulation and basic settings for the model of the logistics complex based on the analysis result, the construction of infrastructure of logistics industry complex it is intended to present the article.

Probability-based Cost Analysis for Recycling Secondary Products from Construction Waste (건설폐기물 재활용 2차 제품에 대한 확률모델 기반 비용분석)

  • Under consideration of construction waste recycling, candidate secondary products applicable for the civil and construction areas can be reliably employed based on the recycling cost analysis. For the validation purpose, probability-based cost analyses were performed to estimate recycling cost profit considering uncertainties. When recycling construction wastes, the costs at each stage are fully dependent on target products to be adopted. To achieve commercialization of each product, its quality has to be improved with economic efficiency through accurate evaluation of input costs. Based on the probabilistic recycling cost analysis, the cost benefit for target products was estimated with waste classification cost, transportation cost to recycling treatment facilities and production cost. All necessary information on the cost analysis were collected from literature, disclosure, and existing recycling companies. In addition, a cost difference between recycled and non-recycled events was made. As a result, a probability-based recycling cost estimate for candidate secondary products was herein presented.

Development of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Inventory and Evaluation of GHG Reduction Plans of Kangwon National University (대학의 온실가스 인벤토리 구축 및 감축잠재량 평가 - 강원대학교를 중심으로)

  • Greenhouse gases (GHGs) emissions from Kangwon National University was estimated to be 21,054 ton $CO_2$-eq in 2009, which was approximately 7% higher than that in 2005. Emissions from electricity usage in Scope 2 contributed to the upward annual trend of GHG emissions, comprising about 54.3% of the total GHG emissions. On the other hand, GHG emissions from Scope 1 and Scope 3 contributed approximately 25.3% and 20.4%, respectively. Various GHG reduction plans were also introduced and evaluated in this study. Among three reduction plans including LED substitution, improvement of transportation efficiency, and green campus action plan, the green campus action plan derived the most significant GHG reduction of 5.3% of total emissions. Estimated total reduced GHG emission was $1,570ton\;CO_2-eq\;yr^{-1}$ with all three reduction plans.

  • Energy supply is increasingly showing up as a major issue for electricity supply, transportation, settlement, and process heat industrial supply including hydrogen production. Nuclear power is part of the solution. For electricity supply, as exemplified in Finland and France, the EPR brings an immediate answer; HTR could bring another solution in some specific cases. For other supply, mostly heat, the HTR brings a solution inaccessible to conventional nuclear power plants for very high or even high temperature. As fossil fuels costs increase and efforts to avoid generation of Greenhouse gases are implemented, a market for nuclear generated process heat will be developed. Following active developments in the 80's, HTR have been put on the back burner up to 5 years ago. Light water reactors are widely dominating the nuclear production field today. However, interest in the HTR technology was renewed in the past few years. Several commercial projects are actively promoted, most of them aiming at electricity production. ANTARES is today AREVA's response to the cogeneration market. It distinguishes itself from other concepts with its indirect cycle design powering a combined cycle power plant. Several reasons support this design choice, one of the most important of which is the design flexibility to adapt readily to combined heat and power applications. From the start, AREVA made the choice of such flexibility with the belief that the HTR market is not so much in competition with LWR in the sole electricity market but in the specific added value market of cogeneration and process heat. In view of the volatility of the costs of fossil fuels, AREVA's choice brings to the large industrial heat applications the fuel cost predictability of nuclear fuel with the efficiency of a high temperature heat source tree of Greenhouse gases emissions. The ANTARES module produces 600 MWth which can be split into the required process heat, the remaining power drives an adapted prorated electric plant. Depending on the process heat temperature and power needs, up to 80% of the nuclear heat is converted into useful power. An important feature of the design is the standardization of the heat source, as independent as possible of the process heat application. This should expedite licensing. The essential conditions for success include: ${\bullet}$ Timely adapted licensing process and regulations, codes and standards for such application and design ${\bullet}$ An industry oriented R&D program to meet the technological challenges making the best use of the international collaboration. Diagnosis of the Liquid Transportation Pipe in the Petroleum Industry using Sealed Gamma-ray Source(137Cs) (밀봉감마선원(137Cs)을 이용한 석유화학산업의 유체이송배관 내 가동 중 이상 진단기술)

  • With the quantitative growth of the petroleum industry, the pipe facilities that connect each process increased significantly and the corresponding maintenance and repair costs of the pipe facilities increased as well. The diagnosis techniques to check a pipe efficiency while in operation are few in Korea, but in the advanced countries the pipe diagnosis using gramma-ray source was on-going research since 1960's. In this study, field experiments were performed to analyze the reasons for abnormal operation of the pipe connected to a distillation tower, and the degree of abnormality was estimated using a sealed gamma-ray source ($^{137}Cs$). Gamma radiation counts were measured by a detector (NaI) positioned outside the pipe-wall diametrically opposite to the gamma source. The results showed that a gas zone section's distribution pattern was different from the pattern of nearby fluid in a pipe. Th diagnosis technique using a gamma radiation source was proved to be an effective and reliable method, offering the information on the fluid distribution in pipe.

The Improvement of Electrical Point Machine Wiring Set (선로전환기(NS)의 배선세트 개선)

  • An Electrical Point Machine (NS:New-type Switch), which is equipped and operated at railways in Korea, has been used since the 1960s after being imported from Japan. On the other hand, although the mechanical configuration has improved the position motor control circuit, the electrical connection has not been improved, so NS may have a problem, such as the interlocking system of automatic train operation. In addition, NS is the most vulnerable part in the railway system and a huge train accident may occur due to minor defects. The existing NS wiring set of the circuit controller should be checked only if fixed. Therefore, an excessive inspection time only by a Railroad Signal expert is required. In this paper, the improvement of electrical connection in a NS wiring set, such as the position motor control circuit, was developed and the prototype was installed at Seoul Metro in the distance to go section. The results can be used to help make appropriate adjustments. The improvement of the NS wiring set enhance the maintenance efficiency, passenger service and the stability of the signal system as well as reducing the maintenance cost.

The Improvement of Point Cloud Data Processing Program For Efficient Earthwork BIM Design (토공 BIM 설계 효율화를 위한 포인트 클라우드 데이터 처리 프로그램 개선에 관한 연구)

  • Earthwork automation has emerged as a promising technology in the construction industry, and the application of earthwork automation technology is starting from the acquisition and processing of point cloud data of the site. Point cloud data has more than a million data due to vast extent of the construction site, and the processing time of the original point cloud data is critical because it takes tens or hundreds of hours to generate a Digital Terrain Model (DTM), and enhancement of the processing time can largely impact on the efficiency of the modeling. Currently, a benchmark program (BP) is actively used for the purpose of both point cloud data processing and BIM design as an integrated program in Korea, however, there are some aspects to be modified and refined. This study modified the BP, and developed an updated program by adopting a compile-based development environment, newly designed UI/UX, and OpenGL while maintaining existing PCD processing functions, and expended compatibility of the PCD file formats. We conducted a comparative test in terms of loading speed with different number of point cloud data, and the results showed that 92 to 99% performance increase was found in the developed program. This program can be used as a foundation for the development of a program that reduces the gap between design and construction by integrating PCD and earthwork BIM functions in the future.

Short-Term Impact Analysis of DTG Installation for Commercial Vehicles (사업용 자동차의 DTG 설치 단기 효과분석)

  • Recently, various alternatives for safety and efficiency of commercial vehicles have been considered, and one of the new alternatives is the application of a digital tachograph. In Korea, the installation of a digital tachograph to commercial vehicles was regulated from 2011 and Korea Transportation Safety Authority developed e-TAS to analyze the monitoring data from digital tachographs installed in the order of 100 commercial vehicles. This study performs the potential impact analysis of the DTG installation, which includes a trend of dangerous driving, a trend of traffic accidents and cost-effective analysis, a trend of fuel consumption and cost-effective analysis, a cost-effective analysis of social benefits using e-TAS data. Depending on the frequency of dangerous driving, the participants are divided into three groups; high-dangerous group, average-dangerous group and low-dangerous group. The high-dangerous driving group shows lower km/liter than the low-dangerous driving group by 15% for buses and taxis and by 30% for trucks. About $CO_2$ emission, the difference becomes bigger; 25%, 25% and 42% for buses, taxis and trucks, respectively. Although this study is a short-term period analysis, the methodology will be applicable for the long-term period analysis with larger data.

A Study on Value Evaluation of Smart Intermodal-Transfer Service (복합환승센터 스마트환승정보서비스에 대한 이용자 가치 추정 연구)

  • Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs prepared the method to update traffic connection system by amending "National Transport System Efficiency Act(hereinafter Act)". The key is a development of Intermodal Transfer Center. The law and guideline related with Intermodal Transfer Center requires the installation and operation of transfer information guide facility to improve user's convenience. However, there are no sufficient studies that can be used as references for the method to construct transfer support information system related with user's preference. The study performed the research about user's service satisfaction in relation with transfer support information service, which was embodied in model operation process, on the basis of transfer support information system of Intermodal Transfer Center applied to Gimpo Airport. The analysis result about service preference, importance of each supplied information, service satisfaction and consideration for service embodiment can be used as a guideline to embody the user information service of Intermodal Transfer Center. In addition, through CVM, the study estimated and proposed the service valuation of smart intermodal transfer service that provides customized information to cope with user's situation and traffic means operation status among transfer support information service. It is determined that the study will measure the benefit of Intermodal Transfer Center user by using monetary value when smart intermodal transfer service is supplied and provide the ground to expand high-tech transfer information service with high usefulness and convenience.

Case of assembly process review and improvement for mega-diameter slurry shield TBM through the launching area (발진부지를 이용한 초대구경 이수식 쉴드TBM 조립공정 검토 및 개선 사례)

  • TBM tunnel is simple with the iterative process of excavating the ground, building a segment ring-build, and backfilling. Drill & Blast, a conventional tunnel construction method, is more complicated than the TBM tunnel and has some restrictions because it repeats the inspection, drilling, charging, blasting, ventilation, muck treatment, and installation of support materials. However, the preparation work for excavation requires time and cost based on a very detailed plan compared to Drill & Blasting, which reinforces the ground and forms a tunnel after the formation of tunnel portal. This is because the TBM equipment for excavating the target ground determines the success or failure of the construction. If the TBM, an expensive order-made equipment, is incorrectly configured at the assembly stage, it becomes difficult to excavate from the initial stage as well as the main excavation stage. When the assembled shield TBM equipment is dismantled again, and a situation of re-assembly occurs, it is difficult throughout the construction period due to economic loss as well as time. Therefore, in this study, the layout and plan of the site and the assembly process for each major part of the TBM equipment were reviewed for the assembly of slurry shield TBM to construct the largest diameter road tunnel in domestic passing through the Han River and minimized interference with other processes and the efficiency of cutter head assembly and transport were analyzed and improved to suit the site conditions.
