Discussion on the Indicator System and Methods of Environment Impact Assessment for Port Master Planning

  • Planning Environment Impact Assessment is regarded as one of the most important measures to achieve sustainable development in China. Conduct environment impact assessment for port planning was prescribed by Environment impact Assessment Law of the People's Republic of China. This Paper introduces the basic concept of Planning Environment Impact Assessment and Port Planning firstly, and then discusses the assessment indicators and assessment methods adopted in the Environment Impact Assessment for port planning. At last, the application of the indicators and methods are illustrated in case studies based on the practice on Port Planning's Environment Assessment in China.

  • This study reviews planning support systems (PSS) in the context of the development processes of urban models(focusing on Land-Use Transport Models, LUTM) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), both of which are key components of PSS supporting spatial plannings like urban and regional planning. It also explores changing planning environments like increased demands of citizen participation, especially in the environmental sector like global warming, and intensified development of Information technologies based on Internet and mobile networks. As a conclusion this study proposes a prototype of portal service to support low-carbon city planning to mitigate the greenhouse gas as an alternative to supplement or reinforce PSS, reflecting the changing planning environments.

  • Sketch-Planning based ITS Deployment Analysis System is an analysis tool for determining the impacts, benefits, and costs of various intelligent transportation system (ITS) deployments. This methodology offers one tool that systematically assesses ITS scenarios to facilitate the integration of such scenarios into the ongoing transportation planning process. Sketch-planting based methodology can estimate relative impacts, benefits, and costs for more than 60 types of ITS investments deployed in isolation or in any combination defined by the user.

  • The goal of this research is to identify the energy planning techniques of Smart Green City and to establish the realized plan through the analysis of Multi-functional Administrative City. For the research, eighteen planning techniques were derived and categorized into three sectors and six basic direction through literature review and Brain-storming analysis considering correlation between three goals of Smart Green City and expectation of planning technique. And Multi-functional Administrative City was analyzed for the current status of application of planning techniques focus on two application aspects. In conclusion, 'Establishing Integrated Management Center for Urban Energy', 'Building Energy Management System', 'Building Automation System', 'Green Transport System', 'Intelligent Transport System', 'Introduction of Eco-friendly Transportation' planning techniques in reduction of building energy consumption sector and green-intelligent transport system sector were identified as important techniques for Smart Green City.

  • This paper review current situation of New Transit System (NTS) which mainly developed by the western countries. The paper classified NTS by it capacity, physical appearance, and so on. It reviewed the brief history of LRT, which became new guided transport system in terms of transport environment especially for transport handicapped. It also includes the merit of Linear Metro, which could be popular for the urban transport system. Finally, the paper prospects the future of NTS for the planning of urban transport system.

  • An autonomous mobile vehicle for transport system must plan optimal path in work envimnrent without human supervision and obstacle collision. This is to reach a destination without getting lost. In this paper, a genetic algorithm for globaI and local path planning and collision avoidance is proposed. The genetic algorithm searches for a path in the entire and continuous free space and unifies global path planning and local path planning. The sinmulation shows the proposed method is an efficient and effective method when compared with the traditional collision avoidance algorithms.rithms.

  • On facing the information society, the multi-faceted information utilization and the establishment of synthetic information management system in the overall industry and business administration have raised considerable attention. Thus, this study aims at the improvement of freight transport management through the establishment of pooling of the road freight transport information system as its effective information supporting system. Especially, it describes the freight transport information network, structure, function, and subject of the freight transport information center, as a basic planning design for the freight transport information system. Furthermore, it deals with the identification of the systems design requirements, working process, and S/W & H/W design specifications. Finally, we expect that this study will be contributed for the improvement of the road freight transport business to meet both the increase of freight transport demands due to the continuing economic growth and the social needs for the establishment of transport-order.

  • The main external force of the harbor in east coast is wave. So, wave is the important cause of wave induced current and sediment transport due to wave in planning harbor structures. Therefore, it must be considered not only to secure the harbor tranquility but also the sediment transport due to wave induced current in planning the harbor. In this study, we studied on the influences of construction procedure on harbor tranquility and siltation using annual coastal line data and bathymetry data near breakwater. And it suggests that the construction procedure for the harbor tranquility and the best way for the decrease of harbor siltation.

  • To survive in the current shipbuilding industry it is of vital importance for shipyards to achieve an optimal utilization of resources, make an achievable planning and ensure that this planning is kept. Possible problems should be eliminated before production starts and if unexpected disturbances occur in the actual production the right measures should be taken. Due to the dynamic nature of the production process, the continuous variation in products and the complexity of both, all this can hardly be achieved with conventional static planning and analysis systems. Simulation provides a solution here, since this enables the modelling and evaluation of the dynamic relations between product and production process. After a global introduction to production simulation in general and the application of simulation at the Flensburger shipyard, this paper presents a tool that has been developed to simulate the various complex assembly processes taking place at shipyards. Subsequently the simulation model for the subassembly production at Flensburger, in which this tool is applied, will be discussed.
