Direct current (DC) applied to cotyledons during a 16 h inductive dark period inhibited the flowering in the short-day plant, Pharbitis nil Choisy cv. Violet. The inhibitory effect of DC was more profound when the current flowed from roots to cotyledons, showing its polarity-dependent action. The second half on the inductive dark period was more sensitive to DC stimulus. The flowering was significantly depressed only when DC stimuli were applied to the translocation path of the floral stimulus from the induced cotyledon to the apex, suggesting that the transport of floral stimulus was damaged by the DC treatment. The vegetative apex culture bioassay system showed that a significant level of the floral stimulus activity existed in the phloem exudate from the cotyledons which would fail to form their own floral buds. These results strongly support the hypothesis that DC partially impede, at least temporarily, the transmission path of the floral stimulus from florally-induced cotyledon to the apex, rather than depressing in situ synthesis of the floral stimulus.

Because Cost Based Pool(CBP) has any locational signals for electricity price, there are any locational incentives for construction of new power plant high efficient. in case of Korean electricity power market, this incentives are very important to reduce loss and congestion. This Paper represent the effect of MLF(Marginal Loss Factor) as locational price signal in short period. we investigate mathematically loss reduced effect of MLF and prove to reduce transmission loss using 3bus test system.

This paper examines the BER performance of the recently proposed half-symbol-rate-carrier (HSRC) offset quadrature phase-shift-keying (OQPSK) receiver for high-speed data communication. A modified demodulation technique using a bit-time period signal integration, the bit-error-rate (BER) performance of the HSRC-OQPSK signal improves more than 4dB compared to that of a demodulation technique using a symbol-time period integration. This paper also examines the BER performance of modified demodulation with various band-limited channels modeled using low-pass filters, and the three different data-rate systems are simulated and compared with the performance of the system using the conventional demodulation technique.

The Purpose of this study is to explore the conceptions of childhood and the practices about childrearing in the period of the Three States. The method used for this study is the historical method and the literatures of analysis are The Chronicles of the Three States and The Heritage of the Three States. According to the results the conceptions of childhood in its boundary were that the point at which childhood in its boundary were that the point at which childhood ended was the age of 15. And the conceptions of childhood in its demension were that the age of 10 was important demension epitemologically and the age of 15 was important in political dimension. Also there were several practices of childrearing in the Three States. First the sweddling clothes were in use. Second a child was carried on adult's back. Third parents paryed for giving birth to their child and had a dream of conception. finally there were th child welfare works. Through this study we can have access to the understanding about cultural transmission process of childrearing in Korea.

This is a case history on design and cnostruction of tunnel for under passing an underground transformer substation. The original construction plan was cut & cover method to avoid blasting vibrations and displacements of facilities during the construction stages. But this plan was changed to tunnel because of the difficulties from construction period, cost and the required relocation site. As a results of tunnel construction, the relocation of transformer substation and replacements of transmission cables were not necessary. Therefore about 10 months of construction period and 3.5 billion wonts of construction cost were saved. Additionally, quantitative criterion for blasting was provided through the results of blasting vibration analysis.

A typical clutch system for automotive manual transmissions transfers hydraulic pressure generated by driver's pedal manipulation to the clutch diaphragm spring. The foot effort history during the period of push is different than the period of the clutch pedal's return. The effort or load difference is called clutch foot effort hysteresis. It is known that the hysteresis is caused by friction. The frictional force and moment are produced between various component contact points such as between the rubber seal and the inner wall inside the hydraulic cylinder and between the diaphragm spring and the pressure plate, etc. Understanding the clutch pedal foot effort hysteresis is essential for a clutch release system design and analysis. The dynamic model for a clutch release system is developed for the foot effort hysteresis prediction and a simulation analysis is performed to propose a tool for analysing a clutch system.

This paper presents a semi-blind Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) beamforming adaptive algorithm used far OFDM/CDMA combined system. The proposed algorithm exploits the transmitting pilot signal in the initial period of the transmission to update the weight vector. Then it applies the blind adaptive period to update the weight vector, in which the pilot signal is no longer used. The derivation of the algorithm based on the Mean Square Error (MSE) criterion is also presented. Computer simulation is carried out to verify the performance of the proposed approach.

본 논문에서는 무선 통신 망을 이용하는 무선 측위 시스템의 hearability 문제를 해결하기 위하여 제시된 IPDL 기법을 CDMA 망에 미치는 영향을 최소화하도록 변형하여 사용하고 변형으로 인해 발생하는 문제점을 간섭 신호 제거 기법으로 해결하는 IC-IPDL 측위 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 IC-IPDL 기법에서는 CDMA 망의 안정화를 위해 CPICH를 제외한 모든 하향 링크 신호 전송을 중단하도록 IPDL을 변형하구 동시에 단말기에서 간섭 신호 제거 기법을 사용하여 나머지 CPICH를 제거함으로써 hearability를 개선한다. 제안한 기법의 성능 평가를 위하여 신호의 지연 시간 정보(TOA/TDOA)를 이용하는 무선 측위 시스템으로 모의 실험을 수행하였고 그 결과 제안된 기법이 idle period 구간에서 CPICH의 전송을 유지함에도 기존의 IPDL 기법과 유사한 측위 성능을 보임을 확인하였다.

This paper presents an overview of automotive communication technologies, including related technology developments. We describe the latency of Audio Video Bridge (AVB) network as well as purpose the optimized design of the Ethernet network system for automotive. Our design plays a significant role in reducing the delay between components. The proposed approach on realistic test cases showed that there was a delay reduction, approximately 49.4%. It is expected that the optimization method for the actual automotive environment can greatly shorten the time period in the design and development process. The results obtained from the experiments on the delay time present in each function are reliable because average values are obtained through repeated actual tests for several months. It will greatly benefit the industry since analyzing the latency between each function in a short period of time is very important.

We propose a simple hydrogen detection scheme based on a Mach-Zehnder interferometer formed with a pair of palladium-coated long-period fiber gratings (LPGs). Since an LPG pair offered a fine-structured interference fringe in its transmission spectrum, the resolution as a sensor could be appreciably enhanced compared to that of a single LPG. As the palladium layer absorbed hydrogen, the effective refractive indices of the cladding modes were increased so that the interference spectrum was blue-shifted up to 2.3 nm with a wavelength sensitivity of -0.29 nm/min for 4% of hydrogen concentration.
