Research on Discontinuous Pulse Width Modulation Algorithm for Single-phase Voltage Source Rectifier

  • Single phase voltage source converter (VSC) is an important power electronic converter (PEC), including single-phase voltage source inverter (VSI), single-phase voltage source rectifier (VSR), single-phase active power filter (APF) and single-phase grid-connection inverter (GCI). As the fundamental part of large scale PECs, single-phase VSC has a wide range of applications. In the paper, as first, on the basis of the concept of the discontinuous pulse-width modulation (DPWM) for three-phase VSC, a new DPWM of single-phase VSR is presented by means of zero-sequence component injection. Then, the transformation from stationary frame (abc) to rotating frame (dq) is designed after reconstructing the other orthogonal current by means of one order all-pass filter. Finally, the presented DPWM based single-phase VSR is established analyzed and simulated by means of MATLAB/SIMULINK. In addition, the DPWMs presented by D. Grahame Holmes and Thomas Lipo are discussed and simulated in brief. Obviously, the presented DPWM can also be used for single-phase VSI, GCI and APF. The simulation results show the validation of the above modulation algorithm, and the DPWM based single-phase VSR has reduced power loss and increased efficiency.

  • Unequal Error Protection(UP) is reasonable scheme in transmission of compressed video with low bit rate. Because it offers the error correction ability each other data according to the Source Significance Information. Hence it can also be flexible to the given channel environment on the video transmission. This paper propose the joint source channel coding through the UEP in consideration of the hierarchical structure of H.263+ based video and the influence of the transmission error. It especially proposes the error-resilient video transmission technique which can reduce complexity of channel coder & decoder by partitioning the video data with a frame. As the result of the proposed algorithm, it is possible to increase the quality of reconstructed video in the error environment without creating additional bits.

  • It is necessary to determine the vibration source and its transmission paths in order to develop a low-noise compressor. Through the use of multiple-input/single-output(MISO) mode1, the transmission paths of vibration within a reciprocating compressor have been investigated. In order to identify the transmission path, we measure the accelerations of the block and transverse vibrations of the line discharge tube. As outputs, vibrations of compressor shell were measured at three positions; cylinder head, one near the suction line, and the top of upper shell. The partial coherence function and transfer function are obtained ken the measured data, and the results are observed in order to determine vibration source and its influence on the shell vibration.

  • This paper studies real-time error in the context of monitoring a symmetric binary information source over a delay system. To obtain the average real-time error, the delay system is modeled and analyzed as a discrete time Markov chain with a finite state space. Numerical analysis is performed on various system parameters such as state transition probabilities of information source, transmission times, and transmission frequencies. Given state transition probabilities and transmission times, we investigate the relationship between the transmission frequency and the average real-time error. The results can be used to investigate the relationship between real-time errors and age of information.

MPEG-4 비디오 전송을 위한 결합 소스/채널 부호화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Joint Source/Channel Coding for MPEG-4 Video Transmission)

  • 고정 및 이동수신환경에서 결합 소스/채널 부호화 기법을 MPEG-4(Moving picture Experts Group) 비디오 전송에 적용하여 대역폭 사용 효율을 높이는 방안에 대하여 논하였다. 채널환경은 랜덤잡음환경과 이동수신환경을 고려하였다. 소스부호화기는 MPEG-4 비디오, 채널부호화기는 RCPC(Rate Compatible Punctured Convolution) 그리고 변조방식은 QPSK(Quadrature Phase Shift Keying)를 적용하였다. 이 논문에서는 여러가지 채널상태(Es/No)에 따른 율-왜곡특성에 대해 분석하여 소스비트율과 채널부호율 간에 최적의 상충점(Trade-off point)을 결정하였고, 결합 소스/채널 부호화 기법과 일반적인 고정부호율 전송기법을 비교하여 결합 소스/채널부호화의 효율성을 보였다.

전달손실 비교를 통한 지음향학적 인자 역산과 정합장처리 (Geoacoustic Inversion via Transmission Loss Matching and Matched Field Processing)

  • 본 논문에서는 2004년 동해에서 수행된 MAPLE 실험의 음향계측 자료를 이용한 지음향학적 인자 역산기법을 제시하고 제안된 기법의 검증을 위해 음원의 위치추적 테스트를 수행하였다. 역산을 위한 목적함수는 예인 음원과 고정된 수직선배열로부터 획득된 음향신호를 이용하여 구한 전달손실과 모의된 전달손실과의 상관관계를 평가하도록 정의하였다. 목적함수의 최적화는 광역 최적화 알고리즘인 VFSA (Very Fast Simulated Annealing)를 사용하여 수행하였다. 본 역산기법을 5개의 주파수 토널 성분 데이터에 적용한 후 이를 바탕으로 실험해역의 지음향 모델을 구성하였다. 끝으로 정합장처리를 통해 예인 음원의 위치를 추적하여 역산된 지음향학적 인자들의 타당성을 검토하였다.

부분기여도함수를 이용한 전술차량 소음원 분석 (Noise-source Analysis of Tactical Vehicle Using Partial Coherence Function)

  • In this paper noise source and transfer path of tactical vehicle are analyzed with partial coherence function and spectrum analysis. Engine, transmission, structure panel and aerodynamic are main source of cabin noise. To reduce cabin noise, identifying transfer path of sources and analyzing their contribution is important. With modeling of transfer path and partial coherence function, transfer path and principal noise source can be identified. Engine/transmission and structural resonance are principal source of low frequency noise and by adding stiffener and sound absorbing material, resonance of vibration and inflow air problem can be solved.

음원을 둘러싼 인클로저 개구부를 통해 전파되는 소음의 능동 제어 (Active Control of Propagated Noise through Opening of Enclosures Surrounding a Noise Source)

  • Enclosures are widely used to alleviate the contribution of machinery noise. It has been long concerned with the noise transmission through the access openings of the enclosures. In this study, we investigate active noise control technology for reduction of the transmission. A numerical model based on the acoustic boundary element method is first established. Using the numerical model, the acoustic transfer functions of the field points over the opening to the primary source at arbitrary locations are estimated. The feedforward control to minimize the acoustic power through the opening is then numerically implemented. The controller drives the secondary source to destructively interfere the noise transmission through the opening. Finally, a parametric study is conducted to evaluate the effects of the location and the number of the microphones on the control performance. Furthermore, the effects of the location of the secondary source on the performance of active noise control are investigated. It is followed that the control system implemented in this study leads to a significant reduction of about 31.5 dB in the sound power through the opening using only one secondary source located at the optimized position.

이동방송수신환경에서 MPEG-4 계층적 비디오 전송을 위한 결합 소스/채널 부호화에 관한 연구 (Studies on Joint Source/Channel Coding for MPEG-4 Scalable Video Transmission in Mobile Broadcast Receiving Environments)

  • 이 논문은 국내 디지털 오디오 방송(Digital Audio Broadcasting, DAB)의 표준으로 채택된 Eureka 147 DAB 시스템에 결합 소스/채널 부호화 기법(Joint Source/Channel Coding, JSC)을 적용한 데이터 전송시스템의 기본틀을 제안한다. 제안전송시스템의 소스부호화기는 기존의 SNR-계층적 부호화(SNR-Scalability) 기법의 발전된 형태인 MPEG-4 FGS(Fine Granular Scalability) 비디오부호화기, 채널부호화기로는 상이오류보호(Unequal Error Protection, UEP)에 효율적인 RCPC 부호화기 그리고 변조방식은 QPSK를 적용하였다. 채널환경은 랜덤잡음환경과 이동수신환경을 고려하였다. 이 논문에서는 여러 가지 채널 상태(Es/No)에 따른 율-왜곡특성에 대해 분석하여 소스비트율과 채널부호율 간에 최적의 상충점(Trade-off point)을 결정하였고, DAB의 계층적 비디오 전송을 위한 FGS-JSC 기법이 적용되었을 때와 단일계층의 고정부호율 전송의 경우를 비교하여 FGS-JSC 기법의 우수함을 보였다.

유체유동을 포함한 소음기의 음향 특성 해석 (Analysis of Acoustic Characteristics of Muffler including Flow effects)

  • In general, 4-pole parameter and three-point method are used for predicting transmission loss which is one of characteristics of Muffler using CAE tools. However, these mehtods show different results from experiment when the flow effects are presented in practical model. In this parer, to overcome these problems, both Fluent and.Sysnoise are used to analyze the performance of extended inlet/outlet muffler including flow effects with varying flow velocity at inlet of duct. Flow fields and quadrupole source is calculated by Fluent. And Sysnoise is used to analyze acoustic performances of muffler with quadrupole source data extracted from Fluent. Finally, the variation of transmission loss is estimated according to various inlet flow velocity.
