인공지능, 딥러닝, 머신러닝 등이 괄목할만한 발전을 이루면서 2016년경부터 100여개의 언어를 비롯하여 가장 보편적으로 사용되어 온 Google Translate (구글기계번역기)는 자연언어처리(NLP) 분야와 외국어 학습 등 언어활용 분야에 독보적인 역할을 하고 있다. 본 논문은 구글기계번역기, Google Translate에 있어서, 영어모국어화자가 가진 통사문법적-범주적 지식의 중요성과 그 영향력에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. Jackendoff (1999)는 맹인을 위한 독서기계(Reading Machine)등을 구축하려면 통사구조적 지식과 문법적 분해력(parsing)이 매우 중요하고, 적어도 현재의 컴퓨터는 엄청난 발전을 이루기는 하였으나, 인간의 두뇌를 따라갈 수 없다는 결론을 내렸다. Jackendoff가 논의했던 몇 가지 어휘항목과 통사구조적 중의성을 활용하여, Google Translate 기계발음번역기를 통해 그의 주장을 확인하는 실험을 실시하고, 그 결과를 분석하는 것이 이 논문의 목표이다. 이 연구는 Jackendoff의 주장처럼 L1 화자가 내재화한 통사문법적, 범주-구조적 지식은 NLP, 혹은 "독서기계"등의 구축에서 중요하며, 이는 Chomsky (1986, 2005)등에서 논의된 내재적언어 (I-language)의 핵심이라는 점을 시사한다.

Research that reconstructs a 3D model from a freehand 2D sketch has gained attention since 1990s, when data integration in the CAD/CAPP/CAM/CNC chain was an important issue. However, 2D sketches in the conceptual design phase have not been integrated with the downstream CAD/CAPP/CAM/CNC chain. In this paper, we present a method to interface a freehand sketch modeling to commercial CAD systems by mapping a sketch modeling history to the macro parametric history. We use an extended ISO10303-112 standard to represent the modeling history in a gestural modeling system and translate sketch files to neutral macro files. Macro parametric translators are used to translate netural macro files to commercial CAD files.

To translate the goal of redeveloping Shanghai as one of the international hubs of economy, finance and trade in 2010, the foundation is to be created, and international standing as global city is to be established preliminarily. Transformation of urban functions and approach of "High starting position and jump over" will give impetus to promote Shanghai as an international metropolitan within fairy short period of time. To transform urban functions and translate" High starting position and jump over", certain links which have great impact on Shanghai's rising-up must be handled and normal approach to develop the city must be renovated to reach the goal of establishing an international city. Four strategic approaches as following are explored in this paper : $\bullet$ To transform urban function from industry only to integrated developments. $\bullet$ To break through administrative boundary and expand urban development space. $\bullet$ To develop centralized urban infrastructure framework. $\bullet$ And to erect modern life and culture facilities towards 21st century.

본 연구에서는 현재 제작되고 있는 자동차 항법용 수치지도의 GIS 툴로의 변환과 공유가 가능함을 확인하고, GIS에서 사용되는 수치지도 데이타베이스 구조의 연구를 통해 사용자의 관점에서 수치지도의 적용 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 먼저 기구축된 수치지도의 데이타 구조를 분석하여 GIS 툴-ARC/INFO-로의 효과적인 변환을 하기 위해 데이타 모델을 설계하였고, 기존 수치지도 데이타의 변환을 위한 프로그램을 작성함으로써 기구축된 수치지도와 GIS 툴의 데이타베이스와 연결할 수 있는 변환 툴을 제시하였다.

본 논문에서는 기존 인터넷 체계의 문제점을 보완하고 근본적인 대안을 제시하기 위해 CCN개념을 이용한 보안 강화 기법을 제안하고 이를 통해 네트워크의 안전한 전송 시스템을 제안한다. 또한 기존의 복잡한 구조와 사이버 공격 및 해킹에 쉽게 노출되는 TCP/IP 체계의 현재 인터넷 구조에서 네트워크 시스템구조를 단순화하고 획기적 성능 향상과 더불어 사이버 공격에 대응할 수 있는 기술을 제안하고 이를 프로토타입으로 설계하여 증명하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 파일롯 시스템의 실험을 통하여 제안하는 CCN개념을 이용한 네트워크 보안 변환 시스템 기법의 우수함을 보인다.

The purpose of this study is to critically investigate the ways in which scholars and architects in Korea have theorised the tradition in Korean architecture from the early 20th century to the present. After opening the door to foreign powers, the most important issue to be resolved in Korea architecture has been the modernization of the traditional architecture. The successful modernization of Korean traditional architecture depends on successful theorization of the tradition. However, many attempts to theorise the uniqueness of tradition in Korean architecture had not been instrumental to the modernization of Korean traditional architecture. The reason why they were not successful lies in the lack of philosophical and methodological reflection upon how to approach the tradition. They were either trapped in ambiguous essentialism without systematic methods and theories, or simply inventing the tradition from the vantage point of the present. This paper argues that in order to theorise the tradition, one need to translate the tradition into contemporary architectural vocabularies. What is important in translating the tradition is not to directly apply contemporary concepts and perceptual frame of architecture to traditional architecture but to find the gaps and differences between the two. This will open hermeneutic spaces to translate the tradition into useful principles and vocabularies of comtemporary architecture.

Recently, the volume of data is increasing rapidly in server for multimedia service, according to development of multimedia application environment. In recent research for storage technology the technology like of the SAN(Storage Area Network) advantages in scalibility of storage devices, and can read data from multiple disk arrays through RAID 0, 5. The RAID 0 and 5 translate to logical address to physical address using equation, but in case of adding disks at the system with equation -based mapping, the problem that we must rearrange the whole data in the previous disks happens. We use the mapping table to solve this problem in recent, but we can not load the whole mapping table in main memory because it occupies too large space. Therefore the extra I/Os are demanded to evaluate real physical address of data, so total performance of the system is degraded. In this paper, we propose the mapping method that supports the scalibility in RAID 0 or 5 system. The proposing method applies small metadata, so- called SZIT and simple equation, so it is possible that we make translate logical address to physical address rapidly and it is scalable in disk extending simultaneously Our suggesting method, if we add disks to the striping system for expanding of storage capacity, has an advantage of never stop service. So, SZlT-based mapping method can do online-disk-expanding in real-time service.

A network-based robot [1] is a robot that explores service servers in the network environment for analyzing sensor data and making decision. Since network-based robot architecture was proposed, it's possible to reduce costs of robots. We hope robots would be all around at home environment. Therefore, normal users who are not experts need to be able to control those robots by using easy commands. We developed a scripting language, named CCSLR, to help users and developers who control various robots in ubiquitous environment. We focused on how to design the common language for various robots and how to translate a CCSLR script into a sequence of low-level commands of the target robot. In this paper, we propose scripting methods, with three layers. The CCSLR system reads the profile information from the knowledge representation database. Users don't have to know all about kinematical and mechanical details of a robot. Then again, the CCSLR system will use the profile information to translate the script into separated executable library commands. The CCSLR system manages robot's changing state every time a robot executes a command.

With the trend of globalization more people are absorbing in the English learning programs. Not a few attend even the English-Korean translation training course to be semi-professional translators, but we English teachers have already experienced that it is not so easy to translate any language into another, and that it is far more difficult to translate poetry. Much time has been devoted to investigating the problems of translating poetry than any other mode. Poetry translation theory is concerned with the problem of faithfulness to the original poetry. To be a good translator we must fully understand the sound and sense of the original work. But when in translating English poetry into Korean we feel keenly our limits of understanding the sound and style of English poetry, and of expressing them into Korean. Even our sense-oriented translation is far from satisfactory. We often make quite a few mistranslation. Another immediate problem is that of alternation between word-for-word translation and free translation method, but first of all, we should have a perfect knowledge and understanding in English, and a good command of our mother tongue. We should also have a sound interpretation ability because poetry translation is based on the interpretation of the original, and on the shaping of that interpretation. Some doubts have been raised over the feasibility of poetry translation. They say it is not possible to combine in another language the emotion, the form, the style, the musical devices of English poetry. Yet the art of translation has been practiced everywhere in the world. Through this art we can share our experience and culture with foreigners and theirs with us.
