  • Small Rapid Transit System(SRTS) will be defined fully automated urban transit system providing a rapid and personalized door to door transport service. Conventional forms of public transit require passengers to collect in groups until a large vehicle is scheduled to travel on predetermined routes. In contrast, SRTS offers personal transport with no waiting, and takes passengers non-stop to their chosen destination. This is a transport system which is as convenient as, or in congested environments more convenient than, the car, but with minimal environmental impact.   • ATC(Automatic Train Control) system employed in Bundang urban transit is operated in accordance with automatic blocking equipment. Using AF(Audio Frequency) track circuits installed at a block section, the block signal is automatically controlled and the safety of train operation is supported. In this paper, we investigate the operation mode of bundang urban transit and analyze the operation algorithm of ATC on-board system.

  • To investigate the adequacy of maglev train system to future urban transport environments, first we derived minimum necessity requirements of the new-transit system by analyzing the issues in the urban transit management and new needs of transportation customers. Then the conformity of Maglev train to the requirements was examined. With respect to this adequacy analysis, policy directions and agenda of the making practical use of urban transit Maglev system' is proposed.

  • To construct ligh rail transit, many local autonomous entities investigate the feasibility of project. Especially, many studies attempt to find the probability of private inducement and the method. The purpose of this paper is to develop the light rail transit financial analysis system for private sector, based on the procedure and the method of the financial analysis. This system consistes of the income and cost module. As a result, provide the cash flow, income statement and financial profit statement for the result. We hope that it is contributed to analyze the feasibility of the finance conveniently.

  • 현재 지하철 운영기관은 만성적인 운영적자를 타개하기 위하여 다각적인 서비스 개선 노력을 하고 있으며, 이를 지원하기 위하여 지하철 통행과 관련된 심층적이고 효과적인 데이터 분석이 필요한 시점이다. 이에 본 연구는 지하철 인구이동 패턴 발견을 위한 분석환경으로 다차원분석시스템(OLAP)을 제안하였다. 지하철 교통카드의 로그 데이터가 이 시스템의 원시데이터로 사용되었고, 다차원 모델링을 통해 데이터마트를 설계.구현하였으며, 다차원분석도구를 이용하여 탐색된 지하철 인구이동 패턴과 맵을 예시하였다.

Research on the Correlation Between Rail Transit Entrances and Urban Form in High-Density Areas

  • The transport system and its infrastructure are not only the fundamental means of sustaining the operation of contemporary cities, but also important drivers for the evolution of urban form. Rail transit, critical to improving the operational efficiency and optimizing the spatial layout in cities, is one of the critical conditions for high-density areas with limited land and concentrated resources to be compact to take on complex challenges. As a node element of infrastructure, rail transit entrances are the most important points connecting the rail transit system with urban space. Although influenced by urban form, their quantity and location also influence and shape the evolution of urban space form. Based on the development gap of high-density areas in various contexts, focusing on various rail transit stations in Asia, this research analyzes the correlation between rail transit entrances and peripheral high-density urban form in a delicate, dynamic and granular way. The research considers both horizontal and vertical perspectives, in combination with the urban evolution process in time series, to explore the development trend of high-density urban form in Asia from the aspect of correlation, and building a new foundation for research on urban form, suitable for different types of cities.

  • Korea Rail Network Authority ordered Urban Transit Magrev System on the alternative tender lines. The project was contained order with GS Construction and Yooshin Corporation as a result of competition as 5 consortium. Urban Transit Magrev System route was constructed in the whole Yeongjong-dong and Yongyu-dong, Jung-gu, Inchen. The main project is via transportation center in Inchen Int'l airport ~ Work complex ~ Water park ~ Yongyu-station and has Total continuation of 6.1kilometers, Station of 6 spot, Car base of a spot, go out line(a single line) of 380meters. Scale of construction is Major of Roadbed, Railroad, Building, Inspection and Repair facilities. The first Urban Transit Magrev System in Korea is a new symbol of Korea and has polished beauty and creative artistry based on functional perfection. It was designed in harmony with Inchen Int'l Airport improving the dignity of SOC design.

5-body dynamics in the Kepler-47 exoplanetary system: Predicting stable orbits of a third circumbinary planet

  • Kepler-47 is the first multi-body circumbinary planetary system detected by the Kepler space telescope. The two planets were detected by the transit method. In the discovery paper the authors report about the presence of an additional transit-like signal in their dataset which cannot be explained by a four-body (binary + 2 planets) system. Therefore it is likely that the unexplained signal could be due to a third planet. In this talk I will present recent results from a dynamical investigation of the five-body system (binary + 3 planets). We have applied the MEGNO technique to detect regions of quasi- or near quasi-periodic orbits of a hypothetical third planet. Quasi-periodic regions exists for a third planet and the long-term stability has been tested. Although the existence of a third planet is most likely to be confirmed from transit photometry we calculate transit-timing variation (TTV) signals due to the third planet which also can be used to infer its presence.
