입력전류와 커패시터 전압의 맥동저감을 위한 개선된 LCCT Z-소스 DC-AC 인버터 (Improved LCCT Z-Source DC-AC Inverter for Ripple Reduction of Input Current and Capacitor Voltage)

  • In this study, an improved LCCT(Inductor-Capacitor-Capacitor-Trans) Z-source inverter(Improved LCCT ZSI) with characteristics of Quasi Z-source inverter(QZSI) and LCCT Z-source inverter(LCCT ZSI) is proposed. The proposed inverter can also reduce the voltage stress and input current/capacitor voltage ripples compared with conventional LCCT ZSI and Quasi ZSI. A two winding trans in Z-impedance network of the conventional LCCT ZSI is replaced by a three winding trans in the proposed inverter. To verify the validity of the proposed inverter, a DSP controlled hardware was made and PSIM simulation was executed for each method. Comparing the current and voltage ripples of each method under the condition of input DC voltage 70[V] and output AC voltage 76[Vrms], the input current and capacitor voltage ripple factors of the proposed inverter were low as 11[%] and 1.4[%] respectively. And, for generation of the same output AC voltage of each method, voltage stress of the proposed inverter was low as 175[V] under the condition of duty ratio D=0.15. As mentioned above, we could know that the proposed inverter have the characteristics of low voltage stress, low ripple factor and low operation duty ratio compared with the conventional methods. Finally, the efficiency according to load change/duty ratio and the transient state characteristics were discussed.

  • 분산진원으로서 연료전지 발전장치는 100w부터 수백[kw]의 용량을 가지며 종전의 대규모 전력설비와 비교하여 높은 신뢰도를 갖는 고품질의 전력을 공급할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 소형 분산전원으로서 PEMFC(polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell)연료전지 발전장치에 대한 PSIM(power electronics simulation tool) 모델을 설정하고 이를 바탕으로 DSP(digital signal processor)기반의 연료전지 하드웨어 시뮬레이터를 구현하였다. 연료전지 전류와 출력전압과의 관계는 연료전지의 전압-전류(V-I) 곡선 중 ohmic영역에서 1차 함수로 간략화 하였다. 구현된 시스템은 PEMFC 하드웨어 시뮬레이터, 절연형 풀 브리지 직류 부스트 컨버터 그리고 60[Hz] PWM인버터로 구성되어있다. 부하변동 및 과도상태에 대한 연료전지 하드웨어 시뮬레이터의 전압-전류-전력(V-I-P) 특성을 파악하였으며, 저항 부하 및 비선형 부하에 대한 전력변환기의 60[Hz] 정현파 교류출력 전압파형을 고찰하였다.

  • 본 논문은 가변주파수 스위칭 방식의 flyback 컨버터를 이용한 자동차용 35[W]급 고휘도 방전 램프용 전자식 안정기의 고효율 제어시스템을 구현하였다. 또한 안정기 성능, 크기 그리고 효율을 고려하여 planar 변압기를 이용하여 flyback 컨버터를 설계하였다. HID 램프를 자동차에 적용하기 위해 복잡한 과도특성을 제어할 수 있는 매우 복잡한 제어회로와 고효율의 안정기의 제작이 요구되어진다. 제안된 전자식 안정기는 planar 변압기를 사용한 flyback 컨버터, full bridge 인버터와 승압 점화장치로 구성되어 있으며, flyback 컨버터의 스위칭 주파수는 안정기에 입력전압의 변화에 따라 제어되도록 설계하였고, planar변압기를 사용하여, 안정기의 가격과 크기를 크게 절감할 수 있었다. 제안된 시스템에 대한 성능 및 효율은 여러 가지 실험을 통해 확인하였다.

광 케이블 풀림 거동의 실험적 검증 및 고속 풀림 거동 예측 (Experimental Verification of Unwinding Behavior of Fiber-Optic Cable and Prediction of High-Speed Unwinding)

  • 유도체의 발사로 인해 스풀로부터 풀리는 광 케이블은 모함과의 통신을 통해 작전 수행 능력을 향상시키는 역할을 한다. 일반적으로 광 케이블의 풀림은 거동의 안정성 확보 및 풀림 불량 방지를 위하여 수중에서 진행된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 실험을 통해 스풀로부터 풀리는 광 케이블의 거동특성을 확보하고 이를 풀림 거동 해석 결과와 비교함으로써 해석의 신뢰성을 검증한다. 실험 장치의 구성은 수조와 감김 장치로 구성되며, 고속카메라를 통해 케이블의 풀림 거동을 촬영하였다. 해석결과를 제시하기 위한 과도 상태 운동 방정식은 직교 좌표계를 사용하여 정의한 뒤, 실험 결과와의 비교를 통해 해석 결과의 타당성을 검증하였으며, 풀림 속도의 증가에 따른 풀림 거동을 예측하였다.

Application of Superconducting Flywheel Energy Storage System to Inertia-Free Stand-Alone Microgrid

  • Recently, electric power systems have been operating with tight margins and have reached their operational limits. Many researchers consider a microgrid as one of the best solutions to relieve that problem. The microgrid is generally powered by renewable energies that are connected through power converters. In contrast to the rotational machines in the conventional power plants, the converters do not have physical rotors, and therefore they do not have rotational inertia. Consequently, a stand-alone microgrid has no inertia when it is powered by the only converter-based-generators (CBGs). As a result, the relationship between power and frequency is not valid, and the grid frequency cannot represent the power balance between the generator and load. In this paper, a superconducting flywheel energy storage system (SFESS) is applied to an inertia-free stand-alone (IFSA) microgrid. The SFESS accelerates or decelerates its rotational speed by storing or releasing power, respectively, based on its rotational inertia. Then, power in the IFSA microgrid can be balanced by measuring the rotor speed in the SFESS. This method does not have an error accumulation problem, which must be considered for the state of charge (SOC) estimation in the battery energy storage system (BESS). The performance of the proposed method is verified by an electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulation.

CS-PDM Series Resonant High Frequency Inverter for Copy Machine

  • This paper presents the two lossless auxiliary inductors-assisted voltage source type half bridge (single ended push pull: SEPP) series resonant high frequency inverter for induction heated fixing roller in copy and printing machines. The simple high-frequency inverter treated here can completely achieve stable zero current soft switching (ZCS) commutation for wide its output power regulation ranges and load variations under its constant high frequency pulse density modulation (PDM) scheme. Its transient and steady state operating principle is originally described and discussed for a constant high-frequency PDM control strategy under a stable ZCS operation commutation, together with its output effective power regulation characteristics-based on the high frequency PDM strategy. The experimental operating performances of this voltage source SEPP ZCS-PDM series resonant high frequency inverter using IGBTs are illustrated as compared with computer simulation results and experimental ones. Its power losses analysis and actual efficiency are evaluated and discussed on the basis of simulation and experimental results. The feasible effectiveness of this high frequency inverter appliance implemented here is proved from the practical point of view.

Tetramethyltin과 Iodine 사이의 Iododestannylation에 대한 압력의 영향 (The Effect of Pressure on the Iododestannylation between Tetramethyltin and Iodine)

  • 요오드와 테트라메틸주석간의 전하이동에 따른 상호작용을 사염화탄소 용매내에서 분광학적 방법으로 연구하였다. 이들의 결과로부터 일시적인 전하이동 착물의 흡수 스펙트 럼(${\lambda}_{max}=270nm$)이 관찰되었으며, 흡수스펙트럼의 후속적인 감소현상으로 요오드에 의한 테트라메틸주석의 분해반응임을 알았다(iodoedestannylation). 따라서 Iodoedestannylation에 대한 속도 상수를 온도 10, 25 및 $35^{\circ}C$ 압력을 1200 bar까지 변화 시켜가면서 측정하였으며, 이때의 반응속도상수는 온도와 압력에 따라 증가함을 알았다. 이 반응속도 상수로부터 ${\Delta}V^{\neq},\;{\Delta}{\beta}^{\neq},\;{\Delta}H^{\neq}$${\Delta}S^{\neq}$의 값을 구했으며 이들 값으로부터 전이상태의 용매구조 변 화 및 메카니즘을 규명하였다. 이러한 사실로부터 본 반응은 $S_F2$ 메카니즘이 지배적 이며 압력이 증가함에 따라 $S_F2$의 성격이 약화됨을 알았다.

화재에 노출된 교량하부 강합성 구조물에 대한 열-구조 연성 병렬화재해석 (Thermal-Structure Interaction Parallel Fire Analysis for Steel-Concrete Composite Structures under Bridge Exposed to Fire Loading)

  • 본 논문은 교량 하부에서 발생된 화재에 대한 강-콘크리트 합성구조의 전반적 국부적 손상평가를 위한 수치해석적 연구이다. 수치해석의 정확성 및 효율성을 높이기 위해 구성재료의 과도 비선형 열적 열역학적 특성이 고려된 열-구조 연성병렬 화재해석 기법이 제안되고, ANSYS solver와 연결되어 해석이 수행되며, 표준화재시험과 비교 검증된다. 검증된 해석기법을 통해 국내에서 발생된 부천고가교 합성구조에 대한 화재손상해석이 수행된다. 해석결과 강박스 거더의 하부 플랜지 및 복부의 경우 임계온도를 초과하였고 구조적 처짐과 변형 형상이 화재사고 결과와 비교적 잘 일치하였다.

Nonlinear rheology of linear polymer melts: Modeling chain stretch by interchain tube pressure and Rouse time

  • In flows with deformation rates larger than the inverse Rouse time of the polymer chain, chains are stretched and their confining tubes become increasingly anisotropic. The pressures exerted by a polymer chain on the walls of an anisotropic confinement are anisotropic and limit chain stretch. In the Molecular Stress Function (MSF) model, chain stretch is balanced by an interchain pressure term, which is inverse proportional to the $3^{rd}$ power of the tube diameter and is characterized by a tube diameter relaxation time. We show that the tube diameter relaxation time is equal to 3 times the Rouse time in the limit of small chain stretch. At larger deformations, we argue that chain stretch is balanced by two restoring tensions with weights of 1/3 in the longitudinal direction of the tube (due to a linear spring force) and 2/3 in the lateral direction (due to the nonlinear interchain pressure), both of which are characterized by the Rouse time. This approach is shown to be in quantitative agreement with transient and steady-state elongational viscosity data of two monodisperse polystyrene melts without using any nonlinear parameter, i.e. solely based on the linear-viscoelastic characterization of the melts. The same approach is extended to model experimental data of four styrene-butadiene random copolymer melts in shear flow. Thus for monodisperse linear polymer melts, for the first time a constitutive equation is presented which allows quantitative modeling of nonlinear extension and shear rheology on the basis of linear-viscoelastic data alone.

새만금호 내 방수제 공사 및 준설에 의한 수리동역학적 특성 변화 수치 모델링 (Numerical Simulation on Hydrodynamic Characterization Changes Associated with the Construction of Dikes and Dredging Operations in Saemangeum Lake)

  • The study area is located on the western coast, and the inner development construction has been ongoing since 2011. The purposes of current study are to effectively simulate and quantitatively predict a temporal and spatial distributions of water temperature and salinity due to the stages of inner development construction in saemangeum reclaimed area. The transient-state numerical modeling using EFDC model is done, and the numerical simulation results are validated reasonably by repetitive numerical model calibration procedures with respect to field measurements of water temperature and salinity. The spatial distributions of water temperature and salinity show similar trends before and after construction of the dikes. In spring season, the salinity has maximum value of 21 psu, while, in summer season, the salinity shows 7 psu in a whole modeling domain. Thus, it is clearly observed that salt water is replaced by freshwater. However, the salinity and temperature reach their initial conditions at the end of the year. The salinity after construction of the dikes is lower than that before construction of them at Mankyeong area. On the other hands, after construction of the dikes, the salinity after dredging operations is higher than that before dredging. Because drastical increasing of water volume in Saemangeum Lake leads to increasing of stagnation time at bottom layer, and salt water is easily intruded to the two estuaries. Therefore, it may be concluded that hydrodynamic characteristics on Saemangeum are dominated by either Mankyeong and Dongjin discharge or sluice gates in/out-flow amounts, and thus they must be properly considered when rigorous and reasonable predictions of water temperature and salinity according to the stages of inner development construction.
