  • Various types suspension insulators made of toughness glass or porcelain are used in the power transmission. And, Insulators are continually subject to mechanical and electrical stresses which depend on the characteristics of the line. The main factor that influence the increase in reliability of insulators. In operation is the capacity of the design to withstand the certain load over a long time, the mechanical strength of the insulators. This paper describes the results of a study on the stress analysis of suspension insulator based on the finite element analysis using NASTRAN. And, the mechanical strength was evaluated through such as kinds of pin type.

  • 본 논문은 2세대 고온 초전도 선재를 이용한 대전류용 고온초전도 변압기의 설계 및 제작에 관한 연구결과이다. 대전류용 변압기는 154 kV, 단상 33 MVA를 기준으로 기 설계된 초전도 변압기의 요소기술 평가를 위한 것으로 초전도 변압기의 제작의 중요 요소기술 중 하나인 저압권선용 초전도 선재의 대전류 통전 특성평가와 초전도 권선의 교류손실 저감효과에 관한 검증을 위해 설계 및 제작 되었다. 이러한 대전류용 변압기의 설계와 초전도 권선의 제작, 시험을 통해 실제 100 MVA 초전도 변압기 설계의 신뢰성과 대전류 통전용 초전도 선재의 성능평가를 확인하였다.

  • This paper shows a reasonable demand power, that was made by the systematic and statistical way considering actual conditions, such as investigated contract power and peak power for the last 7 years of each tunnel customer as to AMR. In this dissertation, it is necessary to analyze the key features and general trend from the investigated data. It made an analysis of the feature parameters, such as average, standard deviation, median, maximum, minimun and thus it was carried by the linear and nonlinear regression analysis.

인버터 시스템과 상용 전력 계통과의 병렬 운전에 관한 연구 (A Study on Parallel Operation Between Inverter System and Utility Line)

  • This paper proposes a utility parallel processing inverter system, which consists of a voltage source PWM inverter, isolation transformer and a reactor linking the inverter to utility line. This system realizes following functions : (1) voltage phase frequency and amplitude synchronization between inverter and utility line at stand-alone mode. (2) current phase synchronization between inverter and load at parallel mode. Therefore, despite sudden increase in load current over setting point at stand-alone mode, inverter system can be transferred into parallel mode immediately without transient current. Furthermore, high frequency(18KHz) PWM control and sinusoidal filtering improve the inverter output waveform by eliminating high order harmonic components as well as low order. As a switching device, IGBT is used for high frequency switching and large current capacity.

제주계통에서 동기조상기 기동에 따른 전압안정도 영향 검토 (Analysis of Impact on Voltage Stability by Starting Synchronous Condenser in Jeju AC Network)

  • Two old synchronous condensers in Jeju are being replaced by new machines to operate Jeju AC network with Haenam-Jeju HVDC system stably. Before new synchronous condensers operate on site, voltage stability analysis is conducted to verify stable operation of jeju AC network. Through impedance analysis of the synchronous machine, transformer and ac network, the equivalent circuit is constructed and the voltage drop during start-up is calculated. Then, PSS/E fault analysis is performed to acquire short-circuit capacity according to the generator operation scenarios. Voltage variation when starting synchronous condenser is simulated in PSCAD/EMTDC and satisfies the operating condition of jeju AC network and HVDC #1 system.

전력기기용 Al/Cu 복합 부스바의 통전용량 설계 및 특성 평가 (Transport Capacity Design and Characteristics Evaluation of Al/Cu Composite Busbar for Power Equipments)

  • This paper deals with the electric and thermal characteristics of the composite busbar composed of aluminum and copper. When AC current is flowing in Cu busbar used widely in conservative equipments like power cable, transformer, and switchgear & controlgear most current is concentrated on the surface of the busbar by the skin effect. Therefore, if the Cu region in the busbar having low current density is replaced with aluminum, we can largely reduce the product cost and weight of the busbar. To conform the performance of the composite busbar, we designed and fabricated a test Al/Cu composite busbar. Maximun temperature rise of the busbar was $35^{\circ}C$ when 1600 Arms of AC current was applied to the test composite busbar($120mm{\times}10mm$). Based on test results, we can expect to make the low-priced and light power equipments using the Al/Cu composite busbar.

  • KEPCO is planning to operate 765kV Sin-Tao-Back and Sin-Ga-Pyong substations from 2004. A preventive diagnostic system to obtain the reliability of transformer and GIS is being adopted in 765kV substations. KEPRI has developed a preventive diagnostic system for 765kV substation since 1997. The preventive diagnostic system developed in that project was installed to the 345kV Eui-Ryung substation in June, 2000, and it is under circumstance durability test and operation capacity tests. In this paper, we analyze data of the preventive diagnostic system in 345kV Eui-Ryung substation.

  • Tilting train has been developed to increase the operational speed of the trains on conventional lines which have many curves. This train are tilted at curves to compensate for unbalanced carbody centrifugal acceleration to a greater extent than compensation produced by the track cant, so that passengers do not feel centrifugal acceleration and thus trains can run at higher speed at curves. This paper show that results of normal capacity calculations of the electrical equipments such as Main transformer, PWM converter, VVVF inverter, traction motor in TTX(tilting train express) with maximum operation speed 180km/h

  • Superconducting transmission cable is one of interesting part in power application using high temperature superconducting wire as transformer. One important parameter in HTS cable design is transport current distribution because it is related with current transmission capacity and loss. In this paper, we calculate inductance and current distribution for 4-layer cable using the electric circuit model and compare calculation results of transport current losses by monoblock model and Norris equation

  • This paper presents a scheme on the characteristics of voltage and current unbalance factor under the load variation at the three phase 4-wire system. The voltage unbalance factor of the three-phase 4-wire system is approved by the field measurement. This system is composed of three one-phase transformer with each other capacity. Current unbalance factor is measured by the power quality measurement apparatus and compared by the load unbalance factor. Each phase has an impedance each other by the unbalanced load operation pattern and give rise to voltage unbalance.
