  • This paper proposes directory service protocol in distributed environment. By adding an condition retrieval function to Modify operation, the ExtModify operation improves the inconvenience to transfer a search operation and resume a Modify operation. The method suggests how to correct all the entries which require retrieval condition out of other entries designated by LDAPND.

  • For the efficient operation of container terminals, it is essential to develop optimal operation rules for marshaling yard and yard cranes. However, derision rules for conventional container terminals expose various limitations to be applied to automated container terminals. This paper introduces a development of a simulation model for evaluating various operation rules for automated transfer cranes (ATCs) and yard operation in the marshaling yard.

  • COMS (Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite) is a geostationary satellite and has been developing by KARI for communication, ocean and meteorological observations. It will be launched by ARIANE 5. Ka-band components are installed on South panel, where single solar array wing is mounted. Radiators, embedded heat pipes, external heat pipe, insulation blankets and heaters are utilized for the thermal control of the satellite. The Ka-band payload section is divided several areas based on unit operating temperature in order to optimize radiator area and maximize heat rejection capability. Other equipment for sensors and bus are installed on North panel. The ocean and meteorological sensors are installed on optical benches on the top floor to decouple thermally from the satellite. During the transfer orbit operation, satellite will be under severe thermal environments due to low dissipation of components, satellite attitudes and LAE(Liquid Apogee Engine) firing. This paper presents temperature and heater power prediction and validation of thermal control design during transfer orbit operation.

  • In a computer-controlling wave generating system. it is sometimes necessary to incorporate the discrete transfer operation of wave board into control circuit in order to control the system in a more delicate way. A numerical filter simulating the transfer operation of wave board in time domain is designed in the form of a discrete recursive filter. The filter was applied to some example board inputs f3r either regular or irregular wave conditions in order to evaluate the filter performance. The filter outputs were compared with the results of theoretical analysis or the discrete convolution method. showing their excellent agreements. The discrete realization of the filter presented hen is in fact of the bilinear transformation. It was shown that the transformation always avoids the aliasing errors, being surely applicable with a sufficient accuracy even for the band-unlimited transfer function of wave board.

  • A coreless printed circuit board(PCB) transformer is employed in a contactless energy transfer circuit that achieves an efficient power conversion at the presence of a considerable airgap between the source and the load side. A half-bridge series resonant converter is selected as the contactless energy transfer circuit in order to minimize the detrimental effects of large leakage inductance small magnetizing inductance and poor coupling coefficient of the coreless PCB transformer. The operation and performance of the proposed contactless power converter are verified on a 7 W experimental circuit that provides an 18V/0.4A output from a 210-370 V input source.

  • A session transfer method, referred to as a Recipient Serving-call session control function (S-CSCF) Assured (RSA), is proposed in order to support both session mobility and consistency in IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) based next generation network (NGN). RSA session transfer simplifies a basic session transfer operation specified in [1] by using the user agent client (UAC) like characteristics of an S-CSCF. To show its efficiency, the session transfer delay and the traffic cost of RSA session transfer are investigated and compared with those of existing session transfer applications, including Assured and Consultative session transfers, by practically considering multiple session transfer failures. It is shown that RSA session transfer can further improve user experience by reducing session transfer delay as well as traffic cost than Assured and Consultative session transfers.

  • Temporalis tendon transfer is a technique for dynamic facial reanimation. Since its inception, nearly 80 years ago, it has undergone a wealth of innovation to produce the modern operation. Temporalis tendon transfer is a relatively minimally invasive technique for the dynamic reanimation of the paralyzed face. This technique can produce significant and appropriate movement of the lateral oral commissure, more closely mimicking the normal side. The aim of this article is to review the technique of temporalis tendon transfer involving transferring of the coronoid process of the mandible with the insertion of the temporalis tendon via intra-oral and transcutaneous approach.

  • The main subject to become a hub port is automation. The automated container terminal has already operated in advanced ports and it has been planned for the basic planning and operation design in domestic case. The key of automated container terminal is effective operation of both ATC(automated transfer crane) and AGV(automated guided vehicle) which is automated handling equipments. This is essential to poductivity of automated container terminal. This study suggests the most optimal method of equipment operation in order to minimize loading time using each three types of effective ATC operation methods and AGV dispatching rules in automated container terminals. As the automated equipment operation causes unexpected deadlocks or interferences, it should be proceeded on event-based real time. Therefore we propose the most effective ATC operation methods and AGV dispatching rules in this paper. The various states occurred in real automated container terminals are simulated to evaluate these methods. This experiment will show the most robust automated equipment operation method on various parameters(the degree of yard re-marshaling, the number of containers and the number of AGVs)
