Transition metal dichalcogenides (MoS2, WS2, WSe2, MoSe2, NbS2, NbSe2, etc.) are layered materials that can exhibit semiconducting, metallic and even superconducting behavior. In the bulk form, the semiconducting phases (MoS2, WS2, WSe2, MoSe2) have an indirect band gap. Recently, these layered systems have attracted a great deal of attention mainly due to their complementary electronic properties when compared to other two-dimensional materials, such as graphene (a semimetal) and boron nitride (an insulator). However, these bulk properties could be significantly modified when the system becomes mono-layered; the indirect band gap becomes direct. Such changes in the band structure when reducing the thickness of a WS2 film have important implications for the development of novel applications, such as valleytronics. In this work, we report for the controlled synthesis of large-area (~cm2) single-, bi-, and few-layer WS2 using a two-step process. WOx thin films were deposited onto a Si/SiO2 substrate, and these films were then sulfurized under vacuum in a second step occurring at high temperatures ($750^{\circ}C$). Furthermore, we have developed an efficient route to transfer these WS2 films onto different substrates, using concentrated HF. WS2 films of different thicknesses have been analyzed by optical microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy.

In this study, we demonstrated that the soft lithographic patterning processing of chemical vapor deposition (CVD) graphene and rGO sheets as large scale, low cost, high quality and simplicity for future industrial applications. Recently, a previous study has reported that single layer graphene grown via CVD was patterned and transferred to a target surface by controlling the surface energy of the polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) stamp [1]. Using this approach, the surface of a relief-patterned elastomeric stamp was functionalized with hydrophilic dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) molecules to enhance the surface energy of the stamp and to remove the graphene-based layer from the initial substrate and transfer it to a target surface [2]. Further, we developed a soft lithographic patterning process via surface energy modification for advanced graphene-based flexible devices such as transistors or simple and efficient chemical sensor consisting of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and a metallic nanoparticle composite. A flexible graphene-based device on a biocompatible silk fibroin substrate, which is attachable to an arbitrary target surface, was also successfully fabricated.

Mobile IP provides hand-held devices with mobility which allows the user to do work over the network. However, handover time due transfer between access routers causes network delays and data loss. L2Trigger Handover expects this handover to take place, and executes L3 handover before L2 handover takes place, thereby reducing overall handover latency, although it still is an issue since handover latency between AR is not completely eliminated in L2 trigger handover. In this paper took into consideration where MIH is used in MIPv4 and using MIH Table when handover is about to occur in MN(Mobile Node), thereby pre-fetching data needed by Handover. In this way, when the handover is estimated, it improves the init time that L2trigger had. Furthermore we can find that we can execute the handover with shorten init time in smaller and narrow overlap length

The selection of the temperature sensor in a cryogenic system depends on the temperature range, shape, and accuracy. An accurate temperature sensor is essential for improving the reliability of an experiment. We have developed a calibration system for cryogenic temperature sensors using a two-stage cryocooler. To reduce the heat load, a thermal shield is installed at the first stage with multiple layer insulation (MLI). We have also developed a sensor holder for calibrating more than 20 sensors simultaneously in order to save time and reduce costs. This system can calibrate sensors at variable temperatures via temperature control using a heater. In this paper, we present the design and fabrication of the temperature sensor calibration system and a representative experimental result.

This paper proposes an App Visualization (AppV) based on IoT Self-diagnosis Micro Control Unit (ISMCU) for accident prevention. It collects a current status of a vehicle through a sensor, visualizes it on a smart phone and prevents vehicles from accident. The AppV consists of 5 components. First, a Sensor Layer (SL) judges noxious gas from a current vehicle and a driver's driving habit by collecting data from various sensors such as an Accelerator Position Sensor, an O2 sensor, an Oil Pressure Sensor, etc. and computing the concentration of the CO collected by a semiconductor gas sensor. Second, a Wireless Sensor Communication Layer (WSCL) supports Zigbee, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth protocol so that it may transfer the sensor data collected in the SL to ISMCU and the data in the ISMCU to a Mobile. Third, an ISMCU integrates the transferred sensor information and transfers the integrated result to a Mobile. Fourth, a Mobile App Block Programming Tool (MABPT) is an independent App generation tool that changes to visual data just the vehicle information which drivers want from a smart phone. Fifth, an Embedded Module (EM) records the data collected through a Smart Phone real time in a Cloud Server. Therefore, because the AppV checks a vehicle' fault and bad driving habits that are not known from sensors and performs self-diagnosis through a mobile, it can reduce time and cost spending on accidents caused by a vehicle's fault and noxious gas emitted to the outside.

To investigate the influence of the char layer formed during the combustion process on the pyrolysis of wood combustibles, ISO 5660-1 cone calorimetry experiments and Fire dynamics simulator (FDS) simulations were performed, and the results from these two methods were compared. The wood combustible selected as the fuel for this study, Douglas fir, has been widely used for the production of building materials, furniture, etc. The heat release rate (HRR) measured from the cone calorimetry experiment was in good agreement with the result predicted by the FDS simulation. However, the FDS simulation failed to predict the heat released by the smoldering combustion process, due to the absence of the char surface reaction in the model. The FDS simulation results clearly indicate that the char layer formed on the surface of combustibles produces a thermal barrier which prevents heat transfer to the interior, thickening the thermal depth and thus reducing the pyrolysis rate of combustibles.

Since $Br^{\circ}anemark$ introduced the osseointegrated implants, they have been granted for useful methods for the restoration of oral function. The original $Br^{\circ}anemark$ protocol recommended long stress-free healing periods to achieve the osseointegration of dental implants. However, many clinical and experimental studies have shown that the osseointegration is no wonder in almost cases and that early and immediate loading may lead to predictable osseointegration. So we are willing to introduce the Satellite Abutment newly invented for immediate loading. We think that it will make the occlusal forces dispersed to surrounding bone and that we can restore the oral function immediately after implant installation not disturbing osseointegration. In case of using Satellite abutment, stress concentrated to bone contact area of implant was distributed not only fixation plate and screws but also superior, middle portion of implant and cortical layer of jaw bone. It was clearly decreased on the bone contact surfaces around dental implants. 1. Stress was decreased more than 76.5% when satellite straight abutment was used. 2. Stress was decreased more than 50% when satellite angled abutment was used. 3. The stress around dental implant was well distributed along the cortical bone surface and the fixation plate and screw. This study concludes that satellite abutment can be used as all immediate loading implant prothesis because it was possible to distribute periimplant occlusal stress through implant contact bone surface and cortical layer of jaw bone.
The negative skin friction on piles, which are installed in currently consolidating soft deposits, creates significant problems on the stability of pile foundations. This study investigated whether or not the pile foundation designs were appropriate in soft deposits with large amount of consolidation settlement. The final settlements of the grounds along the pile depth were estimated by the soil parameters obtained from the laboratory tests and by the field-measured settlement curves, if they were available. The displacement of the piles along the pile depth was estimated by both the load transfer method and the numerical method. Both methods gave similar locations of neutral planes and magnitudes of the maximum axial forces on the piles. The movements of the ground and the piles were compared to calculate the down drag acting on piles. For the piles whose bearing capacities were less than the design loads including the down drag, slip layer coatings and/or incrementing of the pile penetration depth into the bearing stratum were proposed to improve the pile capacities.

Recently data centers are being constructed actively by many cloud service providers, enterprises, research institutes, etc. Generally, they are built on tree topology using ECMP data forwarding scheme for load balancing. In this paper, we examine data center network topologies like tree topology and fat-tree topology, and load balancing technologies like MLAG and ECMP. Then, we propose a scheduling algorithm to efficiently transmit particular files stored on the hosts in the data center to the destination node outside the data center, where fat-tree topology and OpenFlow protocol between infrastructure layer and control layer are used. We run performance analysis by numerical method, and compare the analysis results with those of ECMP. Through the performance comparison, we show the outperformance of the proposed algorithm in terms of throughput and file transfer completion time.
