  • This study examines the model of perceived risk, trust, and continuous transaction intentions presented in a study of the buying behavior in International Transaction. Although most of the trade transactions have been studied as a legal supplement, trade transactions are also purchasing behavior aimed at maintaining continuous transaction intentions between the parties. The study results confirmed that perceived risk could be separated into risk neutrality, risk - taking and risk aversion, and perceived risk had an effect on trust. In addition, the trust affected by perceived risk in the trade transaction model has a statistically significant effect on continuous transaction intentions. The study results confirm that the theoretical background used in previous studies of purchase behavior models is also effective in trade transaction.

  • This research studies the behavior patterns of a character in FIFA Online3, and the transaction patterns between the characters to present a character that acts like a real person and has social interaction with other characters. A character interacts with others mediated by balls in FIFA Online3, we analysis character's behavior and interactions more cleary. Providing the realistic behavior patterns of a character and the relation in the transaction patterns between the characters based on psychology theory, we can give a player the sense of reality. To define the behavior pattern of a character, this study applied the Ego-state as defined by Transactional Analysis(TA). Based on the Transactions in TA, this study then defined the transaction patterns between the characters, which are produced by the actions that a character in the game. This study also presented how to apply a character's transaction patterns with the examples. It showed that a character can act in the game like a real person by defining how a character acts and interacts in the game.

  • In order to investigate information seeking behavior of web search users, this study analyzes transaction logs posed by users of NAVER, a major Korean Internet search service. We present a session definition method for Web transaction log analysis, a way of cleaning original logs and a query classification method. We also propose a query term definition method that is necessary for Korean Web transaction log analysis. It is expected that this study could contribute to the development and implementation of more effective Web search systems and services.

  • In this study in order to verify the overall information seeking behavior of the Web-based OPAC users, it was analyzed transaction log file for 7 years. Regarding Web-based OPAC information seeking behavior, it was studied from the perspective of information seeking strategy and information seeking failure. In search strategy, it was analyzed search type, search options, Boolean operator, length of search text, number of uses of word, number of use Web-based OPAC, number of use by time, by week day. Also, in search failure, search failure ratio, search failure ratio by search options, search failure ratio by Boolean operator were analyzed. The result of this study is expected to be utilized for OPAC system and service improvement in the future.

  • Card-Not-Present (CNP) transactions taking place remotely over the Internet are becoming more prevalent. Cardholder authentication should be provided to prevent the CNP fraud resulting from the theft of stored credit card numbers. To address the security problems associated with CNP transactions, the use of a virtual card number derived from the transaction details for the payment has been proposed, instead of the real card number. Since all of the virtual card number schemes proposed so far are based on a password shared between the cardholder and card issuer, transaction disputes due to the malicious behavior of one of the parties involved in the transaction cannot be resolved. In this paper, a new virtual card number scheme is proposed, which is associated with the cardholder's public key for signature verification. It provides strong cardholder authentication and non-repudiation of the transaction without deploying a public-key infrastructure, so that the transaction dispute can be easily resolved. The proposed scheme is analyzed in terms of its security and usability, and compared with the previously proposed schemes.

  • This paper deals with the online privacy policy, which is designed to solve the information asymmetry problem between websites and internet users. We empirically analyze the recognition, confirmation of the online privacy policy, and its effects on online transaction behavior using a rich survey data representing 5,422 Korean internet users. Major results are as follows. First, there exists a significant difference between recognition and confirmation, and confirmation behavior is positively related with the importance of privacy issue and the experience of privacy invasion. Second, binary variable regressions show that internet user tends to participate in online transaction if he/she confirms the online privacy policy positively. Finally, if websites would make online privacy policy easy and short, a yearly online transaction market size of Korea would increase by 0.46 million participants and 22.4 billion KRW.

The paper deals with stock market reaction on Olympic sponsorship announcement for service organizations using event study method. Our research intention is to test 440 daily stock prices and transaction volumes, in order investigate the potent influence between the announcement of a grand sport sponsorship program and investors' behavior. For this study we examined the announcement data of three grand sponsors of Olympic Games of Athens 2004 (Alpha Bank. Delta and G.T.O) The main contribution of this study is to examine how stock investors' behavior is influenced by the sponsorship program of companies and to extend research scope of marketing field toward stock market. They authors suggest that organizations interested in influencing investors' behavior should invest in sponsorship activities at the sports' sector.

  • This paper proposes new methods and examples for improving fraud detection rules based on banking customer's transaction behaviors focused on anomaly detection method. This study investigates real example that FDS(Fraud Detection System) regards fraudulent transaction as legitimate transaction and figures out fraudulent types and transaction patterns. To understanding the cases that FDS regard legitimate transaction as fraudulent transaction, it investigates all transactions that requied additional authentications or outbound call. We infered additional facts to refine detection rules in progress of outbound calling and applied to existing detection rules to improve. The main results of this study is the following: (a) Type I error is decreased (b) Type II errors are also decreased. The major contribution of this paper is the improvement of effectiveness in detecting fraudulent transaction using transaction behaviors and providing a continuous method that elevate fraud detection rules.

  • Server transaction logs containing complete click-through data from a digital library of primarily image-based documents were analyzed to better understand user search session behavior. One month of data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and network analysis methods. The findings reveal iterative search behaviors centered on result views and evaluation and topical areas of focus for the search sessions. The study is novel in its combined analytical techniques and use of click-through data for image collections.

  • In this paper, we investigate a time-dependent double obstacle problem associated with the model of European call option pricing with transaction costs. We prove the existence and uniqueness of a W2,1p,loc solution to the problem. We then characterize the behavior of the free boundaries in terms of continuity and values of limit points.
