HLA를 이용한 지역 교통망 관리 방안 연구 (A Study of the Management for the Area Traffic Using High Level Architecture)

  • There are plenty of optimization models for the signal-system of a single intersection and area traffic. Some of those models are adopted for the real traffic signal control system. The simulators for a single crossroad have been developed, so that we could evaluate optimization models and traffic control systems. However, the simulators for the area traffic are still being developed. Therefore, there are many limitations in the analysis and evaluation for area traffic control systems. The area traffic is consist of several intersections interconnected which are very complicated and many traffic strategy are adopted for the control system. This paper features an effective area traffic control system by High Lever Architecture(HLA) which is a new developed simulation tool. In this paper, we discuss the design of HLA-based area traffic control simulation. We describe technical motivations for the HLA, the key elements of the architecture and how they are minimum and essential to the goal of reuse and interoperability.

기계학습과 시뮬레이션 기법을 융합한 교통 상태 예측 방법 개발 연구 (A Study on Traffic Prediction Using Hybrid Approach of Machine Learning and Simulation Techniques)

  • 빅데이터의 등장과 더불어 교통 상태 예측은 과거 이력 데이터 분석 방식에 힘을 싣고 발전되어 왔으나, 이 방법은 관측된 적 없는 돌발 상황에 충분히 대응하지 못한다는 약점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 기계학습과 시뮬레이션 기법의 융합을 통해 돌발 상황 발생 시 교통 상태 예측 정확도 감소를 보완할 수 있는 예측 기법을 제시한다. 데이터 기반 방식의 맹점은 과거에 관측된 적 없는 데이터 패턴이 인지되었을 때 드러난다. 본 연구에서는 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 과거 이력 데이터를 보강하는 방법으로 문제를 해결하고자 하였다. 제시한 방법은 기계학습 기반의 교통 예측을 수행하고, 예측 결과와 실시간으로 수집되는 교통 데이터를 지속적으로 비교하여 돌발 상황 발생 여부를 판단한다. 돌발 상황이 인지되었을 시, 시뮬레이션을 통해 생성한 데이터베이스를 활용하여 예측을 수행한다. 본 연구에서 제시한 방법은 실제 도로 구간을 대상으로 검증되었으며, 검증 결과 돌발 상황에서의 교통 상태 예측 정확도 향상을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 제시한 융합 교통 예측 방법은 향후 교통 예측 고도화에 이바지할 수 있을 것으로 전망된다.

  • In companion paper, the composition and structure of the traffic environment is derived. Rules to regulate agent behaviors and the frameworks to communicate between the agents are proposed. In this paper, the model of a driver agent which controls a vehicle agent is constructed. The driver agent is capable of having different driving styles. That is, each driver agent has individual behavior settings of the yielding index and the passing index. The yielding index can be defined as how often the agent yields in case of lane changes, and the passing index can be defined as how often the agent passes ahead. According to these indices, the agents overtake or make their lanes for other vehicles. Similarly, the vehicle agents can have various vehicle dynamic models. According to their dynamic characteristics, the vehicle agent shows its own behavior. The vehicle model of the vehicle agent contains the nonlinear subcomponents of engine, torque converter, automatic transmission, and wheels. The simulation has proceeded for an interrupted flow model. The result has shown that it is possible to express the characteristics of each vehicle and its driver in a traffic flow, and that the change of the traffic state is closely related with the distance and the signal delay between intersections. The system developed in this paper shows the effectiveness and the practical usefulness of the traffic simulation.

교통안전을 고려한 도시부도로의 돌발상황 교통관리전략 수립에 관한 연구 (Development of Traffic Management Strategies for Incident Conditions on Urban Highways Considering Traffic Safety)

  • PURPOSES : This study aims to investigate the direct and indirect influence areas from incidents on urban interrupted roadways and to develop traffic management strategies for each influence area. METHODS : Based on a literature review, various traffic management strategies for certain incidents were collected. In addition, the relationship between the measure of effectiveness and the characteristics of incidents was explored using an extensive simulation study. RESULTS : From the simulation studies, traffic delays increased as the number of lane closures increased, and the impact of lane closures was reduced to the direction upstream from the incident site. However, the magnitude of the delay change depended on the degree of saturation. Using these characteristics, the direct and indirect influence areas resulting from incidents were defined, and traffic management strategies were established for each direct and indirect influence area and for each level of incident. CONCLUSIONS: The results of this study will contribute to the improvement of national traffic safety by preventing secondary incidents and by effective adaptation to incident events.

고속도로 교통분석 프로그램(ExTRAM) 개발 (Development of Expressway TRaffic Analysis Model(ExTRAM))

  • 지속적인 도로 건설에도 불구하고 자동차의 급격한 증가와 주변 택지개발로 인해 고속도로 상습지정체가 나날이 심화되어 교통관리의 필요성과 운전자에 대한 교통정보제공 요구가 크게 부각되고 있다. 고속도로의 상습지정체를 해소하기 위해서는 혼잡의 원인과 유형, 특성에 따라 최적의 혼잡관리기법을 도출하고 사전 시행효과가 검토되어야하나, 기존의 교통분석 프로그램들은 국내 도로 및 교통조건, 교통류특성 등에 대한 반영 및 기 구축된 교통관리시스템(FTMS)과의 연계가 미흡하여, 효율적으로 고속도로 교통분석을 수행하기에는 시간적, 비용적으로 많은 제약이 따른다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고속도로 교통관리시스템의 수집자료에 기반하여 체계적이고 과학적인 혼잡관리방법론을 적용하기 위해 한국형 교통분석 모형 및 프로그램(ExTRAM)을 개발하였다. VISSIM과의 비교결과, 정체에 대한 모사와 대안평가에서 ExTRAM의 결과가 다소 나은 것으로 평가되었다. ExTRAM에 대한 보다 엄밀한 검증을 위해 오산~수원 구간의 15분 집계간격의 평균통행시간(TCS데이터)을 이용한 한 달 동안의 장기간 테스트를 수행한 결과, 평균통행시간 오차가 2.48분이었고, 최대 및 최소 오차가 각각 15.02분 및 0.03분으로 나타나 ExTRAM의 교통분석 결과가 일정 수준의 정확도를 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

고속도로 교통소음 예측-자동차 주행소음의 음향파워레벨 평가 (Prediction of Highway Traffic Noise - Estimation of Sound Power Level Emitted by Vehicles)

  • Precise highway traffic noise simulation and reduction require the accurate data for sound power levels omitted by vehicles, varied to road surface, traffic speed, vehicle types and makers, different from countries to countries. In this study, we have elaboratively measured Korea highway traffic noise and parameters affecting noise levels at the nearside carriageway edge. From numerical simulation using the measured results for highway traffic noise, we propose not only two correction factors to enhance the accuracy of Korea highway traffic sound power estimation using ASJ Model-1998 but also its typical power spectrum according to road surface type. The measured and predicted highway traffic noise levels using the proposed sound power show little difference within 1 dB.

도로터널 환기/제연 시스템 시뮬레이션 (A NUMERICAL STUDY OF THE VENTILATION AND FIRE SIMULATION IN A ROAD TUNNEL)

  • In the present study, flow characteristics inside a road tunnel are simulated for the ventilation flows due to jet fan system and flows induces by the traffic. Traffic ventilation is numerically simulated by multiple reference frame. From the results of steady state simulation of tunnel ventilation, it is found that the proper ventilation is achieved by the designed jet fan system along with ventilating flow induced by the traffic. A transient simulation is also performed for the case of vehicle fire in the tunnel reversing the direction of rotation of some fans. The results suggest that the heat and smoke can be controlled by the proper changing of fan operation mode. The present results can be used to design proper ventilation system and effective smoke control system as well.

도심 정체 상황에서의 자율주행 차선 변경 알고리즘 개발 및 평가를 위한 실도로 데이터 기반 시뮬레이션 환경 개발 (Human Driving Data Based Simulation Tool to Develop and Evaluate Automated Driving Systems' Lane Change Algorithm in Urban Congested Traffic)

  • This paper presents a simulation tool for developing and evaluating automated driving systems' lane change algorithm in urban congested traffic. The behavior of surrounding vehicles was modeled based on driver driving data measured in urban congested traffic. Surrounding vehicles are divided into aggressive vehicles and non-aggressive vehicles. The degree of aggressiveness is determined according to the lateral position to initiate interaction with the vehicle in the next lane. In addition, the desired velocity and desired time gap of each vehicle are all randomly assigned. The simulation was conducted by reflecting the cognitive limitations and control performance of the autonomous vehicle. It was possible to confirm the change in the lane change performance according to the variation of the lane change decision algorithm.

사용자 통화 특성을 고려한 무선 네트워크 시뮬레이터 구현 (Implementation of Wireless Network simulator considering a User's Call Characteristics)

  • Traditionally, simulation method is used to test and evaluate the performance of communication protocol or functional elements for mobile communication service. In this paper, wireless network simulator is implemented using the C++ object-oriented programming language. This simulator can simulate wireless data services, like as ad-hoc networks, by considering the user's mobility. In this paper, the simulator includes network traffic model to reflect wireless data service and traffic source model to represent a user's mobility similar to real service environment and traffic characteristics can be reflected on the simulation, and also more accurate simulation results can be got through that. In addition, by using object-oriented techniques, new service feature or environment can be easily added or changed so that the developed mobile communication simulator can reflect the real service environment all the time. This simulator can be used in adjusting the characteristics of wireless data hosts following the mobility of the user, and also can be used in building new wireless ad-hoc network routing protocols.

교통환경 정온화를 위한 도로 소음의 측정 및 ANC시스템에의 적용 특성 고찰 (A Study on the Characteristics of Applicability in the Active Noise Cancellation System and Measurement of the Road Noise for Traffic Calming)

  • Noise problem that occurs on the road is raising a lot of problems in the economic, social and environmental aspects. The objective of this paper is to propose ANC(active noise cancellation)-based road traffic noise reduction algorithm-model which can reduce noise by generating frequency opposed to noise sources to improve and complement the problem that existing physical form of a noise barrier. In this paper, we measured the noise characteristic from collection of two difference car noise also ANC simulation has been performed by using road traffic noises input. In order to compare the control performance, we performed noise reduction simulation of ANC by filtered-X LMS algorithm and delayed control signal injection. As a result of this simulation, we confirmed that convergence performance and noise decrease effect to the filtered-X LMS algorithm by inputting the road traffic noise.
