교통시설개선을 위한 위험도 도출에 관한 연구 (The Study of Danger Rate for Improvement of Traffic Facilities)

  • A traffic accident is occurred by unbalance of reciprocal action of driver, vehicle and road conditions. To prevent the traffic accident, rapid and perfect road improvement is needed. But most of road improvement plans have insufficient budget. So decision maker has to determine the priority to invest. A model in this study, analyzing the effect of road conditions to the traffic accident, helps to decide the priority in road improvement. This study considered five danger indices ; 1) traffic volume, 2) speed variance, 3) vehicle mixing rate, 4) curved line radius, and 5) difference between design speed and running speed. Danger rate composed by five indices can be a scale of priority of improvement. The model in this study didn't consider all of factors about traffic accident. But this study can propose the methodology for traffic safety policy. For deriving the model, this study used data from highways in Korea and United States. Therefore the model has to apply the highways only.

교통안전진단 개선방안들의 우선순위 산정 연구 (A Study on Practical Method of Utility Curve for Deciding Priority Order of the Improvements in Traffic Safety Audit)

  • Recently, a massive loss of life and property is occurring in Korea due to traffic accidents, with the rapid increase in cars. For improvement of traffic safety, the Korea Transportation Safety Authority intensively analyzes accident data in local governments with low traffic safety index, performs a field investigation to extract problems and offers local governments improvements for problems, by conducting the 'Special Survey of Actual Conditions of Traffic Safety' each year, starting 2008. But local governments cannot strongly push forward the improvement projects due to the limited budget and the uncertainty of the improvement plan effects. Therefore, this study suggested a model which applied the Utility concept to the AHP theory, in order to efficiently decide a priority of the improvement plans in accident black spots in consideration of the limited budget of local governments. The number of accidents in each spot for improvement and accident severity, traffic volume, pedestrian volume, the improvement project cost and the accident reduction effect were chosen as evaluation factors for deciding a priority, and data about the improvement plan costs and the accident reduction effects, traffic accidents and traffic volume in the spots to undergo the special research on the real condition of traffic accident in the past were collected from the existing studies. Then, regression analysis was carried out and the Utility Curve of each evaluation factor was computed. Based on the AHP analysis findings, this study devised a priority decision method which calculated the weight and the utility function of each evaluation factor and compared the total utility values. The AHP analysis findings showed that among the evaluation factors, accident severity had the biggest importance and it was followed by the improvement plan cost, the number of accidents, the improvement effect, traffic volume and pedestrian volume. The calculated utility function shows a rise in utility, as the variables of the 5 evaluation factors; the number of accidents, accident severity, the improvement plan effect, traffic volume and pedestrian volume increase and a fall in utility, as the variables of the improvement plan cost increase, since the improvement plan cost is included in the budget spent by a local government.

유무선 혼합망에서 웹 트래픽 성능에 관한 연구 (A Study about Web Traffic Performance on wired and wireless network)

  • Snoop was suitably designed for wired and wireless network as having snoop agent module in BS(Base Station) which is connecting to both wired and wireless network in order to supplement the problems of TCP. This study examined performance difference by using the web traffic taken wide possession in current internet traffic. The web traffic has greater amount of traffic, shorter life time, and smaller size than other traffics. This study found that snoop producing performance improvement of wireless network in the network mixed with the wired and wireless lead performance loss when transmitting web traffic. This study found that in case of web traffic is transmitted it bring a performance improvement of web traffic as computing BWE((Bandwidth Expansion), and also found that this study prove of performance improvement by decreasing local retranmission.

도시 교통문제에 대한 연구 -천안시를 중심으로- (An Analysis on the Traffic Problems of the Urban City)

  • 본 연구는 천안시를 대상으로 도시교통문제를 다루었다. 본 연구는 문헌조사와 실증조사를 병행하였다. 회수된 설문지 394부를 SPSS 15.0버전으로 빈도분석을 실시하였다. 천안시의 도시교통문제는 출 퇴근시의 교통체증 현상, 대중교통의 불편, 주차문제, 자동차로 인한 대기오염, 교통사고로 인한 불안 등을 들 수 있다. 교통문제의 개선방안으로는, 첫째, 합리적 교통수요의 관리에 따른 교통체계의 개선방안이 마련되어야 한다. 둘째, 천안시는 대중교통의 이용대상인 대학생이 많으므로 대학생을 대상으로 할인을 적용 대중교통 이용률을 높여야 한다. 셋째, 대중교통중심체제의 강화 및 개선을 통한 교통체증의 해결이 필요하다. 넷째, 도로 등 교통시설의 공급확대, 가로망체계 정비 및 신호운영체계의 개선을 적극적으로 추진해 나가야 한다. 특히 천안에는 오래된 도로의 정비가 필요하고 도로망이 복잡하게 얽혀있는데 이를 간단하게 개선함으로써 보다 접근성이 좋아질 것이다. 다섯째, 주차문제의 해결과 이용자들의 교통질서 의식함양 등 선진 교통문화의 정착이 필요하다.

교통정보센터 간 정보 연계체계 개선방안 (Improvement of Information Connection System among Traffic Information Centers)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 신뢰성 높은 교통정보 서비스를 위하여 교통정보센터 간 정보 연계체계 개선방안을 도출하는 것이다. 교통정보 연계체계의 문제점으로 교통정보센터 간 연계시간 과다 소요로 인한 오차 발생, 정보 생성시각 및 생성주체에 관한 정보 부재 등으로 인한 정보의 신뢰도 부족, 정보 연계 관리체계 미비 등의 문제점을 인식하였다. 교통정보 연계체계 개선방안으로 연계시간 최소화, 정보의 신뢰성 향상 및 연계 관리체계 구축방안을 제시하였다.

  • In this study, we formulated rational criteria to efficiently provide traffic information services via a crafted approach. By utilizing this, we presented a detailed traffic information service providing method that can overcome the limitations of existing link unit information provision system. Three methodologies such as user survey, data mining, and KHCM (Korea Highway Capacity Manual) utilization method were applied to formulate a rational expression standard for traffic information service. Each method was designed to establish a quantitative criterion for various traffic conditions and to enable user-oriented traffic information service in consideration of the traffic principal/compatibility. Considering the results of each methodological analysis in a comprehensive manner, the basic expression standards for traffic information service was formulated. Then we presented improvements such as traffic condition step by road, speed range of traffic condition, expression term of traffic condition and so on. In order to complement the problems of the information provision system of the existing link unit based on the derived improvement criterion, we presented the detailed traffic information service provision method by using the traffic speed data of the second order. And we applied this to the two links of Daegu city. The method presented in this research can improve the quality of traffic information service. Not only it can be used for various fields such as optimal route search, traffic safety service and so on.

아동 교통사고 사례분석을 통한 교통안전 문제점과 개선방안 - 아파트 단지 내 교통사고 중심으로 - (Traffic Safety Problems and Improvement Measures through Child Traffic Accident Case in Apartment Complex)

  • 이 연구는 생활안전 교통사고 중 취약계층인 아동들에게 발생하는 아파트단지 내 교통사고를 중심으로 사고발생의 문제점과 개선방안을 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 현재 아파트단지 내는 자동차, 오토바이, 전동킥보드 등의 주행이 많아지고 운전자와 보행자의 안전인식이 낮음에 따라 교통사고 발생이 빈번해지고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 아파트단지 내 도로는 도로교통법 상 '도로'에 해당되지 않는 도로 외 구역으로 처벌이나 법규가 의무화되어 있지 않음에 따라 아파트 단지 내 교통사고 위험성 인식이 매우 미흡한 실정이다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 아동 아파트단지 내 교통사고 사례를 파악하고 사고발생에 대한 문제점과 개선방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 아동 교통사고 사례를 통한 교통사고의 문제점 시사는 아동과 보호자 그리고 운전자들에게 위험을 인지시키고, 아파트 단지 내 교통안전 방안을 제시한다는 점에 의의가 있다.

  • 응용 레벨 트래픽 분류는 안정적인 네트워크 운영과 자원 관리를 위해서 필수적으로 요구된다. 트래픽분류에 있어서 페이로드 시그니쳐 기반 응용 레벨 트래픽 분류 방법은 고속 링크의 트래픽을 실시간으로 처리하는 과정에서 헤더 정보 및 통계 정보 이용 방법론에 비해 상대적으로 높은 부하를 발생시키며 처리 속도가 느린 단점을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 페이로드 시그니쳐 기반 트래픽 분류 시스템의 처리 속도를 향상 위하여 응용 트래픽의 지역성을 이용한 서버 IP, Port캐쉬 기반 트래픽 분석 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법을 학내 망의 실제 트래픽에 적용하여 최대 10배 이상의 처리 속도 향상과 10% 이상의 플로우 분석률을 향상 시킬 수 있었다.

  • This study was Performed to grasp of the problem and improvement in traffic noise environmental impact assessment(EIA). National institute of environmental research(NIER) traffic noise prediction model is in general use in internal EIA. In this study, NIER noise prediction model need to improve in that the predicted results lower than the measured results. The other predict model(KLC KEI) is more accurate. Also the volume and speed of traffic is need to standardize in traffic noise prediction.

Improvement in DRX Power Saving for Non-real-time Traffic in LTE

  • A discontinuous reception (DRX) operation is included in the Long Term Evolution (LTE) system to achieve power saving and prolonged battery life of the user equipment. An improvement in DRX power saving usually leads to a potential increase in the packet delay. An optimum DRX configuration depends on the current traffic, which is not easy to estimate accurately, particularly for non-real-time applications. In this paper, we propose a novel way to vary the DRX cycle length, avoiding a continuous estimation of the data traffic when only non-real-time applications are running with no active real-time applications. Because a small delay in non-real-time traffic does not essentially impact the user's experience adversely, we deliberately allow a limited amount of delay in our proposal to attain a significant improvement in power saving. Our proposal also improves the delay in service resumption after a long period of inactivity. We use a stochastic analysis assuming an M/G/1 queue to validate this improvement.
