수요예측 모형의 비교분석과 적용 (A Comparative Analysis of Forecasting Models and its Application)

  • Forecasting the future values of an observed time series is an important problem in many areas, including economics, traffic engineering, production planning, sales forecasting, and stock control. The purpose of this paper is aimed to discover the more efficient forecasting model through the parameter estimation and residual analysis among the quantitative method such as Winters' exponential smoothing model, Box-Jenkins' model, and Kalman filtering model. The mean of the time series is assumed to be a linear combination of known functions. For a parameter estimation and residual analysis, Winters', Box-Jenkins' model use Statgrap and Timeslab software, and Kalman filtering utilizes Fortran language. Therefore, this paper can be used in real fields to obtain the most effective forecasting model.

  • Damage estimation of a bridge structure is presented using ambient vibration data caused by the traffic loadings. The procedure consists of identification of the modal properties and assessment of the damage locations and severities. An experimental study is carried out on the bridge model subjected to vehicle loadings. Vertical accelerations of the bridge deck are measured at a limited number of locations. The modal parameters are identified from the free vibration signals extracted using the random decrement method. Then, the damage assessment is carried out based on the estimated modal parameters using the neural networks technique. The identified damage locations and severities agree reasonably well with the inflicted damages on the structure.

  • The major problem at a branch point for point-to-multipoint available bit rate(ABR) services in asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) networks is how to consolidate backward resource management(BRM) cells from each branch for a multicast connection. In this paper, we propose an efficient feedback consolidation algorithm based on an adaptive dynamic threshold(ADT) to eliminate the consolidation noise and the reduce the consolidation delay. The main idea of the ADT algorithm lies in that each branch point estimates the ABR traffic condition of the network through the virtual queue estimation and the transmission threshold of the queue level in branch points is adaptively controlled according to the estimation. Simulation results show that the proposed ADT algorithm can achieve a faster response in congestion status and a higher link utilization compared with the previous works.

DTG Big Data Analysis for Fuel Consumption Estimation

  • Big data information and pattern analysis have applications in many industrial sectors. To reduce energy consumption effectively, the eco-driving method that reduces the fuel consumption of vehicles has recently come under scrutiny. Using big data on commercial vehicles obtained from digital tachographs (DTGs), it is possible not only to aid traffic safety but also improve eco-driving. In this study, we estimate fuel consumption efficiency by processing and analyzing DTG big data for commercial vehicles using parallel processing with the MapReduce mechanism. Compared to the conventional measurement of fuel consumption using the On-Board Diagnostics II (OBD-II) device, in this paper, we use actual DTG data and OBD-II fuel consumption data to identify meaningful relationships to calculate fuel efficiency rates. Based on the driving pattern extracted from DTG data, estimating fuel consumption is possible by analyzing driving patterns obtained only from DTG big data.

  • 본 논문은 통신망 설계/성능분석 및 동적라우팅(Dynamic Routing)등 통신망 제반 요소기술의 기초자료가 되는 단대단 수요트래픽의 최적값을 찾는 방법 에 관한 것으로, 기본 알고리듬은 ITC 13차에서 발표되어 속도가 빠르고 메 모리절약 기법이 뛰어난 것으로 평가되고 있는 PPDEA-HM(Point-to-Point Demand Estimation Algorithm using Hopfield Model)을 이용하였다. 이 알 고리듬은 망의 소통율에 따라 성능에 차이가 나므로 이 점을 보완한 MPPDEA-HM(Modified Point-to-Point Demand Estimation Algorithm using Hopfield Model)을 제안하며, 두 결과들이 variation을 비교하여 MPPDEA-HM의 특성이 보다 안정화되었음을 보였다.

퍼지추론을 이용한 도로경로선택 모델화 수법 (Modelling Method of Road Choice using Fuzzy Reasoning)

  • Fuzzy reasoning has been applied to analysis of traffic problems on urban arterial road. As the analysis on factors of route choice has been already carried out, its result can be used for construction of the model. Route choice rate estimation by fuzzy reasoning was discussed from its structure and accuracy. The major objective of the study is to introduce some kinds of methods with fuzzy reasoning and to make their feature obvious. First, the production system model is introduced with consideration of reality to actual travel behavior. Second, overlapping areas of fuzzy language function are investigated. Finally, process of fuzzy reasoning was also considered. Five kinds of Fuzzy reasoning are compared to investigate in relation between shapes of membership function and estimation validity.

교통하중에 의한 상시진동기록을 이용한 교량의 손상추정기법 (Damage Estimation of Bridge Using Vibration Data Caused by Ordinary Traffic Loadings)

  • 본 연구에서는 차량하중에 의한 상시진동기록을 이용한 교량의 손상추정기법을 연구하였다. 즉, 차량진행 중 측정된 신호로부터 구조물의 모드특성을 구하고, 이를 이용하여 손상위치 및 손상정도를 추정하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안기법의 검증을 위하여 차량하중을 재하할 수 있는 모형교량을 제작하여 손상실험을 수행하였다. 차량진행 중 교량의 수직가속도를 계측하였으며, 측정된 가속도시계열로부터 random decrement(RD) 기법을 사용하여 자유진동신호를 구한 후, 이로부터 구조물의 모드특성을 추정하였다. 추정된 모드특성을 기초로 신경망기법을 적용하여 손상위치 및 손상정도를 추정하였으며, 추정된 결과는 실제 손상과 비교적 잘 일치하였다.

  • The delay on two-lane, Two-way roads is a very important factor which tends to cause relatively high driver loads and too much delay often leads to traffic accidents. In this study a generalized form of delay estimation model was developed based on constant slow moving vehicle speeds, 100% no-passing zone, and flat terrain highway sections. To validate the model, a comparison was made with John Morrall's SMV(Slow Moving Vehicle)model as well as with TWOPAS model. Also a sensitivity analysis was performed to check accuracy of the model. It was found that the model was easy to apply and yet provided reasonable results for experimental conditions specified in the study. It was recommended that speed calculation procedure of the model be improved by further studies, so that the effect of speed acceleration or deceleration according to highway geometries on delay could be analyzed more accurately.

호모그래피행렬을 이용한 노면검출 (Ground Plane Detection Using Homography Matrix)

  • This paper presents a robust method for ground plane detection in vision-based applications based on a monocular sequence of images with a non-stationary camera. The proposed method, which is based on the reliable estimation of the homography between two frames taken from the sequence, aims at designing a practical system to detect road surface from traffic scenes. The homography is computed using a feature matching approach, which often gives rise to inaccurate matches or undesirable matches from out of the ground plane. Hence, the proposed homography estimation minimizes the effects from erroneous feature matching by the evaluation of the difference between the predicted and the observed matrices. The method is successfully demonstrated for the detection of road surface performed on experiments to fill an information void area taken place from geometric transformation applied to captured images by an in-vehicle camera system.

  • This paper presents design of meter for estimation Committed Information Rate(CIR) in Differentiated Services(DiffServ) networks. The DiffServ is a target model rather than a specification that contains detailed information about the required implementation. DiffServ provides a moderate level of quality differentiation without strict guarantees[1]. A DiffServ router consists of different components including classifier, meter, marker, dropper, shaper and scheduler. In this paper, we use the benefits of the fuzzy logic controller to design a fuzzy based traffic conditioner for DiffServ[2]. Simulations show that the approach is efficient and promising.
