고속도로 영업소 광장의 횡방향 럼블스트립으로 발생되는 소음 조사 (A Noise Investigation of Transverse Rumble Strip at Toll Plaza of Highway)

  • PURPOSES: This study is to investigate a generated traffic noise when vehicle pass over a transverse rumble strip at toll plaza of highway. METHODS: To investigate traffic noise at toll plaza of highway, Pass-by method which is the most common used for measuring traffic noise was adopted and the traffic noise at toll plaza was measured for 10 min per hour for 11hours(13:00~24:00). RESULTS: The measured traffic noise by pass-by method was changed as function of the transverse rumble strip configuration. Generally, the maximum difference among three noise measurement sections was 7 dB(A). It might be related with traffic speed. Also, the measured traffic noise was strongly generated from a passenger car which was 2 axle. It means that the most of traffic noise on the road is generated at tire/pavement interface of the passenger car. CONCLUSIONS: The traffic noise was strongly related with vehicle speed and transverse rumble strip configuration on the road. For driver safety, the transverse rumble strip is definitely necessary. However, the complaints from residents near highway was increased by traffic noise from transverse rumble strip. Therefore, To satisfy both safety and reduction of traffic noise, the development of configuration of transverse rumble strip is necessary in the further study.

  • 신뢰성있는 교통정보를 제공하기 위해서는 정확한 자료의 수집이 무엇보다 중요하다. 현재 자료 수집은 승용차, 택시를 프로브차량으로 이용하고 있어 신뢰도가 떨어지는 문제가 있다. 버스통행시간을 이용하여 일반차량의 통행시간을 산정하는 모형을 개발한다면 승용차, 택시를 프로브 차량으로 이용하는 것보다 수집되는 정보의 양이나 질이 보다 향상될 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 버스통행시간에 영향을 미치는 변수들을 고려하여 각 CASE에 맞는 모형식을 개발하고, 실제 일반차량 통행시간과 비교를 통해 통계적 적합성을 검증하고자 한다.

고속도로 톨게이트 요금수납원 소음노출 수준 평가 (Noise level Assessment Exposed to Cashiers in the Highway Tollbooth)

  • According to the survey for working environment of the cashiers in highway tollbooths, workers replied that noise was the most harmful substances next to air pollutant in the tollbooth. Researches on the noise levels exposed to cashiers in the highway tollbooth scarcely have been performed. Therefore, the aim of this study was to acquire baseline data to prevent health impairments of the cashiers by evaluating noise level exposed to them. Noise dosimeters were used for monitoring workers' noise exposure level in the tollbooths at 8 different highway tollgates. The noise levels of tollbooths did not exceed noise exposure limit of the ministry of labor, 90 dB(A). The average TWA inside of the tollbooths was 55.4 dB(A) and the average TWA outside of tollbooths was 58.3 dB(A). The average TWA outside of tollbooths was slightly higher than that of inside of tollbooths. However, the significance probability(p-value) was 0.255 which means statistically not significant. The noise levels inside and outside of tollbooth were statistically significant to both mean traffic volume per day and traffic volume of passenger car.

부산지역 해수욕장 개장시 교통량 변화에 따른 대기오염물질 배출량 및 농도 특성 분석 (Characteristics of the Emissions and Concentrations of Air Pollutants with Change in Traffic Volume during the Beach Opening Period in Busan)

  • The impact of a considerable increase in traffic volume on the emission and concentrations of air pollutants was investigated at three beaches (Haeundae (HB), Gwanganri (GB), and Songjeong (SB)) in Busan during beach opening period (BOP) in 2011. During the BOP, passenger car was the major vehicle type, followed by taxi, and van. CO was the major contributor of total air pollutant emissions followed by NOx, VOC, and $PM_{10}$. For the temporal variation of the emission of air pollutants during the BOP, it was generally the highest in the afternoon followed by the evening and morning, except for SB. For the spatial variation of their emission, it was the highest at GB followed by SB and HB. The emissions of air pollutants during the BOP were generally higher than those during the Non-BOP, except for HB. In contrast, the significant impact of the traffic volume increase on the concentrations of air pollutants at monitoring sites near the three beaches during the BOP were not found compared to the Non-BOP due to the significant distances between monitoring sites of air pollutants and monitoring sites of traffic volume at the beaches.

서울시 주요도로변 대기 중 니켈, 크롬, 구리 농도와 차종별 교통량과의 상관관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Ni, Cr and Cu Concentrations of Ambient Air Adjacent to Heavy Traffic Road Side in Seoul and Correlations between Those and Traffic Volume by Types of Car)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the concentrations of Ni, Cr and Cu, to analyze the correlations among those, and between concentrations and traffic volumes by type of car in roadside ambient air at Chongro-, Chungkechon- and Kangnam terminal- area in Seoul from October 1st to October 31st in 1997. The results were as follows ; 1. The means of concentrations of Ni in roadside ambient air were 34.1, 25.1 and 23.6 ng/m$^3$ at Chungkechon, Kangnam terminal and Chongro area, respectively. The highest concentrations of Ni by time were 26.8 in the evening, 45.5 in the evening and 49.4 ng/m$^3$ in the forenoon at Chongro, Chungkechon and Kangnam terminal area, respectively. 2. The means of concentrations of Cr in road side ambient air were 97.7, 80.1 and 70.9 ng/m$^3$ at Chong, Chungkechon and Kangnam terminal area, respectively. The highest concentrations of Cu by time were 205.3 in the evening, 114.4 in the evening and 92.3 ng/m$^3$ in the forenoon at Chongro, Chungkechon and Kangnam terminal area, respectively. 4. The tendencies of concentrations of Ni and Cr by time were similar to each other. Especially, at Kangnam terminal area, correlation coefficients between concentrations of Ni and Cr and the traffic volume of bus were high(r=0.997,0.975). 5. The tendency of concentration of Cu and the traffic volume of passenger car at each area were high(r=0.832, 0.968) 6. Correlation coefficients between Cu and Zn, and between Ni and Cr were 0.762 and 0.842, respectively. This means that the possibility of co-existence of Cu-Zn or Ni-Cr is very high.

버스우선신호시스템 적용 효과 평가 (Effectiveness Assesment of Bus Signal Priority Systems)

  • 본 연구에서는 향후 국내 도입이 예상되는 버스 우선신호시스템의 도입시 발생하는 운영상 효과를 현장조사 자료를 기반으로 평가하여 제시하였다. 이를 위하여 시스템 도입 전후의 통행시간과 교통량을 측정하여, 차종별 개별 통행시간의 분포와 교통량, 그리고 통행시간의 변화를 분석하였다. 사전/사후 조사의 교통량 분석 결과, 승용차와 버스 모두 방향별로 약간의 교통량 변화가 나타났으나, 그 크기는 통행시간의 변화에 큰 영향을 미치지 않았다. 개별차량의 통행시간을 분석한 결과, 버스 우선신호제어 실시 후에 해당 구간의 승용차 및 버스의 통행시간 분포가 매우 개선되었다. 그리고 통행속도의 경우, 첨두와 비첨두 시간대 모두 주도로 방향의 버스 및 승용차의 통행속도가 증가하였다. 전체적으로 승용차 속도는 25.9 km/h에서 27.6 km/h로 약 6.5% 증가하였고, 버스는 19.2 km/h에서 21.3 km/h로 약 10.5% 속도가 증가하였다. 통계적 검증 결과 이러한 속도 변화는 95%신뢰수준에서 통계적으로 유의하였다. 본 연구결과는 향후 버스우선신호 관련 연구의 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

교통운영 개선을 통한 도로교통소음 저감 대안별 효과분석 (An Analysis of Effect on Road Traffic Noise Reduction Substitute through Traffic Management Improved)

  • 급속한 도시인구의 증가와 교통량증가로 도로변 주거지역의 소음문제가 날로 심각해지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 도로교통량과 건축물의 위치와 형태를 고려한 소음수준을 평면적, 입체적으로 예측한다. 소음현황수준을 기초로 하여 소음원인 차량의 속도제어와 차종별 통행제한을 통한 변화치를 비교하여 개선방안을 도출하고자 한다. 분석결과 건물의 입체적분석보다 평면적 분석에서 소음환경기준치를 초과하는 면적의 비율이 높았고 주간보다 야간의 초과비율이 높게 나타났다. 개선방안은 하나의 방안을 실시했을 때보다 여러가지의 개선방안을 조합한 경우에 저감효과가 높게 나타났다.

중앙버스전용차로가 설치된 간선도로의 서비스수준 분석방법에 관한 연구 (A Study of Level of Service Analysis Method of Arterials including Exclusive Median Bus Lanes)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this paper is to develop a methodology to estimate level of service of arterial including Exclusive Median Bus Lanes. METHODS : On 6 Exclusive Median Bus Lanes routes in Seoul, bus travel time and number of bus-stop per km were investigated. Also whether or not passing lane exists at bus-stop was checked. Based on the data from sites, bus travel time was estimated according to length of segment, number of bus-stop per km and whether or not passing lane exists at bus-stop. RESULTS : A bus travel time table was developed according to length of segment, number of bus-stop per km and whether or not passing lane exists at bus-stop. After bus travel speed and passenger car travel speed is estimated based on each travel time table and length of segment, two speeds are combined with weighted average speed using traffic volume of each lane group. Then weighted average speed is a measure of effectiveness of arterial including Exclusive Median Bus Lanes. CONCLUSIONS : It can be concluded that the proposed methodology can estimate level of service of arterial including Exclusive Median Bus Lanes considering the operation characteristics of Exclusive Median Bus Lanes.

차종별 교통류 모형을 이용한 편도 2차로 고속도로 공사구간 용량 산정 (Estimation of Capacity at Two-Lane Freeway Work Zone Using Traffic Flow Models of Each Vehicle-Type)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 차종별 교통류 모형을 이용한 편도 2차로 고속도로 공사구간의 용량 값을 산정하는 것이다. 공사구간의 교통류 모형은 공사구간의 유입부 및 유출부를 대상으로 차종별 모형과 승용차 환산계수를 적용한 전체 차량에 대한 모형으로 도출하였다. 차종별 모형에서 산정된 최대교통류율은 승용차환산계수 및 중차량 비율을 적용하여 공사구간의 용량 값으로 전환하였다. 차종별 모형의 유입부 및 유출부 최대교통류율 값은 각각 1,845pcphpl과 1,884pcphpl로 산정되었으며 차량 전체를 대상으로 한 모형의 최대교통류율은 차종별 결과보다 높게 분석되었다. 모형의 비교 검증을 위하여 최대밀도에 따른 거리 차두간격을 적용하였다. 공사구간의 용량은 공사구간의 흐름이 안정된 유출부 용량보다 공사구간 진입을 위한 차선 변경 등으로 교통흐름이 원활하지 못한 유입부 용량에 좌우되므로 유입부 교통류 모형의 최대교통류율 값인 1,800pcphpl을 편도 2차로 고속도로 공사구간 용량 값으로 산정하였다.

미시적 시뮬레이션을 이용한 중앙버스전용차로 효과분석 (Effectiveness Analysis of Exclusive Median Bus Lane that Uses Microsimulation)

  • PURPOSES : In this study, the effects of when median exclusive bus lanes were applied to Daejeon trunk road (Wolpyeng crossway~Seodaejeon crossway, 6.3km) and (Daeduck Bridge 4~Kyeryong 4, 2.6km) by Microscopic Simulation VISSIM (5.0) was studied. The median exclusive bus lanes are one of the measures of transportation system manage techniques that can especially improve the efficiency of public transportation facilities. METHODS : According to the analysis of VISSIM on the Gyerong mainroad and Daedeok mainroad, when the median exclusive bus lanes were applied unlike when the roadside bus-only lanes were applied, the average travel speed of vehicles decreased but the average delay time and travel time increased. This arised from the changes in the geometric structure of the road which occurred the reduction of vehicle lane in the center of the road. RESULTS : In the case of bus, on the other hand, the average travel speed increased but the average delay time and travel time decreased. This is because the problems such as illegal parking and stopping, secondary road in out vehicle, and conflict of intersection right turn that roadside bus-only lanes occurred was solved. CONCLUSIONS : Although the introduction of median exclusive bus lanes will have a negative effect on general traffic flow due to the aggravation of travel, decrease of passenger car usage will lead to decrease of traffic volume. Therefore, smooth vehicle travel is expected.
