Analysis of interference requirements in SBAS receiver for Flight Test (비행시험을 위한 SBAS수신기 간섭 요구사항 분석)

  • Recently, as the air traffic volume has been explosively increased, various studies are being conducted to increase the air passenger capacity. In order to compensate the limitation of the separation distance on the aerodrome established on the basis of existing VOR / DME equipment, GNSS utilizing satellite is considered. In addition, we are trying to obtain more precise location information by using SBAS, a system that can correct GNSS error. ICAO recommends introducing SBAS until 2025, and Korea has also started to develop KASS, a Korean SBAS since 2014. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the interference threshold for the measurement items and the receiving antenna gain according to the elevation angle of the satellite receiving antenna.

Training Sample of Artificial Neural Networks for Predicting Signalized Intersection Queue Length (신호교차로 대기행렬 예측을 위한 인공신경망의 학습자료 구성분석)

  • The Purpose of this study is to analyze wether the composition of training sample have a relation with the Predictive ability and the learning results of ANNs(Artificial Neural Networks) fur predicting one cycle ahead of the queue length(veh.) in a signalized intersection. In this study, ANNs\` training sample is classified into the assumption of two cases. The first is to utilize time-series(Per cycle) data of queue length which would be detected by one detector (loop or video) The second is to use time-space correlated data(such as: a upstream feed-in flow, a link travel time, a approach maximum stationary queue length, a departure volume) which would be detected by a integrative vehicle detection systems (loop detector, video detector, RFIDs) which would be installed between the upstream node(intersection) and downstream node. The major findings from this paper is In Daechi Intersection(GangNamGu, Seoul), in the case of ANNs\` training sample constructed by time-space correlated data between the upstream node(intersection) and downstream node, the pattern recognition ability of an interrupted traffic flow is better.

  • Once baggage demand of passengers is forecast, BHS requirements must be analyzed, i.e., the number of originating/transferring/terminating bags to be handled, the number of conveyor lines to be installed, the number of containers for baggage make-up, the number of claim devices for baggage claim, and so on. Therefore, the determination of the baggage traffic volume is one of the most important analysis components for the airport design. Accordingly, this research proposes time-based distribution table models in order to accurately estimate BHS requirements to obtain design criteria in airport design phase. As the BHS requirements are ascertained, related requirements of the facilities can be determined by applying actual specifications of devices, i.e., throughput. This research found that the proposed mathematical model gives a good reflection of IIA (Incheon International Airport)'s operational condition. That means the model provides apparent reliability and feasibility. Furthermore, the specifications of devices are the newest figures. This fact supports that the research provides more effcient and reliable results.

  • The ongoing development of Distriparks, the increase in workers inside the warehouses, and the growth in traffic volume have shifted the attention of the many D.C. operators on how to utilize their warehouse spaces more profitably and economically. A total of 550 cars and trucks are illegally parked at the distribution centers everyday. To meet these challenges, port authorities are looking closely at how they can establish effective countermeasures to solve this problem and satisfy customers of the Distripark. In order to answer these questions, this article sought to identity and analyze the current status of the illegal parking issues and main causes of that phenomena. In addition to summarizing an actual outcomes of the illegal parking problems, the research also examines the legal and practical countermeasures of this issues. Finally this research tries to find future solutions for ports in the Distripark development process, with particular reference to the legal and managerial aspects.

Establishing Probability-Based Warrants for Left-Turn Lanes at Unsignalized Intersections (확률기반 비신호교차로의 좌회전 전용차로 설치 기준 정립)

  • This study is to establish the traffic volume-based warrants of left-turn lanes in unsignalized intersections based on a risk probability methodology. This study applied a risk probability of a potential rear-end collision between a left-turn vehicle and the immediately following through vehicle. With the shifted negative exponential model and the compound probability theorem, the risk probability can be expressed as the function of directional volumes, opposing volumes and the percentage of left-turns for a two-lane and four-land highway, respectively. The warrants of installing left-turn lanes on unsignalized intersections were developed with the risk probability. The warrants define the total approaching and opposing volumes to encourage a left-turn lane as a function of operating speed, percentage of left-turn, and number of lanes.

Duplicate Video Packet Transmission for Packet Loss-resilience (패킷 손실에 강인한 중복 비디오 패킷 전송 기법)

  • The transmission of duplicate packets provides a great loss-resilience without undue time-delay in the video transmission over packet loss networks. But this method generally deteriorates the problem of traffic congestion because of the increased bit-rate required for duplicate transmission. In this paper, we propose an efficient packetization and duplicate transmission of video packets. The proposed method transmits only the video signal with high priority for each video macroblock that is quite small in volume but very important for the reconstruction of the video. The proposed method significantly reduces the required bit-rate for duplicate transmission. An efficient packetization method is also proposed to reduce additional packet overhead which is required for transmitting the duplicate data. The duplicated high priority data of the Previous video slice is transmitted as a Piggyback to the data Packet of the current video slice. It is shown by simulations that the proposed method remarkably improves the packet loss-resilience for video transmission only with small increase of redundant duplicated data for each slice.

  • The method which research a standardization from real time cyber threat is finding the suspicious indication above the attack against cyber space include internet worm, virus and hacking using analysis the event of each security system through correlation with the critical point, and draft a general standardization plan through statistical analysis of this evaluation result. It means that becomes the basis which constructs the effective cyber attack response system. Especially at the time of security accident occurrence, It overcomes the problem of existing security system through a definition of the event of security system and traffic volume and a concretize of database input method, and propose the standardization plan which is the cornerstone real time response and early warning system. a general standardization plan of this paper summarizes that put out of threat index, threat rating through adding this index and the package of early warning process, output a basis of cyber threat index calculation.

  • In this paper, we analyze the most suitable RA method among PAMA, DAMA, and RA classified by the multiple access method of satellite communication in the rapidly changing traffic environment according to the emergency and tactical situation. It suggests an alternative to improve the limit of output degradation. Based on the CRDSA protocol selected as the standard of DVB-RCS2 among the current satellite communication methods, CRDSA2R (Contention) maintains an optimal RA channel environment by checking the limitations in an environment where packet volume is rapidly increasing and observing channel load and channel conditions. We propose a Resolution Diversity Slotted ALOHA with Adaptive Random Access.

Development of a Collision Risk Assessment System for Optimum Safe Route (최적안전항로를 위한 충돌위험도 평가시스템의 개발)

  • In coastal waters where the traffic volume of the ship is high, there is a high possibility of a collision accident because complicated encounter situations frequently occurs between ships. To reduce the collision accidents at sea, a quantitative collision risk assessment is required in addition to the navigator's compliance with COLREG. In this study, a new collision risk assessment system was developed to evaluate the collision risk on ship's planned sailing routes. The appropriate collision risk assessment method was proposed on the basis of reviewing existing collision risk assessment models. The system was developed using MATLAB and it consists of three parts: Map, Bumper and Assessment. The developed system was applied to the test sea area with simple computational conditions for testing and to actual sea areas with real computational conditions for validation. The results show the length of own ship, ship's sailing time and sailing routes affect collision risks. The developed system is expected to be helpful for navigators to choose the optimum safe route before sailing.

m-Health System for Processing of Clinical Biosignals based Android Platform (안드로이드 플랫폼 기반의 임상 바이오신호 처리를 위한 모바일 헬스 시스템)

  • Management of biosignal data in mobile devices causes many problems in real-time transmission of large volume of multimedia data or storage devices. Therefore, this research paper intends to suggest an m-Health system, a clinical data processing system using mobile in order to provide quick medical service. This system deployed health system on IP network, compounded outputs from many bio sensing in remote sites and performed integrated data processing electronically on various bio sensors. The m-health system measures and monitors various biosignals and sends them to data servers of remote hospitals. It is an Android-based mobile application which patients and their family and medical staff can use anywhere anytime. Medical staff access patient data from hospital data servers and provide feedback on medical diagnosis and prescription to patients or users. Video stream for patient monitoring uses a scalable transcoding technique to decides data size appropriate for network traffic and sends video stream, remarkably reducing loads of mobile systems and networks.
