Packet scheduling algorithm of increasing of fairness according to traffic characteristics in HSDPA (고속무선통신에서 트래픽 특성에 따른 공평성 증대를 위한 패킷 스케줄링 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we propose a packet scheduling algorithm that assigns different number of HS-PDSCH(High Speed Primary Downlink Shared Channel) to the service user according to the received signal to interference ratio of CPICH(Common Pilot Channel) and to the traffic characteristics. Assigned channel number is determined by the signal to interference ratio level from CPICH. The highest signal to interference ratio user gets the number of channels based on the signal to interference ratio table and the remained channels are assigned to the other level users. Therefore the proposed scheme can provide the similar maximum service throughput and higher fairness than existing scheduling algorithm. Simulation results show that our algorithm can provide the similar maximum service throughput and higher fairness than MAX C/I algorithm and can also support the higher service throughput than proportional fairness scheme.

  • Noise problem that occurs on the road is raising a lot of problems in the economic, social and environmental aspects. The objective of this paper is to propose ANC(active noise cancellation)-based road traffic noise reduction algorithm-model which can reduce noise by generating frequency opposed to noise sources to improve and complement the problem that existing physical form of a noise barrier. In this paper, we measured the noise characteristic from collection of two difference car noise also ANC simulation has been performed by using road traffic noises input. In order to compare the control performance, we performed noise reduction simulation of ANC by filtered-X LMS algorithm and delayed control signal injection. As a result of this simulation, we confirmed that convergence performance and noise decrease effect to the filtered-X LMS algorithm by inputting the road traffic noise.

  • Traffic monitoring method is mainly loop detector and piezo sensor. But this method is only detecting the number of vehicle. Monitoring traffic volume is not checking the number of vehicle but checking the length of access road, width of road, number of passing people, passing vehicle, delayed vehicle. The traffic signal control cycle is not fixed by only passing vehicle number but all related traffic proposal. This paper proposed selecting common characteristic out of each unrelated traffic proposal through Analytic Hierachy Process and this characteristic is applied to compose fuzzy sensor algorithm which find out new traffic volume concept of confusion degree. The accumulated delayed vehicle time is shorter in new fuzzy sensor algorithm applied by AHP than other traffic method

  • This paper describes system and its algorithm which can measure traffic flow on the road by using industrial television applied in industry. This algorithm is using the real-time processing of dynamic scenes. The processing algorithm of dynamic scenes is developed and proved its validity by designing VISC (Video Information Sampler and Converter). The accuracy of this algorithm is enhanced by allocating sampling points in cross-direction of the vehicles.

  • Recently, the number of private cars has increased sharply due to the increase in national income. The sudden increase in the number of vehicles in limited territory has caused serious traffic congestion and the traffic congestion cost wasted on the road due to such traffic congestion is increasing every year. To solve this problem, we propose a traffic signal control system using image processing. In this paper, we use the camera installed at the intersection to measure the amount of traffic flowing in and out of each road simultaneously. We propose a traffic signal control system that can prevent traffic congestion before it happens. In the case of applying the traffic signal control system proposed in this paper to the daytime, the traffic volume could be measured accurately. However, the result of the experiment with the night-time general camera and the headlight with the infrared camera at the night-time of 72.8% was 86.6%.

  • As a sophisticated detection technology, LIDAR has been widely employed to probe low-altitude windshear. Due to the drawbacks of the traditional ramp algorithm, the alarm accuracy of the LIDAR has not been satisfactory. Aiming at settling this matter, a novel method is proposed on the basis of improved signal smoothing and second windshear detection, which essentially acts as a combination of ramp algorithm and segmentation approach, involving the human factor as well as signal fluctuations. Experiments on the real and artificial signals verify our approach.

  • The purpose of ATM traffic management is to protect the network using minimum resources and guarantee the requred QoS and also it is desirable to provide fairness between input channels. In this paper, we propose the TBBM(threshold based buffer management) algorithm to improve fairness between input channels and utilization of ATM networks. TBBM algorithm controls output cell rate dynamically based on threshold. The result shows that the required bandwidth of the TBBM algorithm is 14.3% lower in audio traffic and 41.8% lower in video traffic than that of theoretically calculated equivalent capacity method. and also reveals that the TBBM algorithm provide improved CLR fairness between input channels

  • Due to continuous change in traffic and increase in traffic volumes at the intersection, efficient traffic control system is required to manage road situations flexibly in accordance with the change occurring every hour. In this paper, we study the control systems which will help us to determine the interva ls of intersection following the autonomous analysis of complexity of the road. Fuzzy logic control concept was applied to the fuzzy logic controller(FLC) for controlling traffic signal. Furthermore the fuzzy signal systems were compare with the regular signal systems to prove higher performance of the FLC presente d in the paper. By means of simulation, the validity of FLC was proven. About 6% increase in the efficiency of traffic control based on the proposed algorithm in this paper was when we use the simulation.

  • In this paper, we propose a fuzzy traffic controller that is able to cope with traffic congestion appropriately. In order to consider such situation as loss of green time caused by spillback of upper crossroad, it imports a degree of traffic congestion of upper roads which vehicles on a crossroad are to proceed to. We constructed the equal-partitioned fuzzy traffic controller that uses the membership functions of the same size and shape, and modified the size and shape, and modified the size and shape of its membership functions by the membership function modification algorithm. In experiment, we compared and analyzed the fixed signal controller, the fuzzy traffic controller with the membership of the same size and shape, and the modified fuzzy traffic controller by using the delay time, the proportion of entered vehicles to occurred vehicles and the proportion of passed vehicles to entered vehicles. As a result of experiment, the modified fuzzy controller showed more enhanced performance than others.
