  • An SNMP manager requests a value in MIB of a designated object to an agent by management policy defined in the SNMP, and then the agent responds to this manager. So, it causes a lot of networks traffic between them, Specially, repetitious occurrence of sending-receiving information related to the same object is very inefficient when the trend analysis of traffic is performed. In this paper, an efficient SNMP is proposed to add new PDUs to the existing SNMP in order to accept time function. Utilizing this PDU, it minimizes unnecessary sending-receiving information and collects information on trend management appropriately. The implemented SNMP is tested for compatibility with the existing SNMP and decreases the amount of network traffic greatly.

  • This paper suggests a user based OST(Open Street Traffic) system that solves TPEG's one-way communication problem, UTIS's limited usage and DSRC's small traffic bandwidth. In current commercial TPEG service, only some service providers collect traffic information. Thus, it can't cover traffic status in local lanes And UTIS, which local governments and police supports, requires additional equipments. Currently, only taxi and official vehicles use this system. Therefore, new traffic service by mobile device and user's participation can provide very detail traffic information coupling with previous traffic systems. But in this new system, real-time high volume data can be a problem. So, in this paper, new data storage manager design(TDSM :Traffic Data Storage Manager) is suggested and its performance is measured against commercial DBMS.

  • Network management for detail analysis can cause speed decline of application in case of lack band width by traffic increase of the explosive Internet. Because a manager requests MIB value for the desired objects to an agent by management policy, and then the agent responds to the manager. Such processes are repeated, so it can cause increase of network traffic. Specially, repetitious occurrence of sending-receiving information is very inefficient for a same object when a trend analysis of traffic is performed. In this paper, an efficient SNMP is proposed to add new PDUs into the existing SNMP in order to accept time function. Utilizing this PDU, it minimizes unnecessary sending-receiving message and collects information for trend management of network efficiently. This proposed SNMP is tested for compatibility with the existing SNMP and decreases amount of network traffic largely

  • Departure Manager (DMAN) is a tool to optimize the departure sequence and to suggest appropriate take-off time and off-block time of each departure aircraft to the air traffic controllers. To that end, Variable Taxi Time (VTT), which is time duration of the aircraft from the stand to the runway, should be estimated. In this paper, a study for development of VTT prediction algorithm based on machine learning techniques is presented. The factors affecting aircraft taxi speeds were identified through the analysis of historical traffic data on the airport surface. The prediction model suggested in this study consists of several sub-models that reflect different types of surface maneuvers based on the analysis result. The prediction performance of the proposed method was evaluated using the actual operational data.

  • In this paper, we shows the implementation of Web based performance manager which analyze the traffic of a Web server to support the diagnostics of it. The manager monitors the HTIP traffic by polling and measures and presents is performance on demand. To enhance the adaptability of management interface Web based interfaces with JAVA is used. Recently, the need of traffic management on s Web has grown, because of increasing Web traffic. Therefore, the traffic management of Web service and the effective management of a Web server's performance are needed. We have designed interfaces with which is comprised of Collection-Request, Analysis-Request, Realtime-Monitoring, Comparison-Analysis on a client with Web Browser on a network, and implemented the server system that can analyze these requests. Also we have introduced some perfonnance indicator by referring a Web related MIB. Also, we have designed and developed a message format for communication between the Web client and the server system.

  • This paper presents a QoS-guaranteed traffic control system which supports QoS of realtime packet transmission for the multimedia communication. The traffic control system presented in this paper applies the integrated service model and provides QoS o(packet transmission by means of determining the packet transmission rate with the policy of network manager and the optimal resource allocation according to the end-to-end traffic load. It also provides QoS for the realtime packet transmission through the AWF2Q+ Scheduling algorithm and per-class queuing method.

  • In the network management system, there are two approaches; the centralized approach based on SNMP and the distributed approach based on mobile agent. Some information changes with time and the manager needs to monitor its value in real time. In such a case, the polling is generally used in SNMP because the manager can query agents periodically. However, the polling scheme needs both request and response messages for management information every time, which results in network traffic increase. In this paper, we suggest an adaptive network monitoring method to reduce the network traffic for SNMP-based network management. In the proposed strategy, each agent first decides its on monitoring period. Then, the manager collects them and approves each agent's period without modification or adjusts it based on the total traffic generated by monitoring messages. After receiving response message containing monitoring period from the manager, each agent sends management information periodically without the request of manager. To evaluate performance of the proposed method, we implemented it and compared the network traffic and monitoring quality of the proposed scheme with the general polling method.

  • In order to meet the different requirements of a wide variety of user applications, the network should support the different quality of service requirements for different applications. While 3GPP has specified a number of QoS profiles for a 3G-GPRS (or UMTS), the implementation of QoS management is an issue. This paper presents the QoS management functions in the 3G-GPRS. The QoS management involves service manager, translation function, admission/capability control, and subscription control of users, and mapping function, classification function, resource manager, and traffic conditioner of user traffic. It also describes the QoS Management procedure during the session management when setting up the bearers.

  • This Study aims to change and expand present traffic regulation from the human driver to Automated Vehicle(AV), we conducted an in-depth interview(IDI) into the traffic regulation service's strategy for an AV-related information consumer group(AVs and service developers) and a manager group (an information service management agency). The IDI results confirmed several important opinions and requirements for an information service by regulatory information manager groups (enough for AV development), such as a systematic need for dynamic regulatory information and a unified information management system. Also, we find out implications about adopting the Internet of Things (IoT) technology in traffic safety facilities to provide dynamic regulation information on the roads.

  • ITS(Intelligent Transport System) as things are used for Broadcast service using TDMB/TPEG/NAVI rather than personal seamless service. It is attaching weight to Traffic information gathering, Charging, Settlement service. This research is applied to improve DCCP(Datagram Congestion Control Protocol) which has function as protecting data and preserving message boundary. The improving method is like that we solve data trust in UDP because Connection and Transmission overhead in UDP is less than in TCP. We fix the data loss which is generated from unordered delivery section of IP base wireless service by using DCCP protocol. We guarantee of connection with OBE(On-Board Equipment) and reliance about transmission of data by complement to mapping table and multi-hoping. Finally, We evaluate the performance about transmission of IP based data. We constructed a test-bed near research center for this test.
