  • Corporate longevity is an interesting issue from a theoretical point of view. In today's uncertain economic climate, the first priority for a company is survival. The longevity of an organization is basically one of the areas that can classify the sustainability of a company. Known as the cultural heritage of Indonesia, the traditional herbal medicine industry faces challenges of longevity. The word Jamu is a generic expression for traditional herbal medicine in Indonesia. The Jamu industry as Indonesia's cultural heritage must be preserved with good support from a technical, regulatory, and commercial perspective so that Jamu companies do not go into the decline stage. Operational resilience is usually defined as the ability of an organization to adapt rapidly to changing environments. This study aims to identify the effect of operational resilience and human capital on corporate sustainable longevity through innovation performance. The questions are addressed through empirical research of 108 small companies that produce Jamu, traditional herbal medicine in Java, Indonesia. This study was conducted during July-September 2020. Data analysis is carried out with SEM-PLS using SmartPLS software version 3.0 to evaluate the data collected. The results indicated that operational resilience influences corporate sustainable longevity directly and indirectly through innovation performance. However, human capital could not play the antecedent role to corporate sustainable longevity directly or even indirectly through innovation performance. Human capital indicators require deeper exposure in the context of small industries.

  • Chinese shadow puppetry is an ancient form of drama with a long history. Known as the "mother of Chinese folk opera", it has rich cultural connotations and artistic value. At the same time, as a classic video game genre, side-scrolling games have many loyal fans around the world. However, in recent years, some previous entertainment cultures such as shadow puppetry are slowly disappearing. In contrast, video games play an increasingly important role in people's entertainment. Combining Chinese traditional culture with video games can be a great way to promote the preservation of these cultures. By making traditional culture more accessible and engaging, developers can help to ensure that these cultures continue to be enjoyed by future generations. The side-scrolling game is a classic game type, and it has many similarities with shadow puppetry. This paper will analyze the similarities and differences between Chinese shadow puppetry and horizontal version games, and try to explore how to organically integrate the two, so as to promote the inheritance and development of traditional culture, and promote cultural innovation and the development of creative industries.

  • Successful implementations of DevOps practices significantly improvise software efficiency, collaboration and security. Most of the organizations are adopting DevOps for faster and quality software delivery. DevOps brings development and operation teams together to overcome all kind of communication gaps responsible for software failures. It relies on different sets of alternative tools to automate the tasks of continuous integration, testing, delivery, deployment and monitoring. Although DevOps is followed for being very reliable and responsible environment for quality software delivery yet it lacks many quantifiable aspects to prove it on the top of other traditional and agile development methods. This research evaluates quantitative performance of DevOps and traditional/ agile development methods based on software metrics. This research includes three sample projects or code repositories to quantify the results and for DevOps integrated selective tool chain; current research considers our earlier proposed and implemented DevOps hybrid model of integrated automation tools. • A safe work environment is crucial in high-risk industries, such as construction refurbishment. Safety incidents caused by uncertainty and unexpected events in construction refurbishment systems are difficult to control using conventional safety management techniques. Resilience engineering (RE) is proposed as an alternative to traditional safety management approaches. It presents a successful safety management methodology designed to deal with uncertainty in high-risk work environments. Despite the fact that RE resides in the safety domain, there is no common set of RE indicators to measure and assess resilient in the work environment. The main aim of this research is to explore RE indicators that have been identified as important in developing and assessing the resilient work environment in high-risk industries, particularly in construction refurbishment. Indicators have been attained through a systematic literature review of research and scholarly articles published between the years 2004 and 2019. The literature review explored RE indicators in various industries. Descriptive analysis and co-occurrence-based network visualization were used for data analysis. The findings revealed 28 RE indicators in 11 different high-risk industries. The results show that the four commonly used indicators were: top-management commitment, awareness, learning, and flexibility, all of which have a strong relationship with RE. The findings of this study are useful for stakeholders when making decisions concerning the most important RE indicators in the context of their research or practice as this would avoid the ambiguity and disparity in the identification of RE indicators.

  • Traditional Industries were planning the major role for Taiwan's economy. However, we need to face the competition from developing countries. Moving manufacturing department to other low salary countries, such as China, can only temporarily release some limited pressure. The final and complete solutions are to equip on R&D, refine techniques, improve management capabilities, upgrade business, and reform physique. Currently there are some ERP systems on the market; however, they are designed for common purpose and difficult to introduce into industry. The expensive price is another factor to make them be popular. In this research we will Object Oriented, Visual Modeling, ER Model and Windows Environment to develop an Integrated Management System for Sports Requisites Industries (IMSSRI). We will integrate all information from all departments such as development, business, material administration, manufacture, shipping, and financial. When development people construct the all modules, components, cutting molds, materials and accessories, IMSSRI will calculate all needed materials and cost for each product. This cost will be used for quotation to report to our customers. When customers confirm the order, system will transfer all necessary materials into Material Administration System. IMSSRI can generate manufacturing forms and material raw lists for manufacture department. All related information such as stocking, returning goods, material requesting, and material returning can be integrated so we can control all details of the whole enterprise. Through the help of this system, we hope we can save man-power, reduce human mistakes, raise management capabilities for tradition manufacturing industries and create another possibility of eternal operating for Taiwan's Industries.

  • When the international fisheries order changes following the UN Law of the Sea, the new regional fisheries order is forming among East North Asian states and era of Economic Zones is really coming. In those changes of foreign and domestic fisheries environment, to maintain sustainable growth of the industry in 21st century the North East Asian states plot adjustments to fisheries management, such as introduction of the TAC system and others. The TAC seems to be an appropriate systematic response especially because traditional functions of fisheries management have already demonstrated their limits in regards to fisheries sustainable development. Introduction of the TAC to the North East Asian fisheries not only resolves the inability of traditional fisheries management to develop the industry consequently, but also strengthens the EEZ and existing marine management systems. However, the TAC was born by thewestern industrial mentality, still contains persistent mistakes and is difficult to change. Therefore, its introduction to and implication in North East Asian region might cause numerous problems. From this point of view, introduction of the TAC system will disregard peculiarities of North East Asian fisheries, so main efforts should be concentrated on improving the functions of existing system via consecutive step-by-step approach. In addition, the TAC should be grafted into the existing fisheries system through cooperative management system, creating stable systematic ground and considering scientific and fisheries motives. Especially, TAC system, unlike the traditional fisheries' management system, is scientific, being systematically developed one, and needs to be gradually installed, considering its systematic character. Therefore, the TAC should better be introduced by systematic and scientific approaches, paying more attention to strengthening the existing fisheries system, but not immediately and in the form it is right now. Concluding, introduction of the TAC can not be made considering the outward factors deriving from the UN Law of the Sea without corrections.'h overcome limitations and ineffectiveness of traditional fisheries, most efforts should be concentrated on basic revision of 21st centuries' fisheries and strengthening the functions of traditional fisheries aimed to develop the leading business of marine industries.

  • This study intends to describe the characteristics of the transformation of the rural society by tracing the changing social and economic processes of traditional clan villiage (Yeolmi-ri, Silchon-myeon, Kwangju-gun, Kyunggi-province) in the suburbs of Seoul Metropolitan Area. Rural society has experienced serious change of the social structure by the ever expanding urbanization and industrialization since 1960's. The suburbs of Seoul Metropolitan Area is the representative case area of such transformation. This study analyzed various chracteristics of population structure of a villiage, the processes of residential movement and the occupational shift of each household of the villiage in terms of household's life-history collected by interviewing with each household. And the whole households of a villiage is divided by two groups of the native clan group and the non-dan in-migrant group. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1) This villiage is located within a lineal distance of 40km and a time distance of about 30 to 40 minutes, adjoined dy the Joongbu(중부) national highway, the Kyungchoong (경충) industrial road, the local road between Yangpyuna(양평) and Gonjiam(곤지암) and having a advantageous iocational linkage to Seoul capital city. 2) It is a typical traditional dan villiae constituted of dan family Gu(구) one of whose ancestors had appointed to the prime minister of Chosun Dynasty, and until 1979, 56 out of 60 families of the villiage households were clan families. 3) Since 1979, as the villiage invaded by the out-movement of the small scale manufacturing industries from Seoul capital city, labours moved in this vallige from outside and increased villiage size up to 203 households in 1993, consequently the constitutional proportion between the native clan group and the non-clan in-migrant group was reversed up to 28% vs 72% deepening the sociological heterogeneity. 4) Because of the small scale of industries in this villiage and the vicinity with the city of Seoul, the population turnover of this villiage is very high. The turnover frequency is firstly high within same administrative district of gun(군) level and secondly high between this villiage and the city of Seoul. Thus short-distance movement is identified. 5) There is a close correlation between the residential movement and the occupational shift. The most numbers of non-farm native group have the experiences of migration while the members of native farming group don't shift both the job and the place of residence. The inmigrant group had several migration experiences but few occupational shifts. Thus occupatioanl shift is high for the native group while residential shift is high for the in-migrant group. It is concluded that the change proceeded in Metropolitan suburbs was not directed to form the traditional rural village as 'gesund Gebiet' with respect to the ballance among the economic, cultural and environmental adequency.
