ARCS 전략을 적용한 STS 수업이 초등학교 5학년 학생들의 학습 동기와 과학적 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of STS Instruction Using ARCS Strategies on 5th Graders Learning Motivation and Scientific Attitude)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 ARCS(Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction) 전략을 적용한 STS(Science, Technology and Society) 수업이 초등학교 5학년 학생들의 학습 동기와 과학적 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 53명의 초등학교 5학년 학생들을 표집하여 실험반과 통제반으로 구분하였다. 그리고 4주 동안 실험반에는 ARCS 전략을 적용한 STS 수업을 처치하였고, 통제반에는 전통적인 수업을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 ARCS 전략을 적용한 STS수업이 전통적인 수업보다 초등학교 5학년 학생들의 학습 동기와 과학적 태도 향상에 효과적이었음을 보여주었다.

표준화 환자를 활용한 모성간호학 실습 학습방법 효과 분석 (Evaluation of the Standardized Patients(SP) Managed Instruction for a Clinical Maternity Nursing Course)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the learning effect of a standardized patient managed instruction program for a clinical maternity nursing course. Methods: The SP managed instruction was made for clinical cases in intrapartum and postpartum nursing care. The SP managed instruction was evaluated by using a quasi-experimental, nonequivalent control group post-test design with separate classes of students attending clinical maternity nursing classes at a nursing school in Incheon. Control groups were taught by traditional lecture/model method and experimental groups were taught by SP managed instruction. Data was collected from September 2009 to February 2010. Results: 1. There was no significant difference between the experimental group and control group in identifying relevant data (z=-1.418, p=.156) and necessary nursing skills performance (z=-.643, p=.520) for intrapartum nursing care. In addition, there was no significant difference between the two groups in identifying relevant data (z=-.264, p=.782) and necessary nursing skill (z=-.342, p=.732) for postpartum nursing care. 2. In clinical nursing skill performances the total score was statistically significantly higher in the experimental group than the control group (intrapartum care z=-4.181, p=.000, postpartum care z=-4.279, p=.000). 3. There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups (intrapartum care z=-3.731, p=.000, postpartum care z=-4.066, p=.000). Conclusion: In conclusion, the SP methodis effective in teaching clinical maternity nursing for student nurses and it is necessary to develop SP instruction courses for many areas in the clinical nursing education field.

과학적 가설의 생성력 향상을 위한 삼원귀추모형의 적용 (Application of the Triple Abduction Model for Improving the Skills of Scientific Hypothesis Generation)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 과학학습에서 가설 생성력 향상에 미치는 삼원귀추모형(TAM)의 적용 효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 TAM의 가설 생성 절차에 따른 가설 생성 활동 10개와 전통적인 방법에 따른 가설생성활동 10개를 개발하여 각각26명의 고등학생으로 구성된 TAM 집단과 27명의 전통 집단에 투입하였다. 가설 생성 활동 10개가 투입되는 과정에서 4개의 활동에서 학생들이 생성한 최종 가설의 설명도를 평가하였다. 또한 가설 생성력의 향상 정도를 검증하기 위해서 과학 지식 생성력 검사 A형과 B형을 사전과 사후에 각각 투입하여 연구 대상 학생들의 가설 생성력을 검사하였다. 연구 결과 TAM 집단이 생성한 가설의 설명도가 전통 집단의 가설보다 통계적으로 의미 있는 수준에서 높았다. 가설 생성력 검사에서는 TAM 집단과 전통 집단의 검사 점수가 사전 검사에서는 통계적으로 유의미한 수준에서 차이가 없었으나 사후에는 TAM집단이 의미 있게 높았다. 따라서 TAM을 적용한 가설 생성 활동은 전통적인 방법보다 가설 생성력 향상에 효과적이라고 할 수 있다.

초등학교 과학수업에서 AR 콘텐츠 활용이 학습 활동에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Learning Activities on the Application of Augmented Reality Contents in Elementary Science Instruction)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 과학수업에서 AR 콘텐츠 활용이 학습 활동에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 AR 콘텐츠 적용집단과 전통적 집단과의 차이를 비교하였다. 이를 위해 학습 활동의 하위요소로 학습집중도, 학습활동 소요변인, 학습참여의 능동성, 수업분위기의 네 영역에서의 효과를 검증하였다. 그 결과, 학습집중도는 AR과 전통적 집단간에 의미있는 차이가 발생하지 않은 반면 학습참여의 능동성은 행동적인 능동성 요소에 있어서 AR 적용 집단이 높았고 언어적 능동성은 집단 간 차이가 발생하지 않았다. 학습활동 소요변인 측면에서는 AR 집단이 전통적 집단보다 학습자의 다양한 학습활동을 촉진하였다. 수업분위기 측면에서는 AR 콘텐츠 활용수업이 전통적 수업에 비해 수업분위기를 긍정적으로 조장하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 AR 콘텐츠를 과학과 수업에 적용하면 교수 학습과정에서 학습자의 행동을 능동적으로 촉진하고, 다양한 학습활동을 촉진하며 수업 분위기를 긍정적으로 조장할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

시각적 노트 작성 활용이 초등학생의 창의력과 과학과 학업성취도에 미치는 효과 (The Efface of Visual Note Making for Creativity and Science Achievement in Elementary Science Class)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of visual note making method on creativity and science achievement of elementary school students. This study was conducted for the 17 periods of the first semester of the 4th grade students. Seventy nine students were assigned to experimental group and control group. The experimental group was taught through visual note making methods, and the control group was taught by the traditional manner. On the basis of the test of verbal-spatial from NASSP, the subjects were classified to visual-, visual verbal-, verbal preference groups. After this methods had been applied, students of both groups took tests of creativity and science achievement. The results of this study were as follows: 1. In order to investigate the effects of visual note making on creativity and science achievement of the students, students' creativity and science achievement were analyzed by t-test. The experimental group showed significantly higher scores on both of creativity and science achievement than control group. 2. Visual preference group showed significantly higher score on creativity than visualㆍverbal-, and verbal preference group (p<.01), but not significant on science achievement. In conclusion, the instruction applying the visual note making methods was more effective in nurturing student's creativity and science achievement than the traditional instruction.

특성화고의 태양광 추적 제어 시스템 개발 프로젝트법이 학습자의 과제 수행 능력에 미치는 효과 (The Effect on Task Performance Ability of Project Method to Develop Solar Tracking Control System in Specialized High School)

  • The purpose of this study was to verity the effect of project method on the task performance ability in development of a solar-tracking-control-system of specialized high school. In order to carry out this study, 2 classes of technical high school in Jeonbuk are chosen as experimental and control groups. The experimental group was taught by project method and the control group was taught by traditional instruction. Project method was designed by 4 stages-selection of goal, planning, implementation and evaluation. According to these stages, experimental group's students carried out the project that developing solar tracking control system in solar generation. The results of this study are as follows; the project method was more effective than the traditional instruction in planning ability for task performance and implementation ability, subordinates of task performance ability. However, information gathering ability and evaluation ability on task performance, others in subordinates, it is not clear that the project method is more effective.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of science teaching using ARCS strategies on elementary pupils' teaming motivation and academic achievement. For this purpose, 67 children of 2 classes in the 5th grade of an elementary school were involved, and each class was assigned to experimental and comparison group. The experimental group, consisting of 33 children, were applied with the teaching method using ARCS strategies, while the comparison group, 34 children, were applied with traditional-type teaching method. The instruction effects were analyzed through pre/post-test's results using the questionnaires of loaming motivation and academic achievement. The results of this study are summarized as follows. After science lessons, it was found that the teaching method using ARCS strategies was more effective in improving learners' motives of teaming science and academic achievements than traditional instructions. And the instruction using ARCS strategies was effective to the children who were in low and middle level in academic achievement compared to those in high level.

음성지시에 따른 전통적 심폐소생술과 가슴압박소생술시 흉부압박 정확도와 피로도 비교 (A comparative study on accuracy and fatigue in hands-only CPR and traditional CPR by voice instruction)

  • Purpose : The purpose of the present study is to analyze the accuracy and fatigue felt by lay persons receiving CPR training when they perform hands only CPR (HOCPR) and traditional CPR (TCPR). The performance of CPR data will provide the criteria of dispatcher guidelines for the general public. Methods : For 2 minutes duration, HOCPR was conducted by 51 subjects and TCPR was conducted by 48 subjects. The accuracy measurement of chest compressions was based on the 2010 AHA guideline; the subjective fatigue level in before and after experiment was measured by a self-administered questionnaire. Results : There were no significant differences between the average depth, chest compression depth and chest compression location in terms of chest compression accuracy. However, there were significant differences between the two experimental groups in the accuracies for average speed and chest compression speed. The subjective fatigue level showed no significant difference. Conclusion : The experimental group performing HOCPR showed more accurate compression speed and lower fatigue level. These results suggested that HOCPR would be more effective in training the lay persons in accordance with the voice-instructed CPR.

초등학교 자연 수업에서 학생 중심의 활동을 강조한 협동학습의 교수 효과 (The Instructional Effects of Student-Centered Cooperative Learning Strategies in Elementary School Science Course)

  • 일반적으로 협동학습이 학업 성취에 효과적이라고 보고되지만, 과학 실험 수업에서의 학업 성취 및 상위 수준 학생에 대한 효과는 일관되지 않다. 본 연구에서는 실험 수업에서 필요한 고급 사고 수준의 활동이 포함된 과제를 소집단 활동 중심으로 해결하도록 한 협동학습을 초등학교 자연 수업에 적용하여 그 효과률 조사하였다.5학년의 '용해와 용액' 단원 총 16차시에 대하여 전통적 수업과 협동학습을 실시한 후 학업 성취도, 탐구 사고력, 자연 수업에 대한 태도, 수업 환경에 대한 인식등을 비교하였다. 이원 공변량 분석 결과, 협동학습 집단의 학업 성취도와 탐구 사고력이 전통적 수업 집단에 비하여 유의미하게 높았으며, 수업 처치와 성취 수준 사이의 상호작용은 나타나지 않았다. 수업 환경에 대환 인식 중 마찰도에 대한 인식은 협동학습 집단이 높았으며, 자연 수업에 대한 태도와 참여도에 대한 인식에는 두 집단사이에 차이가 없었다.
