중국(中國) 호무복식(胡舞服飾)에 관한 연구 - 한대(漢代)부터 수당대(隋唐代)를 중심으로 - (Research of the Foreign Dancing Costumes - From Han to Sui Tang Dynasty -)

  • Culture speaks for the characters of the period, so it is presented by the mutual actions of many factors affecting culture. Foreign culture, introduced by cultural exchange, was modified and accepted into a new form and value system. In the beginning, only foreigners danced these dances, but Chinese started to dance them gradually. Thus, the dancing costume showed the complete fusion of Chinese and exotic styles. Especially, in the Tang dynasty, Chinese accepted foreign culture very actively and with open hearts. They accepted foreign culture based on their traditional culture, and fused them completely. In these costumes, not one culture was prominent, but many cultures from Gandhara to East and West Turkistan and even to Persian and Hellenism were synthesized together. Chinese, in the Tang dynasty, retained on their traditional culture and modified new foreign culture into Chinese style.

한국 불교 영산재 -무복에 관한 연구- (A Study on the Dancing Costumes for the Buddhist Ceremony of 'Spirit Vulture Peak')

  • The Buddhist costumes, unlike the ordinary ones, have not been studied comprehensively due to their religious, non-popular and non-social features. In this regard, this paper aimed at reviewing the styles and symbolic Characters of the monks' dancing costumes for the traditional Buddhist ceremony of 'Spirit Vulture Peak'(The Intangible Cultural Asset No.50.) Here, the 'Spirit Vulture Peak Ceremony' is a kind of Buddhist ceremony commemorating the Buddha's preaches on the peak of Mt. Grdhrakuta by means of symbolized ritual and reformation procedures. The methodology of this study depended on the research of literatures, personal observation of the actual ceremony and the discussion with Priest Park Song-am. The dancing style of the Ceremony can be divided into four categories; the cymbal dancing., the drum dancing , the butterfly dancing and the column-beating dancing. And for the dancing costumes, the loose ritual mantle, the long-sleeve robe and the buddhist costume are used; the loose mantle and the long-sleeve robe are for the drum dancing. The style of the loose mantle is rectangular, sewn every odd knot between 5 and 25 ones. According to the record, its color was initially grey or red-yellow, but varied depending on the local rules. The four corners of the loose mantle have a rectangular-cloth embroidery of sky & king patterns, and the center is embroidered with the Sun'Moon designs or 'Om/Nan' letters in the Korean spells. The light of Sun/ Moon designs symbolizing the sky and the earth respectively are indigenous to a particular school in Korea. The long-sleeve robe has a traditional over-coat style. and is called otherwise of if some design is added. The total clothing or dancing costumes for the Ceremony include 'the Dae-ryung (meaning great peake)loose mantle', 'the White Paldad(meaning Chinese Character eight) long-sleeve robe and the peaked hat. The Dae-ryung mantle is a kind of ritual costumes with the shorter length than the ordinary mantles, and has a character 'Ryung' in Chinese spell attached with three to six colors. The White Paldae robe is shorter than the ordinary robes in the total length but longer in the length of sleeves. It is put on over the mantle from the left shoulder, and used often for the butterfly and column-beating dancings. It is hoped that this study will promote the study on the customs and rites of the Buddhism rather than on the thoughts, and contribute to the further studies.

궁중무용복식에 관한 연구(제2보)-고려시대 발생된 무용을 중심으로- (A Study on the Ritual Dancing Suit of Koryo Dynasty)

  • This thesis focuses on how the dancing suit frequently used in the Korean royal court has been chronologically changed to that of the modern times. It also aims at how the implicit symbols shown in the royal court dancing suit are related to the traditional concepts and thoughts on Lunar-Solar-Five-Natural-Elements(Eum-Yang-Oh-Haeng). The results of this thesis are as follows. In the historical period of Koryo dynasty, the Buddhists religional ceremonies of YeonDueng-Hoi and PalGwan-Hoi favoured a ritual dancing of DangAakJeongJae originated from the old ancient China, and at the same time it also employed HyangAakJeongJae of Sin-la dynasty. Especially, the DangAakJeongJae contained the kinds of SooSeon-Dyo, Soo-YeonJang, PoTae-Aak, OhYa-ng-Seon, and YeonHwaDae-Mu; and the Hyang-AakJeongJae dealt with Moo-Go and Aa-Bak.

현대 패션에 나타난 정중동(靜中動)의 표현 연구 (A Study on the Jeong-Jung-Dong [Movement in Silence] Expression Contemporary Design)

  • This is the precedent study on the modern fashion design using Korean emotions, and its aim is to study the expressions in the modern fashion based on 'Jeong-Jung-Dong' idea from Korean dancing, which implicates the Korean emotion deeply among the artworks and give essence similar to the clothing. 'Jeong-Jung-Dong', a unique idea, in the Korean traditional dancing is the philosophy that involve the paradox expression, 'Movement in Silence,' which represented the emotion of Korean dancing for a long time. The main characteristics deducted in 'Jeong-Jung-Dong' were 1) the incomplete and complete by atypical, 2) the beauty of temperance by symbolism, and 3) amusing mutual relationship. Upon the analysis results of previous studies on the expressions in the modern fashion with 'Jeong-Jung-Dong', they demonstrated the atypical expressed by metaphor, symbolic expression through margin, and mutual relational table by harmony. The analysis of modern fashion expression by 'Jeong-Jung-Dong', which is a philosophical idea in the Korean dancing, could highlight the new way of looking at the clothing and systemize the theory on the Korean emotion to seek the effective expression of artistic features for the culture together with introduction of our unique emotion in the creative design process by understanding of humanitarian and philosophical ideologies to be utilized in the future Fashion Design.

전통춤프로그램이 가정위탁아동의 대인관계향상에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Traditional Dance Program on the Improvement of Interpersonal Relationships of Foster Care Children)

  • 가정위탁제도는 일반적으로 친부모로부터 적절한 보호와 보살핌을 받을 수 없는 아동이 위탁가정에서 친부모를 대신하여 규정된 시간 안에 계획 하에 구성된 필요한 보호를 받으면서 가정의 기능을 보완하는 사회복지서비스이다. 위탁보호아동들이 겪게 되는 정서적 어려움 중 큰 부분은 대인관계 부적응이다. 긍정적이지 못한 대인관계로 인해 낮은 자아존중감이 나타나며, 사회적 관계형성에 어려움을 겪게 된다. 따라서 본 연구는 대전광역시에 거주하는 위탁아동들을 대상으로 전통춤 프로그램을 통해 가정위탁아동의 대인관계를 향상 시키며 이를 통한 대인관계 효과를 검증하여 전통춤프로그램이 대인관계프로그램으로 활용될 수 있는 기초자료를 마련하는데 목적이 있다. 전통춤프로그램을 통해 참여 아동들의 대인관계에 대한 사전 점수와 사후 점수를 비교해 본 결과, 프로그램 후 대인관계 점수가 상승하였다. 아동간의 친밀감 형성 및 의사소통 등이 향상됨을 볼 수 있었다. 참가자들은 초기에는 프로그램에 적극성이 떨어졌으나 프로그램 중반으로 갈수록 흥미를 느끼고 적극적인 모습이 자주 관찰 되었다. 대부분의 참여자들이 프로그램 중반부로 갈수록 친밀감이 형성되면서 의사소통 횟수가 증가 하였으며, 또래 관계에 있어서 자신감이 향상 되는 모습을 보였다. 본 연구는 전통춤을 활용한 대인관계 향상에 대한 기초연구로 추후연구에서는 다양한 내용으로 구성된 전통춤프로그램을 장기간에 걸쳐 적용함으로서 가정위탁아동의 정서적, 사회적, 문화적 등 다양한 영역에서의 대인관계능력이 향상 될 수 있는 기회가 되도록 해야 할 것이다.

율동적 동작(Dance movement) 훈련이 노년기 여성의 생리, 심리적 변수에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Korean Traditional Dance Movement Training on Psychophysiological Variables in Korean Elderly Women)

  • Regular long term dance movement could be one of ways to induce improvement of psychophysiological variables, resulting in improvement of quality of life. However, there have been few studies to evaluate the effect of dance movement training on both physiological and psychological variables in the elderly. This study was focused to determine the effect of Korean traditional dance movement training on psychophysiological variables-body weight, body fat, lean body mass, muscle strength, muscle endurance, flexibility, agility, resting heart rate and blood pressure, depression and life satisfaction-in Korean elderly women. Thirty four subjects, aged between 65 and 75years who have normal cognition, sensory function, cerebellum function, cardiovascular function, participated in this study. Seventeen experimental group subjects were selected from E-elderly university in Kyung Gi province, and Seventeen control group subjects were selected from N-welfare facility in Seoul City. Seventeen experimental group subjects participated for 12weeks dance movement program. Korean traditional dance movement program was developed on the basis of Korean traditional dance and music by the author. The program consisted of approximately 50minutes of dance, 3times a week for 12weeks. During 50minutes workout, there were 15minutes of warm-up dancing, 25minutes of conditioning dance and 10minutes of cool-down dancing. The intensity for the conditioning phase was at between 60% and 65% of age-adjusted maximum heart rates. The body weight, body fat, lean body mass, muscle strength(grip strength, leg strength), muscle endurance, flexibility, agility, resting heart rate and blood pressure, depression and life satis-faction were measured prior to and following the experimental treatment. The participants in dance movement were interviewed focusing on subjective feeling following 12 week's regular dance movement. Data were analyzed with mean, standard deviation, percentage of change, X²-test, t-test, and ANCOVA test using SPSS PC/sup +/ program. Subjective feeling was categorized into cognitopsy-chological and physiological responses. Results were obtained as follows : 1) The body weight (F=15.52, p=.000), body fat (F=18.33, p=.000) and lean body mass (F=7.28, p=.011) of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group following the dance movement training. 2) The leg strength (F=30.96, p=.000), muscle endurance (F=9.06, p=.005), agility(F=44.92, 000), flexibility(F=6.84, p=.014) of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group following the dance movement training. There was no significant difference of grip strength(F=.43, p=.515) between experimental and control groups. 3) The heart rate(F=26.96, p=.000), systolic (F=10.40, p=.000) and diastolic(F=3.99, p=.005) blood pressure at rest of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group following the dance movement training. 4) No significant difference of score of depression (F=3.49, p=.071) was observed between experimental and control groups. 5) Score of life satisfaction of experimental group was remarkably higher than that of control group following 12weeks of dance movement training (p<0.05). 6) Thematic responses about the dance movement following the training were positive. "I feel good" was the most frequent among cognitopsychological responses and "I feel lightness of body" was the most frequent among physiological responses. The results suggest that Korean traditional dance movement training can improve psychophysiological variables of Korean elderly.

호남춤의 예맥(藝脈), 전통춤의 전승에 관한 논의 - 한진옥과 이매방을 통해서 (Study on the Legacy of Traditional Honam Choreography - Via Han Jin-ok and Lee Mae-bang)

  • 본 연구는 호남춤의 양맥이라 불리우는 명무 이매방과 한진옥을 통해 호남춤의 정통성과 성향을 알아본 후, 춤의 원형성과 호남춤으로서의 명맥, 그리고 전승과 창조적인 발전을 지역적 특수성과 함께 연관해 본 것이다. 이러한 전승에 관한 논의는 전통춤의 계승차원에서 원개념('승무'라는 본질적 의미)에 대한 맥락에서, 다양한 예술형태로서 독자성을 부여받게 되는 전통춤의 다개념적 성향을 살펴보고 있다. 호남의 문화적 성향에도 불구하고 이매방과 한진옥 춤이 여성성과 남성성에 있어 대조적인 춤사위를 보이고 있다는 것은, 다소 같은 원개념의 춤의 본질과 호남이라는 지역적 특수성로부터 다른 시각에서 각색되어 있는 춤의 세계를 의미한다. 전통춤의 전승과정에서 이 같은 변형이 가져다 준 상황과 독자적인 문화권에서의 전승된 경로를 통해 전통춤 전승의 특수성을 재고해보고 있는 것이다. 또한 그들의 독자적인 예술세계를 재조명해보는 것은 원형성과 다변성의 전통전승의 미의식과 다양한 소통적 개념으로서 로컬리즘localism의 중요성을 함께 논의하기 위함이다. 결국 호남류의 원형성을 탐구해본 결과 문화적 차원에서 로컬리즘의 차이와 소통은 매우 중요한 원소스가 되는 것이 분명하다.

한국 탈의 조형미(造形美)를 활용한 호텔 유니폼 디자인 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Hotel Uniform Design Applying Visual Image of the Traditional Korean Mask)

  • Among korean traditional culture, TalChum(mask dance) which bears our unique cultural emotion, is about wearing a Tal(korean mask) and dancing, which express our ethnic feeling. The ethnic feeling was expressed into silhouette of hotel uniform which sightseers at home and abroad most frequently visit. This would be the best and the fastest way to show and deliver ethinic feeling of Korea. Fashion design of an uniform would be the best way to express group's unification and attachment. The purpose of this study was to design uniforms, in order to satisfy the property of function, aesthetic points, symbolism to inhere and to differentiate the group from others by using plastic and creative design. This study was meant to induce people to get near to characteristic of Korean culture, using hotel uniform design. Mask's plastic beauty of characteristic Chosun dynasty and express vividly Tal's image with Korean traditional reality was applied on hotel uniform design. By doing so, visitors can come back to the hotel with longtime memory of Korea. The characteristics and the humorous symbolism of Tal were designed and applied to uniform design on collar, bodice, pocket, and sleeves.

한국전통춤에서 동물모방의 문화기호학적 표상에 관한 연구 (A study on the cultural symbolic representation of animal imitation in Korean traditional dance)

  • 본 연구는 전통춤에 나타난 대표적인 동물을 나열하여 그것이 상징하는 문화기호학적 표상에 관해 연구함으로써 한국인의 동물숭배사상과 삶의 철학을 의미화하고 한국전통예술의 정체성을 논의해 보았다. 이는 한국 문화와 예술에 관한 근원을 묻고 동물모방의 표상에 대해 문화고유의 철학적 사유를 공감하기 위함이다. 이에 한국의 동물 모방춤은 단순한 문화적 코드를 넘어서 춤에 투영되는 있는 한국인의 예술적 가치인식을 엿볼 수 있었다. 즉 주술과 성적인 은유 뿐 아니라 자연친화적 삶을 통한 순응적 태도와 현실에서의 윤리적 실천을 우선으로 예술적 미의식이 고취됨을 알 수 있었다.

직업무용단체 정기공연의 주제경향 분석 (Analyze Theme Trend for Subscription Performance of Professional Dance Groups)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라의 무용단 중 한국무용을 대표할 수 있는 국립무용단, 서울시무용단, 경기도립무용단의 정기공연작품의 주제경향 분석을 통해 무용이 사회와 어떠한 관계를 지녔는지 작품의 주제경향으로 시대별 사회의 흐름을 유추하여 무용과 사회의 구조관계를 조사하고, 무용작품의 주제에 대한 의미를 각인시켜 후속연구에 기반을 제공함에 연구의 목적이 있다. 이 연구의 목적을 수행하기 위하여 선행연구 및 관련서적을 참고한 문헌조사를 중심으로 국립무용단, 서울시무용단, 경기도립무용단 세 무용단으로 선정하여 각 무용단의 창단부터 현재까지의 정기공연을 팜플렛, 신문기사, 무용단의 공연자료 및 관련된 선행논문을 통해 정기공연의 주제를 조사하였다. 자료분석은 주제경향 선행논문에서 공통적으로 사용된 김병석의 분류방법에 따라 무용단의 창단부터 현재까지 공연된 정기공연 내용과 주제를 중심으로 1) 전통의식적 주제, 2) 문학적인 주제, 3) 역사적인 주제, 4) 추상적인 주제, 5) 현실적인 주제, 6) 사회적인 주제로 분류하였다.
