  • Multi-target tracking system is defined as tracking several targets simultaneously. Kalman filter is widely used for target tracking problems. Kalman filter is known to be extremely useful as an optimal estimator but has a shortcoming of computational complexity. So a simplified estimator model which had less computational burden is proposed for a real-time implementation of multi-target tracking systems. In this paper, Kalman filter is applied to implement a real-time tracking system with a simplified target model. The proposed Kalman filter model is simpler compared with those of conventional ones, greatly reducing computation time, yet keeping the tracking abilities of the optimal Kalman filter. Through both simulations and experiments with real environments, it is demonstrated that the proposed simplified model works good in real situation with multiple to be tracked.

  • An effect ive filter algorithm that can manage radar beam pointing efficiently is needed to track multi-target in the air. For effective beam management the filter has lobe good enough to predict future position of target and based on this filter output radar beam is control led to point toward the predicted target position in the air. In this paper, we investigate the ${\alpha}$-${\beta}$ filter known for its brief filter structure with the steady-state Kalman filter gain, the ruv filter, and the coordinate-transformed filter that can decouple the measurement noise variance.

  • This paper propose a realtime tracking algorithm of mobile object in indoor environment. this proposed system selects location data closer to mobile objects in real time that are results of Triangulation method and DCM(Database Correlation Method)method. Also, this system applies adjusted location data selected by using Kalman filter, and in result it improved location accuracy of transfer object. Be studied in existing the Kalman filter have unstable location data until its settlement because of it extracts current values by using the past the information. However, proposed location tracking system don't apply existent Kalman filter to this system and it permits precisional tracking location by uses more effective methods.

  • Multi-Object trajectory modeling is a major challenge in MOT. CenterTrack tried to solve this problem with a Heatmap-based method that tracks the object center position. However, it showed limited performance when tracking objects with complex movements and nonlinearities. Considering the degradation factor of CenterTrack as the dynamic movement of pedestrians, we integrated the EKF into CenterTrack. To demonstrate the superiority of our proposed method, we applied the existing KF and UKF to CenterTrack and compared and evaluated it on various datasets. The experimental results confirmed that when EKF was integrated into CenterTrack, it achieved 73.7% MOTA, making it the most suitable filter for CenterTrack.

  • Multiple target tracking mainly focuses on tracking unknown number of targets in the complex environment of clutter and missed detection. The generalized labeled multi-Bernoulli (GLMB) filter has been shown to be an effective approach and attracted extensive attention. However, in the scenarios where the clutter rate is high or measurement-outliers often occur, the performance of the GLMB filter will significantly decline due to the Gaussian-based likelihood function is sensitive to clutter. To solve this problem, this paper presents a robust GLMB filter and smoother to improve the tracking performance in the scenarios with high clutter rate, low detection probability, and measurement-outliers. Firstly, a Student-T distribution variational Bayesian (TDVB) filtering technology is employed to update targets' states. Then, The likelihood weight in the tracking process is deduced again. Finally, a trajectory smoothing method is proposed to improve the integrative tracking performance. The proposed method are compared with recent multiple target tracking filters, and the simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively improve tracking accuracy in the scenarios with high clutter rate, low detection rate and measurement-outliers. • In this paper, we propose a novel quadratic Kalman filter based object tracking algorithm using moving pictures. Quadratic Kalman filter, which is introduced recently, has not yet been applied to the problem of 3-dimensional (3-D) object tracking. Since the mapping of a position in 2-D moving pictures into a 3-D world involves non-linear transformation, appropriate algorithm must be chosen for object tracking. In this situation, the quadratic Kalman filter can achieve better accuracy than extended Kalman filter. Under the same conditions, we compare extended Kalman filter, unscented Kalman filter and sequential importance resampling particle filter together with the proposed scheme. In conculsion, the proposed scheme decreases the divergence rate by half compared with the scheme based on extended Kalman filter and improves the accuracy by about 1% in comparison with the one based on unscented Kalman filter.

  • This paper proposes a federated Kalman filter approach which utilizes information from multiple sensors and variable estimation model. Compared with the decentralized Kalman filter, the algorithm proposed in this paper demonstrates much better tracking performance in both maneuvering and constant velocity movement of the target.

  • This paper presents an approach to leak detection and location of gas pipelines based on a strong tracking filter(STF). The STF has strong robustness against model uncertainties, which will deteriorate the performance of the extended Kalman filter. Hence, much faster and more accurate leak detection and location has been obtained. Computer simulation results demonstrate the effective-ness of the proposed approach.

  • A new approach to the maneuvering target tracking problem is proposed. Its basic concept is to take the maneuver variable from the measurements. Tracking scheme based on the Kalman filter estimates the maneuver varieble from the residual and uses the estimates to update the Kalman filter. The estimation process is independent of target types and a model of the maneuver characteristics. All the filtering algorithms are processed in polor coordinate. Simulation results are presented and compared to that of the extended Kalman filter.
