  • The railroad is a means of large transportation which has many talents such as a safety and a regularity. That is a results from various confidential performance tests and evaluations of the system. The railroad system consist of various subsystems - vehicle, power supply, signal, communications, track structures, operations, etc. Among them, as an item of safety evaluation there is a measurement of wheel/rail force, so called a measurement of derailment coefficient. This is a very important item because a derailment of a train will bring about a big accident. Especially it is more inportant in high speed rail of which operation speed is over two times as fast as existing rail. In this paper, it is introduced to preprocess the wheelset for measuring wheel/rail force of high speed rail, such as to treat a measuring wheelset, its finite element analysis, adhesion of strain gauges and static load test.

Measurement and Analysis of Current Collection Signals in Korean High-speed Railway

  • A data acquisition and processing system for measuring the current collection signals of the Korean High-speed Railway is developed. The current collection system is composed of a pantograph and the overhead catenary that supplies electrical power to the train through the pantograph. The system simultaneously measures the signals generated at the interface between the catenary and the pantograph through the accelerometers, load cells and strain gauges placed at various locations. The on-track test data are processed to evaluate the current collection reliability. The fiequency analysis of the signals reveals the presence of several structural vibration modes in the pantograph, as well as the components arising from the periodicity in the structure of the catenary and pantograph at the interface. The feasibility of predicting the contact performance from the measured signals is also demonstrated.

  • Noise and vibration induced by subway operation is one of the major problem for the residents living nearby railway tracks. Many scientists and engineers have been working on the more accurate prediction of noise and vibration to provide the better residential environment. Some prediction equations were determined to compare the measurement value of a noise obtained from the inside of a residential area. It was observed that the condition of a soil type is one of the major parameter which should be considered to obtain the more accurate prediction value of a noise.

Dual Detection-Guided Newborn Target Intensity Based on Probability Hypothesis Density for Multiple Target Tracking

  • The Probability Hypothesis Density (PHD) filter is a suboptimal approximation and tractable alternative to the multi-target Bayesian filter based on random finite sets. However, the PHD filter fails to track newborn targets when the target birth intensity is unknown prior to tracking. In this paper, a dual detection-guided newborn target intensity PHD algorithm is developed to solve the problem, where two schemes, namely, a newborn target intensity estimation scheme and improved measurement-driven scheme, are proposed. First, the newborn target intensity estimation scheme, consisting of the Dirichlet distribution with the negative exponent parameter and target velocity feature, is used to recursively estimate the target birth intensity. Then, an improved measurement-driven scheme is introduced to reduce the errors of the estimated number of targets and computational load. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can achieve good performance in terms of target states, target number and computational load when the newborn target intensity is not predefined in multi-target tracking systems.

  • The main purpose of this study is to analysis of urban MAGLEV vehicle for the Incheon International Airport Maglev railway, in the process of construction at the moment, in Korea. For analysis of urban MAGLEV, we have measurement power a special quality of MAGLEV operating the center science museum in Deajeon. 1) The power property related to urban MAGLEV vehicle demand on the Incheon International Airport Maglev railway track and substation capacity compared to the result given. 2) The optimum design of substation is determined based on the analysis. 3) The equipments of substation are determined based on the analysis. The result of measurement performance, therefore, enables us to reflect the good property, to the power supply design. The result of research performance, therefore, enables us to reflect the Power Supply System design for the stabilized and economized MAGLEV operation.

High-Frequency Equivalent Circuit Model for Differential Mode Noise Analysis of DC-DC Buck Converter (DC-DC 벅 컨버터의 차동모드 노이즈 분석을 위한 고주파 등가회로 모델)

  • In this paper, we proposed a high frequency equivalent circuit considering parasitic impedance components for differential noise analysis on the input stage during DC-DC buck converter switching operation. Based on the proposed equivalent circuit model, we presented a method to measure parasitic impedance parameters included in DC bus plate, IGBT, and PCB track using the gain phase method of a network analyzer. In order to verify the validity of this model, a DC-DC prototype consisting of a buck converter, a signal analyzer, and a LISN device, and then resonance frequency was measured in the frequency range between 150 kHz and 30 MHz. The validity of the parasitic impedance measurement method and the proposed equivalent model is verified by deriving that the measured resonance frequency and the resonance frequency of the proposed high frequency equivalent model are the same.

  • This paper proposes a new model for harmonic analysis in 2${\times}$25㎸ traction power supply system including inverted feeder, contact line, rails and auto-transformer. The system model is based on four-port representation which is an extension of two-port network theory. In order to verify the proposed approach, we have analysed and tested real traction power feeding system focused on the amplification of harmonic current. The calculation results front tile proposed approach and the measurement data from the test are widely described in the paper.

  • Railway construction in the random vibration natural phenomena, as well as a relatively regular train loads for dynamic loads, such as a usability and safety should be ensured. Vibration due to train loads and seismic vibrations caused by wind compared to the typically very small in size, rather than the safety of the structure affects the usability. Recently in the downtown area, ground and underground facilities, such as a permanent facility that may cause excessive vibration increases, associated with the construction of these transportation facilities on ground vibrations of structures has been increasing concern and complaint. More recently, high-speed train vibration and noise due to furnace is increasing. In order to solve this problem, such as soundproof considering several feet, but by applying the vibration and noise reduction measures insufficient for the study is Free. In this study, track structure, track, and the inside of the building to support the system, the different forms of neurological history and share about the history cheonanahsan high-speed rail, if passed by the bus stop on the train loads of noise, and the history of interior noise and vibration measurement / analysis of measurement results to assess the relative comparison with the relevant provisions were reviewed. Based on this history, future plans for the design of the bridge to reflect the results of a study is intended to provide information. Waiting for the analysis of vibration and noise reduction, cheonanahsan history passed quietly in the train, on average, appeared to 67.53dB and 65.41dB nervous week on average, were measured with the history.
