A Study on Ceiling Light and Guided Line based Moving Detection Estimation Algorithm using Multi-Camera in Factory

  • In order to ensure the flow of goods available and more flexible, reduce labor costs, many factories and industrial zones around the world are gradually moving to use automated solutions. One of them is to use Automated guided vehicles (AGV). Currently, there are a line tracing method as an AGV operating method, and a method of estimating the current position of the AGV and matching with a factory map and knowing the moving direction of the AGV. In this paper, we propose ceiling Light and guided line based moving direction estimation algorithm using multi-camera on the AGV in smart factory that can operate stable AGV by compensating the disadvantages of existing AGV operation method. The proposed algorithm is able to estimate its position and direction using a general - purpose camera instead of a sensor. Based on this, it can correct its movement error and estimate its own movement path.

Feature Based Tool Path Planning and Modification for STEP-NC (STEP-NC의 피쳐 기반 공구경로 생성 및 갱신)

  • An increasing attention is paid to STEP-NC, the next generation CNC controller interfacing STEP-compatible data. In this paper, we first propose an Architecture for the STEP-NC (called FBCC: Feature Baled CNC Controller) accepting feature code compatible with STEP-data, and executing NC motion feature by feature while monitoring the execution status. The main thrust of the paper has been to develop an automatic on-line tool path generation and modification scheme for milling operation. The tool path it generated iota each feature by decomposing into a finite number of primitive features. The key function in the new scheme is haw to accommodate unexpected execution results. In our scheme, the too1 path plinker is designed to have a tracing capability iota the tool path execution so that a new path can be generated from the point where the operation is stopped. An illustrative example is included to show the capability of the developed algorithm.

Performance Comparison of Image Transmission in Underwater Acoustic Environment (수중 음향 환경에서의 영상 전송 성능 비교분석)

  • Underwater acoustic(UWA) communication is one of the most difficult field in terms of severe channel environments such as multipath propagation, high temporal and spatial variability of channel conditions. Therefore, it is important to model and analyze the characteristics of underwater acoustic channel such as multipath propagation, transmission loss, reverberation, and ambient noise. In this paper, UWA communication channel is modeled with a ray tracing method and applied to image transmission. Quadrature phase shift keying(QPSK) and multichannel decision feedback equalizer(DFE) are utilized as phase-coherent modulation method and equalization technique, respectively. The objective is to improve the performance of the image transmission using vertical sensor array instead of single sensor in the viewpoint of bit error rate(BER), constellation diagram, and received image quality.

  • This paper describes a measuring device of glass thickness using machine vision and image processing techniques on real-time. Today, the machine vision enable to inspect fast and exactly than human's eyes. The presented system has advantages of continuous measurement, flexibility and good accuracy. The system consists of a laser diode, a CCD camera with PC. The camera located on the opposite side of the incident beam measures the distance between two reflected laser beams from the glass top and bottom surface. We apply a binary algorithm to convert and analyze the image from camera to PC. Laser point coordination by border tracing algorithm is used to find the center of beam circle. The measured result was compared with micrometer and showed 0.002mm accuracy. Finally, the errors were discussed how to minimize the influence of glass wedge angle and angular error of moving stage.

  • In this paper, we proposed a software strategy of PWM inverter, and could indentify its realization by simulation and experiment. A basic concept of software is that the PWM pattern of inverter decided by the flux vector of induction motor tracing circle locus. The algorithm is charterized as a simplification of control circuit, abilitry on expressing control quintity as quantization and conpensation of quantization error and a switching pattern is decided by addition and substraction and high performance control is realized by 8 bits microprocessor.

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm for moving object tracking from moving camera using histogram back program intersection(HI) and XY-projection The proposed method segments objects using histogram back projection, matches tracing objects using histogram intersection and extracts them using XY- projection. Through the simulation this paper shows that the proposed method segments. matches and tracks objects without significant error image sequences obtained by moving camera.

  • 본 논문에서는 청소로봇이 두 점간에 이동할 때 벽면을 안전하게 추적하는 방법과 두 점간의 이동 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. 제안한 방법은 각각의 적외선 센서에 다른 가중치 벡터를 부여하여 장애물이나 벽면에 대한 정보를 이용하게 된다. 청소로봇은 벽면정보를 이용하여 벽면 주행하게 했다. 그리고 두 점검간의 이동알고리즘으로 이동 할 경우에 벽면 추적 방법과 각도 오차 값과 거리의 error값이 오차가 0이 되도록 두 점간의 이동 알고리즘의 수식의 대수적인 합으로 안전하게 벽면을 주행하였다. Visual C++기반에서 시뮬레이션 한 결과 안전하게 벽면을 추적하고 벽면을 따라 주행하는 벽면주행 알고리즘을 제안하였다.

Extraction and Regularization of Various Building Boundaries with Complex Shapes Utilizing Distribution Characteristics of Airborne LIDAR Points

  • This study presents an approach for extracting boundaries of various buildings, which have concave boundaries, inner yards, non-right-angled corners, and nonlinear edges. The approach comprises four steps: building point segmentation, boundary tracing, boundary grouping, and regularization. In the second and third steps, conventional algorithms are improved for more accurate boundary extraction, and in the final step, a new algorithm is presented to extract nonlinear edges. The unique characteristics of airborne light detection and ranging (LIDAR) data are considered in some steps. The performance and practicality of the presented algorithm were evaluated for buildings of various shapes, and the average omission and commission error of building polygon areas were 0.038 and 0.033, respectively.

  • This paper aims at designing an intelligent controller, based on control Lyapunov Function strategy integrated with fabricating discrete model of Buck and Boost converters and analyzing energy changes during the DC/DC progress to realize tracing reference current on Buck and Boost converters. In addition, practical stability phenomenon research and transient performance analysis has been proposed to give an insight to the influence of controller parameters in achieving an enhanced output performance and how the time of sample period affect the error of practical stability will be illustrated. The novelty of this controller in comparison to other schemes lies in the improved performance of practical stability.
