  • This paper proposes an introductory engineering course for investigating the history of technology and the philosophy of technology. Soft engineering, a new engineering field to explore proper technology and appropriate ways of exercising engineering, was explored. Creative cases for technology are presented following the most creative, successful, and proficient periods-ancient Greek technology, the Renaissance, and Silicon Valley era. Ancient Greek technology was investigated in terms "techne" with the origin of technology and/or art, and their equivalence. The Renaissance period was investigated in terms of "Uomo universale (universal man)" with Firenze geniuses. The successful drivers for the Silicon Valley creativeness were based on "entrepreneurship" and continuation and revitalization of modern and near future technological cultures. The factors driving creativeness were explored. To approach the difficult goal to grasp the course subject issues, facts, and/or concepts of the history and philosophy of technology, this paper takes a stance as a tourist guide and tourists utilizing considerable offline onsite experience and online information. Categorized course materials were surveyed at the beginning of each period and presented according to the preference of the students to maintain the students' interests. Team efforts, including group discussions and project executions, have been encouraged to seek the aspects of creativeness and/or technology.

  • Safety is considered as a very important factor when tourists select tourist spots, which means that the desire for safety in the tourism industry is very high. Therefore, a specialized field for the safety of the tourism industry is necessary. Already, there are staff members who are responsible for safety in various tourism sectors, but they have been led through knowledge based on work experience without professional education. In order to train specialists who are responsible for the safety of the tourism industry, research in related fields is indispensable, and universities in charge of research and education systematically construct surveys of related fields, and through experts I have to train. In the field meaning tourism security, there is Hospitality Security. Hospitality means 'to hospitality', 'to be entertaining', Hospitality Industry is used to cover the tourism industry in its exhaustive sense. Security is a term that refers to safety and security. Therefore, Hospitality Security which the two meanings together, that is, korean word hospitality security, tourism security can be said. Already in the US experts in the field of Hospitality Security explained the importance through related books. Currently in Korea, well-known tourism related universities operate subjects in the Hospitality field, and the security field also manages subjects at several universities. So, We collected the subjects managed at each university, analyzed them, and selected subjects of Hospitality Security. If the results of research through continuous research accumulate, the value as academic will be further increased, and it will be possible to have a role responsible for the safety of the tourism industry by producing experts accordingly.

  • In this study, IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) techniques were used to suggest improvement plans and implications for convergent medical tourism services which medical tourists can be satisfied in Medical institutions. For this study, a total of 244 questionnaires among collected data for customers who experience a medical tourism service (a health checkup) at four hospitals located in Gangneung, Gangwon Province from September 1, 2014 to October 30, 2014 was to ensure a valid sample. As a result of the experiments which conducted by paired sample t-test analysis to learn corresponding to the difference between importance and satisfaction of the medical tourism services, it shows significant differences in all entries In the importance and satisfaction of the medical tourism services. As a result of the experiments which conducted by the IPA, the importance is high awareness but among service items which satisfaction is not actually high, service items that requires intensive care in the future are derived in items of "exact medical tourism services", "rapid response to the needs of the patient", "rapid medical tourism services", "communication with medical tourism coordinator". Therefore, medical institutions may need to be arranged in the Medical Tourism Coordinator with the agility and expertise of the medical tourism.

  • Most local governments make an attempt to attract tourists through the large-scale development projects or regional festival events. But, its possibility of success is actually low, so they must take care of ecotourism industry which has higher efficiency in comparison with investing expense. Seocheon area couldn't be focused greatly in spite of the excellent ecological and cultural resources. However, there are lots of possibilities to be a new center of ecotourism because of newly opened National Institute of Ecology and National Marine Biology Resource Institute. Therefore, the purposes of this thesis are to analyze several eco-cultural property all over Seocheon, introduce ecotourism, a main function of ecosystem services, and develop the program satisfying 3 elements of ecotourism; natural environment, visitors and residents. In Seocheon located in where the sea meets the river, ecological property could be reorganized into 4 areas in relation to existing famous tourist attractions. As a measure to let visitors stay, we induced them to lodge in the region through the field work. To realize slow life, we designed it so that they can enjoy each landscape slowly. we also suggested the program which can guide visitors onto the vicinity of habitat for migratory birds at the mouth of Geumgang River and Seocheon foreshore nominated as Ramsar wetlands by focusing on National Institute of Ecology and National Marine Biology Resource Institute which will be the Mecca of ecology research. Through this research, there will be an opportunity to satisfy visitors of Seocheon and enrich local residents' lives.

This study analyzed the characteristics of Pyongyang landscapes and their effects, based on an analysis of Western tourists motivation for tourism in North Korea and preferred enjoyment-seeking experiences. Using data from the tourist agency specializing in Western tourism in North Korea and a location based photo-sharing service, the study interprets the visual distinctiveness of Pyongyang landscape. The study concluded that widely known risk to travelers in North Korea is in fact an attraction, making people want to visit directly. However, this risk was mitigated in practical experience by the overall intermediation of the tourism agency and locals' conscious behavior to keep their distance from foreigners. Next, the scope of National ritual attributes was expanded to the locals' daily life as well as large-scale events such as mass games and military parades only if for national holidays. Also, the most preferred factors contributing to North Korean tourism were based on departure from routine through mobilization of the residents. This indicates the extension that the nature of North Korea as a theater state. The Pyongyang landscape represents a world politically isolated, people's congregated motion to display to the world, and people's lives hidden beneath a veil. These visualities fulfill the fantasy of Westerners regarding North Korea. Furthermore, these are superficial images that help create a basis to maintain the North Korea regime.

It sub-divided and analyzed scenic features into objective objects, subjective emotions and experienced behaviors. As a result, representative objective objects were flowers and there were also scenes where people enjoyed poem-writing meetings along with drinking-related physical elements such as liquor, liquor glasses, liquor bottles etc. Through drawing out scenes, where users gave meaning to objective objects, it tried to interpret what space meant to them, through which the meaning of flower-viewing attractions is first and foremost a space to enjoy artistic taste. Each space is used as the center of cultural creation such as literary people gathering, viewing flowers, drinking and having poetry-writing meetings. Second, as shown in scenes viewers depicted in each space, visitors were confirmed to enjoy scenes through multi-sensory appreciation. • National parks are one of the important types of protected area management systems established by IUCN and a management model for implementing effective conservation and sustainable use of natural and cultural heritage in countries around the world, and they assume important roles in conservation, scientific research, education, recreation and driving community development. In the context of big data, this study takes China's Liaohe National Park, a typical representative of global coastal wetlands, as a case study, and using Python technology to collect tourists' travelogues and reviews from major OTA websites in China as a source. The text spans from 2015 to 2022 and contains 2998 reviews with 166,588 words in total. The results show that wildlife resources, natural landscape, wetland ecology and the fishing and hunting culture of northern China are fully reflected in the perceptions of visitors to Liaohe National Park; visitors have strong positive feelings toward Liaohe National Park, but there is still much room for improvement in supporting services and facilities, public education and visitor experience and participation.
