  • Big data has recently been used in various industries such as tourism, medical care, distribution, and marketing. And it is evolving to the stage of collecting real-time information or analyzing correlations and predicting the future. In the tourism industry, big data can be used to identify the size and shape of the tourism market, and by building and utilizing a large-capacity database, it is possible to establish an efficient marketing strategy and provide customized tourism services for tourists. This paper has begun with anticipation of the effects that would occur when big data is actively used in the tourism field. Because the method of use must have applicability and practicality, the spatial scope will be limited to Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do, and research will be conducted. In this paper, to improve the quality of tourism courses by collecting and analyzing the number of mention data and sentiment index data on social media, which reflect the tourist's interest, preference and satisfaction. Therefore, it is used as basic data necessary for the development of new local tourism courses in the future. In addition, the development of tourism courses will be able to promote tourism growth and also revitalizing the local economy.

  • Gangwon province has been chosen as a health tourism site by one of the nation level projects from 2008. This study surveyed local governments in the province in 2009, in order to develop suitable approaches to health tourism for the province. From the result, all respondents supported the health tourism in their city. Furthermore, an appropriate type of health tourism for the province identified as health promotion whereby the natural environment rather than advanced medical care. To respond to this, cooperation between local governments and hospitals is important, thus Gangwon province should seek the strategies for this.

  • In this study, it is the study of foreign tourism content information providing utilizing mobile indoor location information services. In particular, we compared the Web App used in Osaka, Japan. Widespread use of smartphones in the world increases, it is changed to free travel of individuals from group travel. Tourists cultural complex shopping mall is able to travel in a room is increasing. By utilizing the services of the guidance location based on the room, it is possible to easily obtain the discount coupon information, tourism content. Also, it is possible to grasp the movement path and disaster relief information. Osaka Japanese tourists increased after the earthquake in Tokyo. So we compare the difference in Osaka web and applications. If improving the indoor location information service method of domestic if it would help foreign tourists attract. In addition, it will give a big impact if there is a fusion of the Internet of things.

Factors Influencing Intention of Vietnamese to Use Korean Medical Tourism (베트남인의 한국 의료관광 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors related to Vietnamese customers who use Korean medical and tourism services. The study was based on the Anderson Models Methods: Participants were 173 Vietnamese who were living in Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi in Vietnam. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$, t-test and Multiple Logistic Regression. Results: Research necessary factors had the most significant effect among the preceding factors, possible factors and necessary factors. Human service and outstanding natural beauty of necessary factors had significant influence on customer intention to use. According to the result of the stepwise logistic regression analysis, the most important item in medical services was human service OR=1.89 (p=.014), and for tour services, outstanding natural beauty OR=4.30 (p=.033). The explained variance for customer intention to use was 91.9%. Conclusion: These results suggest the need to improve the human service and outstanding natural beauty to retain customers' intention to use.

  • The availability of many smartphone applications and ubiquitous Wi-Fi technology has greatly spread the uses of smartphones. Particularly smartphones with the locative media services in tourism are booming because location-based technology such as GPS is well suit with tourism and tourists' needs. Smartphones also overcome the technological limit of traditional information media such as printed book, newspaper, etc. Based on the Niche Theory, the study examines the competitive relationships among information media that are used in tourism including smartphones, traditional paper publications, and computers. The paper also examines the niche of each medium based on the theory and finds which medium is more effective and preferred by people who utilize the services before and during their travel.

  • The remarkable development of information technology today is significantly increasing the desire for related services as it allows one to process and transmit information fast and accurately as well as in an efficient way. Particularly, the spread of the Internet even changes our life pattern, not to mention allowing us to provide or share information. One of the most typical example is electronic commerce. The e-commerce industry, which is build upon informations super high way, is growing rapidly, backed on the development of communications technology and the combination of various media. Companies are active In embracing and utilizing the cutting-edge information technology, whereas the tourism industry in general is still at a rudimentary stage. Therefore, it is expected that the industry will harness e-commerce in many aspects. Tourism, in its characteristic, has a variety of sectors, and cross-sector cooperation is essential. Therefore, the industry can provide better services by connecting or integrating network systems and taking advantage of e-commerce, while it is of no less importance to have informal ion system for promoting products. This thesis will look into and the basic concept and role of e-commerce as well as the existing tourism information system. It will also study ways to make good use of e-commerce by adopting it into the tourism information system.

College Students' Perception toward Nutrition Information at University Dining Services (대학급식 영양정보 표시에 관한 대학생의 인식 조사)

  • The purpose of menu labeling is to offer eating environments with improved healthy food selection. Similar to U.S. policies, the Korea government enforces the Special Act on Children's Food Safety and Nutrition for provision of nutritional labeling in chain restaurants. Considering the importance of dining services for college students and their interests in health, this study examined college students' perception toward nutrition information provided by university dining services. A survey was conducted for university students. Students' recognition of nutrition information for university dining services was lower than recognition of nutrition information for commercial food services. The most common reason cited by students for considering nutrition information of university dining services was customer rights, followed by health maintenance. Students showed a high tendency to use nutrition information of university dining services. College students' motivation for knowing nutrition information of university dining services included health and value interests. Students' knowledge of nutrition had a positive effect on their intention to know nutrition information. The findings of this study offer university administrators and contract food service management companies directions for developing menu labeling for university dining services.

Survey of Awareness of Chinese Tourists on Korean Medical Tourism (한국 한방의료관광에 대한 중국 관광객 인식도 조사연구)

  • Objectives : This study aimed to obtain general information for the design of a medical tourism plan toward Chinese using Korean medicine (KM). Methods : A questionnaire was asked of Chinese tourists regarding of Korea traditional medical tourism. 148 valid responses were obtained and their awareness of KM, and preferred subject and decision factors for their participation in Korea traditional medical tourism were analyzed using SPSS version 12.0. Results : 72% of respondents showed over a moderate degree of interest in medical tourism of KM. The most preferred subject was skin aesthetics, followed by medical check-ups and rehabilitation. Medical skill level, communication, and medical cost were indicated as the important factors for participants' decisions about KM-based medical tourism. Conclusions : Medical tourism could be a potential avenue for development by the KM-based Korean medical industry. Cosmetic-associated medical services are recommended, and enhanced public relations about KM-medical skill levels are strongly suggested for Chinese tourists.

  • The rapid development of information technology has accelerated the application of big data and the Internet of Things in various industries. Big data has a great potential in the development of smart tourism. With the help of innovation in emerging technologies such as big data and Internet of Things, smart tourism has a better possibility to surpass traditional tourism. Therefore, this article provides a theoretical support to this process. It has explored the innovative management model of big data and IoT in smart tourism and evaluate their effects on promoting tourism. It offers a reference for the integration and innovation of the tourism theory system. Before big data technology, the development of Internet boosted online tourism. However, tourism marketing is still inefficient due to a lack of understanding about tourists. After many practical explorations of big data technology, tourism websites begin to adopt big data technology in their daily operations. With the changes in tourists' preferences and needs, further innovation and research are needed to help smart tourism keep up with the changes in the market and create more competitive products and services. Innovation serves as the driving force for enterprises to occupy the market and develop.

A Study on User Perception of Tourism Platform Using Big Data

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze user perceptions of tourism platforms through big data. Data were collected from Naver, Daum, and Google as big data analysis channels. Using semantic network analysis with the keyword 'tourism platform,' a total of 29,265 words were collected. The collection period was set for two years, from August 31, 2021, to August 31, 2023. Keywords were analyzed for connected networks using TexTom and Ucinet programs for social network analysis. Keywords perceived by tourism platform users include 'travel,' 'diverse,' 'online,' 'service,' 'tourists,' 'reservation,' 'provision,' and 'region.' CONCOR analysis revealed four groups: 'platform information,' 'tourism information and products,' 'activation strategies for tourism platforms,' and 'tourism destination market.' This study aims to expand and activate services that meet the needs and preferences of users in the tourism field, as well as platforms tailored to the changing market, based on user perception, current status, and trend data on tourism platforms.
