The cruise tourism industry is viewed as a promising growth industry in the 21st century. But legislative framework to allow the cruise tourism industry to develop in China have not yet been fully prepared. Therefore, this study is intended to propose a industry policy for Chinese cruise tourism industry. The policies that Chinese central government implements that should drive growth for development of the cruise tourism industry are as follows: First, government must establish industry policy to slow cruise infrastructure construction. second, government must improve industry policy for attracting visits by cruise vessels. Third, the government must take steps to support cruise product development. Fourth, the government must take steps to support cruise business and social groups. Last, government must intensify the out abroad tourist screening system and cruise casino management.

Smart tourism, a promising development trend for destinations, has drawn growing attention from practitioners and academics. Extant research has laid a solid theoretical foundation on the roles of technology and effects of smart tourism on tourists. However, little is known about structured and profound implications for a destination's smart tourism development. Thus, by selecting Hong Kong as a case city, this study proposes a framework of implications for smart tourism development. A qualitative approach was employed to gain insights from smart tourism stakeholders. Results shed light on nine elements that boost the smart tourism development of destinations. These nine elements serve as a significant reference for policy-making. Several theoretical and practical implications are provided for scholars, practitioners, and policy makers.

This study aims to examine the effects of GDP as a proxy variable of income, consumer price index as a proxy variable of price, and foot-and-mouth disease and avian influenza as derby variables on rural tourism demand. The independent variables in this research were gross domestic product(GDP), consumer price index(CPI), and dummy variable(DM) such as food & mouth disease & highly pathogenic avian influenza. Results showed that GDP affected tourism demand positively whereas DM influenced negatively. The study suggested that it was important for policy-mconsider GDP and DM when making decision on strategic tourism management. In conclusion, first, gross domestic product was found to have a statistically significant effect on rural tourism demand. Second, avian influenza was found to have a statistically negative effect on rural tourism demand. The results of this study can be used to establish a reasonable rural tourism policy in the future economic dimension.

Saemangeum is the largest reclaimed land in Korea. Saemangeum is the large scale project responding to the economic demand of globalization, and a government initiated new development business with a vision of global Free Economic Zone(FEZ). Jeollabuk-province conducted a international competition to establish a global-scale, creative development plan and grow the Saemangeum as an international destination of economy, and a world-wide brand. SGFEZ has much to offer in terms of tourists attractions and breathtaking scenery. And tourism is one of the important industry in SGFEZ. Many tourist facilities will be construct in SGFEZ. Environment is the important issue in many field of study. Recent days, green growth come into the spotlight in Korea. But even as SGFEZ prepares for its future global tourists attraction, so much of the tourism policy directions remains unconsidered. The objective of this study was to suggest tourism policy direction, especially concentrated on ecology tourism policy direction of Saemangeum Gunsan Free Economic Zone(SGFEZ).

The purposes of the study are (1) to explore relationships amongst attitudes to positive/negative tourism impacts, community satisfaction, government trust, and support for tourism development and (2) to provide practical implications for policy makers how they can gain residents' support by increasing community satisfaction and government trust, which are resulted from attitudes to tourism impacts. A questionnaire is self-administered to local residents using a systematic sampling method in Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province, Vietnam. The results indicate community satisfaction and government trust are core factors of support for tourism development. The study highlights that to attain community satisfaction and government trust, the policy makers should especially increase positive socio-cultural and environmental impacts and minimize negative economic impacts on the community simultaneously.

This paper is intended to identify the main problems for attracting inbound tourists in Korea in conjunction with aviation sector. This paper mainly deals with policy issues of tourism-aviation sector. The major impediments in the aviation sector for attracting inbound tourists can be lack of flight seat supply at peak season, flight time schedule, and cooperation of Airlines. Policy suggestions for international tourism promotion in Korea can be summarized as: re-adjustment of flight time schedule between Japan-Korea routes, market promotion for attracting Chinese visitors, development of Korea-China-Japan triangular tourism product, efficient provision of airport facility, and in particular collaboration between government sectors of countries and private sectors of Airlines and travel agencies.

This study aims at proposing clear direction of tourism policy through analyzing the correlation between tourism resource, tourism system and activation of regional economic. A total of 283 samples were ultimately collected in survey of 300 researchers from the national and public institutes in provinces Chungchong-do and Kyungsang-do in July 2010 alone. SPSS 15.0 and AMOS 6.0 were used to test the model. Analysis showed that the more regional tourism resources have more significant effect on tourism system and tourist-attracting strategy, and that tourism system exerts influence on tourist-attracting strategy. So it was proved that the tourism policy effects meaningfully on vitalization of regional economic, and it was confirmed that the tourism system is more effective on the energization of regional economic than the tourist-attracting strategy. But the hypothesis has been rejected unexpectedly that tourist attractions have consequences for the activation of regional economic. It establishes the fact that it is useless for regional economy regardless of abundant regional tourism resources, if the tourism policy is not concretely in force. Therefore, Korean government must intercept overissue and overlapping investments on tourism development by the local government and induce qualitative growth of tourism sector through upgrading of development guidelines and the criteria for selecting tourism special zone, regional festival and cultural assets, and its continuous assessment and management. And it is desirable to enforce the connected cooperation projects between local governments and the 5+2 great-sphere economic blocs on government-level.

Build the biggest advantages of the meta-meta-model in real time by utilizing Smart App disposition of existing tourism information and tourist and tourism rating database. Several policy measures related to green tourism have been enforced from 2001 by Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF). Rural Development Administration(RDA). Ministry of Environment(ME) and Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs(MGAHA). These have to be introduced and managed of their own accord and autonomously. Also, the rural community that has been promoting green tourism must be harmonized with its natural environment, namely natural scenery and rural culture, which provide urban residents with amenity and rurality. So green tourism had better be based on environmental-friendly agriculture because it offers safe foods and areas, many creatures to see and play around. To manage green tourism sustainable, it if important for rural and urban residents to come into close relation and to trade in organic products each other. Lastly, the region bounds in green tourism have to be expanded into county(Gun) unit.
