  • Purpose: The purpose of the research is to explore the role of social media in attracting international patients for cosmetic services in South Korea during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study aims to conceptualize social media as an effective marketing tool for minimizing perceived risks associated with cosmetic services and increasing patient satisfaction. Methods: The study validated proposed hypotheses using the PROCESS macro for SPSS with overseas patients who received cosmetic treatment in private Korean plastic surgery clinics in Busan. Results: This study found that information delivery capability reduced perceived risk and contributed to patient satisfaction, while communication capability did not show any significant relationship with perceived risk and satisfaction. In addition, information delivery capability had a significant direct effect on patient satisfaction, but communication capability did not. Conclusion: It is expected that the outcomes of this study will broaden our understanding of the use of social media in reducing perceived risk and increasing satisfaction.

  • Fruit trees are a key part of agriculture in rural areas and have recently been a part of ecotourism or agrotourism. This study analyzes user segmentation based on user motivation to determine characteristics of potential customers in fruit tree farms, and thereby develop fruit tree experience and educational programs. We conducted a survey of 253 potential customers of fruit tree experience programs in September 2017. Data were evaluated using factor and cluster analyses. The results of the cluster analysis identified four distinct segments based on potential customers' motivations, that is, activity-oriented, learning-oriented, leisure-oriented, and purchase-oriented. These clusters showed that significant differences in the preference of potential customers exist. Different markets were segmented based on the benefits sought by users. The segments' characteristics were identified and activities relevant to each segment were proposed for rural tourism. Lastly, this study suggests directions for development of fruit tree farm experience and educational programs.

  • This study is an investigative study into the effects that the 'travel motivations' of participants on walking tourism has on their 'degree of satisfaction' by identifying tourist motivations for selecting walking tour among many types of tourism and their effects on hikers' degree of satisfaction. This study was conducted with hikers affiliated with 'walking on beautiful roads '-one of Busan's preliminary social enterprises- with a total of 176 copies used for a final effective sample. Data collected was analyzed using SPSS WIN 18.0 to conduct a frequency analysis of the sample. Along with exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient was used as an estimate of the validity and reliability of each factor. Multiple regression analysis was done for an analysis of travel motivations and their effects on satisfaction. The scale rates items in the questionnaire in the following categories: 'Motivations' for walking tours consist of 5 factors- vacation, soul-searching, social get-togethers, nature tour, community experience-with a total of 20 items. 'The degree of satisfaction' is made up of a factor with a total of 4 items. The results of the study are as follows: with respect to the hypothesis that motivations for walking tour would have a positive effect on the degree of satisfaction, test results show that 'motivations' have significant partial effects on the 'degree of satisfaction'. Motivations affect the degree of satisfaction in the order of nature tour and soul-searching except for experience and social get-togethers- an indication that participants on walking tours tend to travel for the attractiveness of nature, wanting time for reflection and meditation. As the first investigative study into participants in walking tours products offered by travel agencies, the study has the following implications for marketers: First, travel agencies selling walking tour products and government institutions concerned about the development of hiking trails need to discuss ways to make the most of natural resources as they are- rather than using development-oriented approaches. The study has its own limitation: it is that with the lack of domestic and international studies on walking tours, the study has not gained access to precedent studies on the subject so it has not established a systemic approach to the emerging type of tourism. Hopefully, this study will make a small contribution to its development.

  • Purpose The atmosphere of respect for individual tastes that have spread throughout society has changed the consumption trend. As a result, the travel industry is also seeing customized travel as a new trend that reflects consumers' personal tastes. In particular, there is a growing interest in 'film-induced tourism', one of the areas of travel industry. We hope to satisfy the individual's motivation for traveling while watching movies with customized travel proposals, which we expect to be a catalyst for the continued development of the 'film-induced tourism industry'. Design/methodology/approach In this study, we implemented a methodology through 'OCR' of extracting and suggesting film location information that viewers want to visit. First, we extract a scene from a movie selected by a user by using 'OpenCV', a real-time image processing library. In addition, we detected the location of characters in the scene image by using 'EAST model', a deep learning-based text area detection model. The detected images are preprocessed by using 'OpenCV built-in function' to increase recognition accuracy. Finally, after converting characters in images into recognizable text using 'Tesseract', an optical character recognition engine, the 'Google Map API' returns actual location information. Significance This research is significant in that it provides personalized tourism content using fourth industrial technology, in addition to existing film tourism. This could be used in the development of film-induced tourism packages with travel agencies in the future. It also implies the possibility of being used for inflow from abroad as well as to abroad.

  • In what way is the urban landscape of North Korea used today, and what features do people prefer in the North Korean landscape? This study analyzed the characteristics of Pyongyang landscapes and their effects, based on an analysis of Western tourists motivation for tourism in North Korea and preferred enjoyment-seeking experiences. Using data from the tourist agency specializing in Western tourism in North Korea and a location based photo-sharing service, the study interprets the visual distinctiveness of Pyongyang landscape. The study concluded that widely known risk to travelers in North Korea is in fact an attraction, making people want to visit directly. However, this risk was mitigated in practical experience by the overall intermediation of the tourism agency and locals' conscious behavior to keep their distance from foreigners. Next, the scope of National ritual attributes was expanded to the locals' daily life as well as large-scale events such as mass games and military parades only if for national holidays. Also, the most preferred factors contributing to North Korean tourism were based on departure from routine through mobilization of the residents. This indicates the extension that the nature of North Korea as a theater state. The Pyongyang landscape represents a world politically isolated, people's congregated motion to display to the world, and people's lives hidden beneath a veil. These visualities fulfill the fantasy of Westerners regarding North Korea. Furthermore, these are superficial images that help create a basis to maintain the North Korea regime.

  • A chatbot is a responsive chatting program that can communicate with people through text or voice. 'Siri' and 'Bixby' installed in smartphones are also representative artificial intelligences that use the chatbot system. With the rapid development of chatbots, users in various fields have also begun to pay attention to the food service industry. As machine learning technology developed, it became possible to use more flexible conversations, and it soon expanded to the realm of education. Userㄴs interact through conversations with chatbots, and active interactions stimulate users' desires and at the same time have a positive effect on learning motivation. Recommendation system programs using chatbots not only recommend products according to users' preferences, but also provide various additional information. This study planned a program that combined the chatbot system and tourism service. The chatbot curator will develop into a form of inducing interest and curiosity to users through learning, and then facilitating the desire for tourism. The purpose of this study is to lay the foundation for a chatbot curator based on previous studies.
