Consumers' Attitude on Textile for Quick Response based Mass-Customization in Marketing Channels (Quick Response 기반의 Moss-Customization 구현을 위한 점포유형에 관한 소비자 태도 연구)

  • Quick Response based Mass-Customization can be produced and distributed customized goods and services on mass basis in apparel e-business. Because consumers can: t touch and feel the apparel products in e-business, they tend to have the negative buying behavior. The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences of consumer's texture sensibility of apparel products based on marketing channels (on-line/off-line). Two types of questionnaires for on-line and of f-line were used to assess consumer sensibility on apparel fabric. The 8 swatches were selected in regard to the previous literatures. 205 questionnaires for each type (on-line/off-line) were distributed. Statistical devices were t-test, mean and standard deviation with SPSS10.0. The result of this study was showed that there were partially significant differences on consumers' texture sensibility on apparel products between on-line and off-line. Under on-line environment, consumers perceived corduroy as warm, strong, and sandy. taffeta as warm, sandy, and glossy, denim as sandy, and warm, organza as sandy, and thin, satin as sandy, dense, and modern, chiffon as sandy, and flat, velvet as warm, and soft, single jersey as warm, soft, and comfortable. Therefore, apparel firms cooperating based Mass-Customization in e-business have to pay attention to the differences on consumers’ texture sensibility of on-line apparel products from those of off-line.

  • In this research, experiments were performed to focus on haptical factors among the emotional way of expression in design, and, find out what factors of preference influenced by haptic elements as surface material, grip senses and shape that considering clues when consumer has purchase intention. The questionnaire survey of beverage bottles in experiment extract to haptic elements were estimated in various surface of bottles and consumer preference through practical touch by managed objects themselves. The experimental groups for this survey, one is using sight and sense of touch both, the other groups are use sense of touch only without sense of sight. Therefore, to find out effective factors for design and functional matter as the kind of treating surface and properties derived from comparing two experimental groups have recognition in level of priority for each element related with haptical design sources. Finally, considering practical use schema with emotional approach based on haptical property to adopting design process.

  • To become a person that is suitable to the 'High-Touch' generation where emotion takes over, we can focus on 6 skill including design, story, harmony, empathy, play, and meaning. Among these skills, harmony with design was chosen as the most important skill. Design can be seen as the basic element of all business, but it will be difficult to match the flow of the future Sensibility and intuitive generation with just the modern design that has been made based on reasonable and objective information and knowledge. This study suggests system and standardization of Sensibility surface processing design that satisfies great quality, attractive quality and Sensibility quality by applying surface processing design of product and Sensibility cognitive factors felt by the consumer by setting differentiated strategy and CMF (Color, Material, Finishing) understanding along with the importance of design materials in primary aspect. By considering the efficacy/characteristic of new surface processing characteristic/differentiation/possibility of implementation according to setting direction of differentiated CMF strategy per type of parts applied to the product, visual surface processing sample was implemented. Through this, it is expected that practical communication connected tool and Sensibility surface processing design's strategic access framework can be applied by understanding and sharing comprehensive elements such as target product, part type, applied material, applied surface processing, surface color, surface texture, and implementing feeling to environments such as designers, CMF designers, surface processing experts, and engineers in IT, electronics, and other areas. when developing a product.

Cross-Cultural Comparison of Touch Sensation for Korean Traditional Silk fabrics (한국 전통 견직물에 대한 한$\cdot$미 주관적 촉감의 비교)

  • Subjective touch sensation for Korean traditional silk fabrics was evaluated, in order to compare tactile sensory aspects of Korean and American subjects and to determine mechanical properties of the fabrics affecting the sensation psychophysically. Eight aspects of touch sensation including hardness, smoothness, coarseness, coolness, pliability, crispness, heaviness, and thickness were rated by semantic deferential scale. The mechanical properties of fabrics were measured by Kawabata Evaluation System (KES). Both of Koreans and Americans showed fairly similarities to each other in subjective smoothness, coarseness, and crispness. On the contrary, as for coolness and pliability, Koreans were found as feeling the silk fabrics more sensitively than Americans were in that they rated some of modified leno fabrics as very cool and stiff in touch. Coolness and pliability by Koreans were affected mainly by surface and bending properties while those by Americans were determined mostly by compressional and tensile characteristics as well as sulfate properties

Mechanical properties and sensibility of Tencel Jacquard fabrics treated with Ginkgo biloba extract and silicon softener (은행나무추출액과 실리콘유연제를 처리한 침장용 텐셀 자카드 직물의 역학적 특성변화와 감성평가)

  • The purposes of this study are to evaluate mechanical properties and sensibility of tencel jacquard fabrics treated with ginkgo biloba extract and silicon softener, and to contribute to the research and development of the bedclothes made of the tencel jacquard fabrics. Mechanical properties and objective fabric hand evaluation were measured by using KES-FB system. Subjective sensibilities such as sensory, touch, and purchasing preference were estimated by using blind field test. The tensile properties such as EM, WT, and RT of tencel jacquard fabrics treated with ginkgo biloba extract and silicon softener showed increase. Bending properties and shear properties were decreased, but compression properties were increased compared to untreated fabric. With ginkgo biloba extract and silicon softener treatment, thickness and weight were increased. Therefore, tencel jacquard fabrics became more stretchable, softer, and bulkier than untreated fabrics. Consequently, THV of tencel jacquard fabrics treated with ginkgo biloba extract and silicon softener were increased. When fabrics were treated sequentially with ginkgo biloba extract and silicon softener, fabrics were estimated softer, more flexible, and bulkier than untreated fabrics. Also, tencel jacquard fabrics treated with ginkgo biloba extract and silicon softener were estimated to have good touch and preference.

The purposes of this study were to analyze factors of texture image, and to investigate the differences of consumer sensibility on texture image of apparel products based on different marketing channels (on-line/off-line). Two types of questionnaires for on-line and off-line were used to assess consumer sensibility on apparel fabric. The 8 swatches were selected based on the previous literatures. 202 returned questionnaires for each type (on-line/off-line) were analyzed by t-test, mean and standard deviation with SPSS 10.0. The result of this study was showed that there were partially significant differences on consumer sensibility on texture image of apparel products between on-line and off-line. In case of corduroy, consumers perceived more high-class image under on-line than off-line. In case of taffeta, consumers perceived more thin and dense image under off-line (traditional marketing channel) than on-line (e-commerce). In case of denim, consumers perceived more thin and natural image under off-line than online. In case of organza, consumers perceived more natural image under on-line than off-line. In case of satin, consumers perceived more natural image under on-line than off-line. In case of chiffon, consumers perceived denser image under on-line than off-line. In case of velvet, consumers perceived thinner image, higher-class image, and more natural image of texture sensibility under on-line than off-line. In case of single jersey, consumers perceived higher-class image, and denser image of texture under on-line than off-line.

Scapular Free Flap with Sensory Function (감각 신경을 포함한 견갑 피판술의 결과)

  • Purpose: To report the results and the efficacy of the sensory bearing scapular free flap which is known as non-sensible flap. Materials and Methods: Authors underwent 24 cases of sensory bearing scapular free flap to the hands and feet from March 1995 to November 2002. average follow-up period was six year three months. The used flaps were a ordinary scapular flap in fifteen cases, and a parascapular flap in nine. Sensibility of the flaps were checked every one month. Actual sensory evaluation was mostly depends on objective feeling of the patients. Two point discrimination test was performed in all cases. Results: 23 flaps had good skin circulation after microvascular anastomosis among 24. Objective deep touch sensation were observed about three months later after the operation in three cases, between three and six months in nine. In three case whose results were excellent than others, two point discrimination was 2.7 cm at last follow-up. Most of the sensory recovery is confined in deep touch, temperature and light touch sensation was recovered limitedly in 3 cases during our follow-up period. Conclusion: Authors can propose that sensory bearing free scapular flap was considered as one of useful methods for the reconstruction to hand with soft tissue defect and mutilating hand.

  • 본 연구는 터치 인터페이스를 이용하여 음향 효과 재생 시스템을 개발하였다. 터치 인터페이스를 통하여 손의 위치를 인식하고, 해당 위치에 가상의 공을 생성한다. 움직임을 통하여 시각적 피드백과 음향 효과를 발생시킨다. 사용자는 오브젝트의 크기와 위치를 조정하여 창조적인 음향 효과를 얻을 수 있다. 따라서 본 시스템은 터치 인터페이스를 이용하여 사용자와 시 청각적 상호작용을 할 수 있는 인터페이스를 제안한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 촉각의 효과적인 제시를 위한 하나의 보조수단으로 진동의 제시를 상정하고, 이를 위한 사전직업으로 진동에 따른 촉감의 변화를 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 진동 제시 장치를 제작하였고, 진동에 의한 촉감의 효율적인 평가를 위하여 손가락을 제외한 다른 경로로의 진동 전달 및 소음 전달을 차단하고자 하였다. 또한, 진동과 괄련된 물리량으로 주파수와 진폭을 결정하였으며, 이를 정량화 하였다. 본 연구의 목적이 진동에 의한 촉감의 미세조정과 관련된 것임을 고려하여 주관 평가 시 진동의 제시는 각 주파수별로 진동에 의한 촉감의 변화가 발생하는 기준 진폭으로 하였다. 이 외에 보다 객관적인 제시를 위하여, 2가지의 변위 진폭을 설정하여 진동 제시를 하였다. 주관 평가 결과, 주파수가 증가할수록 더 매끄럽게 느끼며 그 감각l 분명해 짐을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The products designed by human sensibility and ergonomics are given good impression. Especially the touch feeling on the human skin is very useful sensibility for quality of products. Elasticity and viscosity of human skin is very important element in product design based on ergonomics. In this paper, we describe a sophisticated method for measurement of dynamic viscoelasticity characteristics of human skin. For this measurement, we developed a measurement system assembled with load cell, actuator, amplifier and data acquisition system. The $MATLAB^{TM}$ is used to analyze the data and fit a approximation curves.
