Several detailed aspects of medical care services during one year (Aug 1, $1982{\sim}$July 31, 1983) were compared between two community health sub-centers; one (A) was served by a local clinician, the other (B) by a trainee of preventive medicine. The results were analysed as follows: 1. Total spells of medical services during the same period in 'A' sub-center was 4,087 and that in 'B' 2,347. Medicaid visitors in 'A' was 1,051 (25.7% of the total), that in 'B' was 250 (10.7%). Significant difference was observed. 2. Average number of visits for the same case in 'A' was 2.0, that in 'B' was 1.4. Average duration of service by day for the same case in 'A' was 3.9, that in 'B' 3.0. 3. Average cost of service for a case in 'A' was 6,770 won, that in 'B' 4,230 won. 4. Difference in age distribution of visitors in the two sub-centers was insignificant. $0{\sim}9$ year group was 38.5% of the total. Difference in distribution by sex (between two sub-centers) was minimal. Male utilisers more than female by ca. 10%. 5. Concerning distribution of visitors by month, utilisation in July, August and September was the highest; the sum of them was 32.7% of the total in 'A' and 32.9% in 'B'. 6. Distribution by diagnoses in 'A' in decreasing order of frequency was Respiratory system diseases (26.1%), Digestive system diseases (23.0%), Diseases of skin and subcutaneous tissue (17.4%), Accidents and poisoning (11.5%) and Diseases of musculoskeletal system and connective tissue (5.4%). That in 'B' was Respiratory system diseases (39.0%), Digestive system diseases (23.0%), Diseases of skin and subcutaneous tissue (14.2%), Accidents and poisoning (10.9%) and Infection and parasitic diseases (9.1%). 7. The 10 most frequent diagnoses comprised 68.5% of the total in 'A' and 65.5% in 'B' 8. Utilisation by accessibility to each sub-center was studied. It is shown that the nearer the distance or the easier the accessibility, the more visits to services. The distinct pattern is manifested in the utilisation in 'A'-Myun.
The aim of this research was to apply a method designed to derive the factors influencing total ammonia removal when operating an additional pretreatment system at Aquaponics. The Box-Behnken method, among response surface analysis methods was used to characterize and determine the optimal nitrification conditions when operating the pretreatment system. Among the mathematically and statistically calculated prediction equations, the total ammonia nitrogen concentration Y1 measured on day 8 was derived as Y1=-195.8+2.23X1+42.9X2+47.5X3+0.1856X12-1.380X1X2-1.770X1X3, and the time taken to reach the maximum total ammonia nitrogen concentration during the experiment period was derived as Y2=271-5.04X1+60.5X2-64.8X3+0.1654X12+6.54X32-0.600X1X3-9.00X2X3. The coefficients of determination of the regression models of Y1 and Y2 were 93.99% and 94.46%, respectively. The modified coefficients of determination were also high, at 89.48% and 88.91%, respectively. The prediction coefficients of determination of Y1 and Y2, were 70.68% and 62.11%, respectively, which was relatively lower than that of Y1, but still indicated a reliable prediction performance.
Multicarrier DS-CDMA is an effective approach to combat fading and various kinds of interference. In this paper, we present an overlapped multicarrier DS-CDMA system, wherein each of the rate 1/M convolutionally-encoded symbols is also repetition coded and transmitted using overlapped multicarriers. However, since the frequency spectrums of successive carriers are allowed to overlap, the transmission bandwidth is more efficiently utilized. The effect of the overlapping percentage between successive carriers of a multicarrier DS-CDMA system on the performance is investigated to determine the overlapping percentage showing the best performance. We suggest two methods for sub-band overlapping variation. One is to allow variation of sub-band overlapping percentage when the total number of subcarriers is fixed. The other is to increase the number of sub-bands (the number of repetitions R) with fixed sub-band bandwidth. Given a total number of subcarriers MR, we show that the BER variation is highly dependent on the roll-off factor ${\beta}$ of a raised-cosine chip wave-shaping filter irrespective of convolutional encoding rate 1/M and repetition coding rate 1/R. We also analyze the possibility of reduction in total multi-user interference by considering the variation of both the roll-off factor ($0<{\beta}{\leq}1$) and the sub-band overlapping factor ($0<{\lambda}{\leq}2$), and show that the proposed system may outperform the multicarrier DS-CDMA system in [3].

This research quantified(/m2) the supplied materials at the construction stage of apartments, the main architecture form domestically, and presented the average CO2 emission by analyzing 50 apartment complexes. The results are as follows. CO2 emission of each type of constructions by supplied materials is architecture (78.8%), machine (8.8%), electricity (5.3%), civil engineering (3.4%), landscaping (3.4%), and communication (1.0%). The building construction charged about 79%. Average CO2 emission of total 50 apartment complexes according to supplied material expense appeared to be 950 kg-CO2/m2, and when core-type pillar was included CO2 emission largely increased.
Sub-station, key equipment in electric power infrastructure, are being exposed to increasing risk of hacking. For this, soft redundancy sub-station system needs to be formulated with automatic restoration mechanism. For this it is important to assess the reliability of the applicable range of data that are used in actual system operation, as well as the methods and findings of the tests. At the same time performance of soft redundancy system and total security mechanism, which are aligned for the protection of the sub-station, need to be tested. For testing the above-mentioned, this paper presented a viable formation of a soft redundancy practical VPN system within a panel to protect the latter from hacking or cracking incidences, and conducts a test to check if the considered system actually serves the protection function in the actual operation setting, gathering evidence from the data from the testing of the actual performance of the system as well as of emergency scenario simulation operations. Because tested soft-redundancy & restorative sub-station system is expected to be widely applicable for various cases such as Smart-grid or electricity IT system, where VPN with enhanced level of security is required.
A 5kW class SOFC cogeneration system consisted of a hot box part, a cold BOP (balance of plant) part, and a hot water reservoir. The hot box part contained a stack, a fuel reformer, a catalytic combustor, and heat exchangers. A cold BOP part was composed of blowers, pumps, a water trap, and system control units. A 5kW stack was designed to integrate 2 sub-modules. In this paper, the 5kW class SOFC system was operated using 2 short stacks connected in parallel to test the sub-module and the system. A short stack had 15 cells with $15{\times}15 cm^2$ area. When a natural gas was used, the total power was about 1.38 kW at 120A. Because the sub-modules were connected in parallel and current was loaded using a DC load, voltages of sub-modules were same and the currents were distributed according to the resistance of sub-modules. The voltage of the first stack was 11.46 V at 61A and the voltage of the second stack was 11.49V at 59A.
The author propose a method to realize a self organization in the artificial system. In self organizing system, sub-systems are not constructed as functional parts of the system but cooperate with one another to realize the total system. Each sub-system obtains the local purpose from the global purpose by learning. This function is realized by using a neural network. The validity of this method is confirmed by some simulations.
