전동차 공조기 덕트 내의 유동특성에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical study on the flow characteristics in Air-conditioner duct of EMU)

  • The inside of EMU is supplied with the cooling air from air-conditioner and the fresh air from exterior through the air-conditioner duct which is one of the air conditioning system. The shape of air-conditioner duct is a major factor in determining the air-conditioning efficiency, thermal comfort and energy efficiency. Therefore, this study is to understand the flow characteristics in the air-conditioner duct by three dimensional numerical simulation. The air-conditioner duct was calculated for the design volume flow rate, $2,726\;m^3/h/unit$. From the result of calculation and measurement, the velocity at diffuser outlet presented good agreement in general. [n this present study, the calculation was also performed for three volume flow rate(1,800, 2,200, 3,000 $m^3/h/unit$) and total pressure characteristic curve with volume flow rate was presented.

원주방향 볼류트 입구 높이를 수정한 자동차용 터보차저 원심압축기의 성능 향상 (Enhancement of the Performance a Centrifugal Compressor in an Automobile Turbocharger by Modifying the Circumferential Inlet Height of Volute)

  • 자동차용 터보차저 압축기의 성능 개선을 위해 원주방향의 볼류트 입구 높이들이 수정되었고 디퓨저를 포함한 볼류트에 대한 유동장이 상용 소프트웨어를 사용하여 조사되었다. 기본적으로 잘 설계된 볼류트는 높은 압력회복계수와 낮은 전압력손실계수를 보여주어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 동일한 단면형상과 설단면각(Tongue Angle)을 가지나 원주방향으로는 서로 다른 볼류트 입구 높이를 갖는 두 경우의 원형단면 볼류트가 선정되었다. 하나는 $90^{\circ}$ 원주방향에서는 단면 중앙으로 유입되나 이후의 원주방향에서는 볼류트 단면 최하단부들을 잇는 접선과 동일한 높이를 유지하면서 점진적으로 하단부로 유입되는 볼류트 형상이다(케이스 1 볼류트). 다른 하나는 설단면에서는 접선방향으로 유입되도록 모든 원주방향에 대하여 입구 높이를 2 mm 낮춘 형상이다(케이스 2 볼류트). 해석결과, 케이스 2 볼류트가 케이스 1 볼류트보다 높은 압력회복계수로 인한 높은 전압력비와 낮은 전압력손실계수로 인한 높은 등엔트로피 효율을 보여주었다.

전탕 압력과 전탕 시간의 차이에 따른 곽향정기산 전탕액 비교 (Investigation of difference of Gwakhyangjeonggi-san decoctions produced by different pressure levels and various extraction times)

  • Objectives : Gwakhyangjeonggi-san (GJS) which consists of 13 herbal medicines has been used to treat gastrointestinal disorders caused by common cold. This study was performed to compare GJS decoctions produced using different pressure levels for various extraction times. Methods : Decoctions were prepared by the pressure levels of $0kgf/cm^2$ (non-pressurized) or $1kgf/cm^2$ (pressurized) for 30-180 min. The extraction yield, total soluble solid content (TSSC), and hydrogen ion concentration (pH) were measured, and the contents of the nine marker compounds were determined using high performance liquid chromatography. Results : The higher pressure and longer extraction time significantly increased TSSC value, while decreased the pH value. However, only extraction time affected the extraction yield of pressurized decoction. Variation of the amounts of chemical compounds was shown in pressurized and non-pressurized decoctions during extraction time. The result of regression analysis showed that pressure and extraction time can influence to extraction yield, TSSC, pH, and the content of chemical compounds. Conclusions : This study suggests that the pressure and extraction time can significantly affect the extraction efficiency of components from GJS decoctions.

축류압축기 블레이드의 표면조도가 성능에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Surface Roughness on Performance of Axial Compressor Blade)

  • Deterioration of surface of turbomachinery blades occurs in course of time due to many factors and hence reduces the performance of the machine. In this paper, the effects of surface roughness of transonic axial compressor blade on performance are studied considering a reference blade and a shape distorted (optimized) blade. Optimal blade is designed considering sweep and lean. Baldwin-Lomax turbulence model is used for flow field analysis and Cebeci-Smith roughness model is formulated for roughness modeling. It is found that, as the surface roughness increases, adiabatic efficiency, total temperature ratio and total pressure ratio decrease while Mach number increases. Performance deterioration is more severe in case of distorted blade as compared to reference blade.

  • In this paper, the circuit of AC Choppers for $CO_2$laser Power Supply are proposed and investigated. IGBT-controlled ac voltage regulators, operating at high frequency chopping mode. Chopping-to-supply duty ratio plays an important role in terms of laser output. Laser input energy is varied by controlling the leakage transfomer used with the proposed system. This improved circuit employs a 3 electrode-type and Ring Blower. This improved circuit system has many advantages compared with the conventional SMPS such as simple design requirment, easy implementation, high reliability, low switching loss, and consequently high efficiency. As a result, the maximun output was 16W at duty-ratio of 92%, total gas mixture of $CO_2$: $N_2$: He = 1 : 9 : 15, total pressure of 15torr.

  • Endwall losses contribute significantly to the overall losses in modern turbomachinery, especially when aerodynamic airfoil load and pressure ratio are increased. Hence, reducing the extend and intensity of the secondary flow structures helps to enhance overall efficiency. From the large range of viable approaches, a promising combination positioning and height of endwall contouring was chosen. The objective of this study is to document the three-dimensional flow in a turbine cascade in terms of streamwise vorticity, total pressure loss distribution and static pressure distribution on the endwall and blade surface and to propose an appropriate positioning and height of the endwall contouring which show best secondary, overall loss reduction among the simulated endwall. The flow through the gas turbine were numerically analyzed using three dimensional Navier-Stroke equations with a commercial CFD code ANSYS CFX-10. The result shows that the overall loss is reduced near the flat endwall rather than contoured endwall, and the case of contoured endwall installed at 30% from leading edge with height of 25% for span showed best performance.

디젤분무의 분열길이 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Measurement of Break-up Length for the Diesel Sprays)

  • The injected liquid does not break-up instantly after injection for diesel engine. There is some unbroken portion, which is the liquid core(The length of liquid core is called the break-up length) in the spray. If the liquid core is longer than the depth of the bowl in the small DI diesel engine, the liquid core impinges on the surface of the piston. Once the liquid core impinges on the surface, it cannot ignite or burn rapidly and thus prolongs burning time with a degradation in thermal efficiency. The break-up length of a diesel spray in a compressure vessel was measured by an electric resistance method, A voltage was applied between the nozzle and screen, bar, needle electrode inserted at various axial and radial positions into atomizing sprays. As a result, a current flows not only in the region of liquid core but also through the droplets of the spray. It is found that the break-up length measured with screen electrode is overestimated. The break-up length of the spray is found to be proportional to the square root of the density ratio of fuel and surrounding gas. The break-up length of the spray decreases as the injection pressure and the back pressure increase.

고압공기분사를 이용한 유류오염토양 세척기법의 적용성 연구 (Applicability of Washing Techniques Coupled with High-Pressure Air Jet for Petroleum-contaminated Soils)

  • 유류오염토양에 대한 고압공기분사를 이용한 세척기법의 적용성 연구를 위하여 저유소 주변의 실제 디젤오염토양을 사용하였으며 초기 오염농도는 $2,828{\pm}206\;mg/kg$으로 토양환경보전법상 가지역 우려기준 농도를 5배 이상 초과하였다. 세척공정의 기본 운전인자들에 대한 조건별 효율성 평가 및 최적조건 도출실험을 수행한 결과 효율적인 세척을 위하여 impeller는 편심 및 기울어진 중심에 위치하는 것이 가장 유리하였으며 교반속도는 높은 전단력(shear force)이 발생하는 고속교반조건(300 rpm)에서 세척효율이 가장 우수하였다. 교반시간은 10분이 효율성 및 경제성이 우수한 조건으로 판단되었으며 1차 반응속도식에서 도출된 교반속도별 속도상수들간 증가율 감소를 확인하여, 저속 교반조건(30, 60 rpm)에서도 추가적인 물리적 탈착력이 더해진다면 고속교반조건에서와 같은 제거효율을 얻을 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 고압공기 분사에 따른 세척효율은 소수성(hydrophobic)의 토양표면 유류물질이 수중의 공기방울 표면에 강하게 부착(attracting)되어 제거됨을 확인하였고 공기압이 높아질수록 반응기내 공기유량이 증가되면서 오염물질의 부착율이 향상되었다. Impeller에 의한 교반과 고압공기 분사 혼합공정에서는 60 rpm, $2\;kg/cm^2$ 조건이 가장 효율적으로 판단되었다. 따라서 고압공기분사를 통한 토양세척기법은 유류오염토양 정화에 효율적 적용이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

재순환케이싱처리 높이변화가 터보차저 압축기의 성능에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Height Variation of Recirculating Casing Treatment on the Performance of a Turbocharger Compressor)

  • 자동차용 터보차저 원심압축기의 재순환케이싱처리(RCT)부의 높이변화가 압축기의 성능에 미치는 영향이 조사되었다. 연구대상 RCT 부의 높이는 1.2mm, 1.5mm, 1.8mm 의 세가지이며, 회전수 범위는 90,000 - 150,000 rpm, 유량 범위는 0.015 kg/s - 0.08 kg/s 이다. 전압력비와 등엔트로피 효율 비교 결과, 본 수치계산은 실제압축기의 성능 제원과 최대오차 0.7%의 범위 내에서 잘 일치하였다. 해석결과, RCT 부 높이 1.2mm, 1.8mm, 1.5mm 순서로 균일 압력분포, 높은 압력비, 넓은 작동범위를 얻었다. 이들 세가지 경우 모두, 회전수가 증가할수록 이들의 압력비는 높아지나 운전범위는 좁아지는 전형적인 압축기 맵의 특성을 보여주었다.

PVC압출공정의 염화비닐 발생특성과 작업환경개선에 관한 사례연구 (A Case Study on the Release Characteristic and Removal Efficiency of Vinyl Chloride in the Poly Vinyl Chloride Extrusion Process)

  • This study was carried out to investigate characteristic of vinyl chloride emissioned from poly vinyl chloride extrusion process and to evaluate the efficiency of local exhaust ventilation system. Before local ventilation facility was constructed in poly vinyl chloride extrusion process, the average worker exposure to vinyl chloride was 3.15 ppm, which exceeded Threshold Limit Value of American Conference of Gorvernmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH-TLV), 1 ppm. lt is possible that vinyl chloride residues in the poly vinyl chloride resin was released or degased due to extrusion heat. The larger the width of vinyl tube become, the higher worker exposure to vinyl chloride was. It is estimated that vinyl chloride from vinyl chloride resin increased as amount of poly vinyl chloride resin extruded in the extrusion process increased. Canopy hood was an appropriate type for poly vinyl chloride resin extrusion process. This local exhaust ventilation has fan static pressure of 7.65 inch wg($190mmH_2O$, total volumetric flowlate of 4,796 CFM ($135.8m^3$/min) and fan power requirement of 12 hp (8.952 Kw). After this local exhaust ventilation was constructed there, the average concentration of worker exposure to vinyl chloride was reduced to be 0.46 ppm, which was below the Threshold Limit Value, 1 ppm. Also, the removal efficiency rate of vinyl chloride attained by local exhaust ventilation was 85.3%. It was a statistically significant (p<0.01).
