수유기간에 따른 Preterm Milk의 질소 함량 변화에 관한 연구 (Changes in Contents of Nitrogen of Preterm Milk during Lactation)

  • Nitrogen(N) concentration of preterm(PT) and term (T) milk in various fractions, such as total, protein, nonprotein, whey protein and casein were determined at 2-5 days, 1, 2, 4 and 6 weeks of postpartum. The purpose of this study was to investigate the nitrogen concentration of human milk from mothers delivering at preterm and term, and the propriety of preterm milk for premature infants. The concentration of total N, nonprotein N, protein N, whey protein N and casein N in preterm milk was decreased significantly with time postpartum. Total N was 374mg/이 at colostrum, 232mg/dl at mature milk. Whey protein N was decreased from 42mg/dl at 2-5 days to 32mg/dl at 4-6 weeks. Protein N was 332mg/dl at colostrum, 202mg/dl at mature milk. The proportion of whey protein N and casein N were 39:61 at colostrum, 28:72 at mature milk. No difference were found between T and PT milk for total nitrogen excepted 2 weeks. In this report we show that nitrogen concentration except casetpt casein N is smaller in milk from mothers giving birth prematurely than in milk from mothers giving birth at term, over the first two weeks of lactationl But protein N was higher in preterm milk than term milk, whey protein nitrogen was lower. By comparing predicted nitrogen intakes to estimated requirements of preterm infants fed 150 to 200ml/kg/day of their own mother's milk, we predict that the quantities of protein provided would be adequate to meet the requirements of the prematured infants during the early weeks of life.

식생피도가 식생여과대의 질소 및 인 처리효율에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Plant Coverage on the Treatment Efficiency of Nitrogen and Phosphorus in Vegetative Filter Strips)

  • In order to control the non-point source pollution, a vegetative filter strips (VFS) was set up and the site-monitoring was performed. The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of the plant coverage on treatment efficiency of total nitrogen (T-N) and total phosphorus (T-P) using vegetative filter strips. According to the results, it seemed that the treatment efficiencies of T-N and T-P were closely related with the plant coverage ratio. The results showed that treatment efficiency of T-P average 50% at higher than 50% of the plant coverage and 20~23% at lower than 50% of the plant coverage. Also, the treatment efficiency of T-N increased with the increase of the plant coverage ratio.

낙동강 주요 지천의 인 및 질소부하량에 관한 연구 (Phosphorus and nitrogen loading from the main tributaries into the Nakdong River)

  • Phosphorus and nitrogen loadings from the main tributaries into the Nakdong River were estimated by measuring phosphorus and nitrogen concentration in the main tributaries, Nakdong River(Kangjung), Kumho River, Heichun, Hwang River, Nam River, Milyang River, and Yangsanchun from May 1994 to October. Total Phosphorus concenuation of Kumho River was vary high, average 1.0 mgP/1. The other rivers were the range 0.05 ~0.15 mgP/1. Total nitrogen concentration of Kumho River was vary high, average 6.27 mgN/1. The other rivers were the range 1.5~3.0 mgN/l. The phosphorus loading from Kumho River, Nakdong River(Kangjung), Nam River, Milyang River, Hwang River, Yangsanchun, and Heichun were calculated to be 1, 108, 603, 198, 57, 34, 23, and 21 tP/yr, respectively. Therefore, the loading from Kumho River accounted for 45 "yo of total loading, 2, 042 tP/yr, The nitrogen loading from Nakdong River (Kangjung), Kumho River, Nam River, Milyang River, Hwang River, Heichun, and Yangsanchun were calculated to be 12, 636, 7, 411, 2, 611, 1, 523, 779, 608, and 391 tN/yr, respectively. Therefore, the loading from Nakdong River(Kangiung) and Kumho River accounted for 50 % and 30% of total loading, 25, 959 tN/yr, respectively.vely.

하천에서의 영양물질 관리를 위한 총질소 환경기준 설정에 관한 연구 (Deriving Water Quality Criteria of Total Nitrogen for Nutrient Management in the Stream)

  • The objective of this study is to suggest the water quality criteria of total nitrogen in order to efficiently manage the nutrient pollution in the stream. For this, correlations between water quality parameters were examined using the water quality data collected from the water quality monitoring network in the four rivers between 2003 and 2012. T-N showed positive correlations with T-P (0.636), COD (0.577), BOD (0.574), TOC (0.440), and SS (0.367). The statistical analysis including percentile analysis for the T-N and T-P concentrations was utilized to develop the water quality criteria of T-N. The feasibility of the suggested water quality criteria was evaluated by calculating the achievement rate to water quality target at the representative points in mid-watershed, then the draft water quality standard of T-N was suggested. The suggested water quality standard of T-N in the stream may be used to efficiently control the nutrient pollution in the public water body.

Evaluation of Loess Capability for Adsorption of Total Nitrogen (T-N) and Total Phosphorous (T-P) in Aqueous Solution

  • The aim of the present study is to explore the possibility of utilizing loess for the adsorption of total phosphorous (T-P) and total nitrogen (T-N) in water. Batch adsorption studies were performed to evaluate the influences of various factors like initial concentration, contact time and temperature on the adsorption of T-P and T-N. The adsorption data showed that loess is not effective for the adsorption of T-N. However, loess exhibited much higher adsorption capacity for T-P. At concentration of $1.0mgL^{-1}$, approximately 97% of T-P adsorption was achieved by loess. The equilibrium data were fitted well to the Langmuir isotherm model. The pseudo-second-order kinetic model appeared to be the better-fitting model because it has higher $R^2$ compared with the pseudo-first-order and intra-particle kinetic model. The theoretical adsorption equilibrium $q_{e,cal}$ from pseudo-second-order kinetic model was relatively similar to the experimental adsorption equilibrium $q_{e,exp}$. The thermodynamic parameters such as free energy ${\Delta}G$, the enthalpy ${\Delta}H$ and the entropy ${\Delta}S$ were also calculated.

주암호 복내 저수구역내 침수 자생식물의 질소 및 인 모니터링 (Monitoring of Nitrogen and Phosphorus from Submerged Plants in Boknae Reservoir around Juam Lake)

  • 주암호내 복내 저수구역에서 서식하는 자생식물체들이 침수시 주암호 수질에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 복내 저수구역이 침수되기 전인 2010년 8월의 영양염류(질소 및 인) 최대 흡수량과 침수 후 다시 침수이전 수위로 회복된 2011년 2월에 남은 식생의 영양염류 잔존량 차이를 이용하여 산술적인 영양염류 용출량을 산정하였다. 2010년 8월에 침수되기전 복내 저수구역내 식생의 면적은 987,872 $m^2$이었다. 침수전인 2010년 8월에 복내 저수구역내 식생의 분포면적별 T-N의 흡수량은 물억새가 247 kg/total reservoir area, 이삭사초가 11,340 kg/total reservoir area로 분포면적이 넓은 이삭사초의 T-N 흡수량이 물억새에 비해 많았으며, T-P의 흡수량도 1,231 kg/total reservoir area로 이삭사초가 가장 많았다. 침수 후 2011년 2월에 조사된 상부지역 물억새의 T-N 및 T-P의 잔존량은 각각 34 및 11 kg/total reservoir area로 침수 전에 비해 감소하였고, 이삭사초의 T-N 및 T-P의 잔존량은 각각 491 및 68 kg/total reservoir area로 물억새와 비슷한 경향으로 침수 전에 비해 감소하였다. 이상의 결과를 종합하여 복내 저수구역내 식생의 T-N 및 T-P의 총 용출량을 산정한 결과 T-N 용출량은 복내 저수구역 총 식생면적(987,872 $m^2$)당 12,212 kg, T-P 용출량은 총 식생면적당 1,324 kg이었다. 따라서 복내 저수구역내 자생식물은 침수시 수중에서 분해되면서 식물체내 질소 및 인이 용출되어 주암호의 수질오염을 가중시킬 수 있는 한 요인이 될 수 있으므로 호소내 수질개선을 위해서는 저수구역내 식물체의 관리방안이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

시설 참외 관비재배시 생육단계별 질소시비기준 설정 (Establishment of the Optimum Nitrogen Application Rates for Oriental Melon at Various Growth Stages with a Fertigation System in a Plastic Film House)

  • 본 연구는 토양검정시비량에 준하는 비료량을 기준으로 그 처리량을 가감하여 점적관수로 관비하였을 경우 참외의 생육과 수량에 미치는 영향을 조사하고 참외의 생육단계별 양분흡수특성을 검토하여 관비재배 시에 생육단계별 참외 질소시비기준을 설정하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 토양검정 질소시비량 ($N:P_2O_5:K_2O$=249:408:315 kg $ha^{-1}$)의 0배, 0.5배, 1.0배, 1.5배에 해당하는 질소량을 8회로 나누어 정식 후 10일 간격으로 관비하였다. 점적관비에 의한 참외 생육기간 중 참외의 생육, 수량 및 무기양분흡수 등을 조사하였다. 잎, 줄기 중 T-N의 함량은 정식 30일까지 증가한 후 점점 감소하는 경향을 보였고, 질소관비량이 증가할수록 T-N함량도 증가하는 경향을 볼 수 있었다. 질소관비량이 증가할수록 참외의 생체중과 질소흡수량은 증가하였지만 총수량 및 상품수량은 그렇지 않았다. 총수량과 상품수량은 검정시비 0.5배구에서 각각 44,550 kg $ha^{-1}$와 42,880 kg $ha^{-1}$로 가장 높았다. 또 상품과율도 0.5배구에서 95%로 가장 높았다. 결과적으로 과실의 총수량, 상품수량, 상품과율 등을 고려할 때, 검정시비 0.5배구에 해당하는 질소량의 관비가 참외의 생육 및 수량 증가에 가장 효과적인 것으로 판단된다.

농업용수 수질기준 T-N 항목에 대한 검증 실험( I ) (An Evaluation Study on Total Nitrogen(T-N) Item of Agricultural Water Standards)

  • The present agricultural water quality standards are set by a policy goal. This is intended for water quality management of public water resources, but not for the use of water resources. These standards were not determined by considering the influence of water quality on the safety of agricultural produce and the growth, yield and quality of agricultural crops. Thus, this study was carried out to investigate the influence of irrigation water quality on the growth, yield, and grain quality of rice and acquire fundamental knowledges to set up irrigation water quality standards. The pot experiment was conducted with 4 treatments using irrigation waters with various total nitrogen concentrations (control, 1, 5, 10, 20mg/L) and replicated four times with randomized block design. The results of this study showed that plant height, number of tiller, plant dry weight, the uptake of N, P, and K, and rice protein contents tended to increase as the T-N concentration in irrigation water was increased. In addition, grain yield at T-N 20 mg/L was significantly higher than in the control, but the percentage of head rice was slightly lower due to the increase of green kernel and white belly/core kernel.

산지 계류수에서의 총질소, 총인 및 COD의 유출부하 (Outflow Loads of Total Nitrogen, Total Phosphorus, and COD in Mountain Stream Water)

  • 산지계류수에서의 T-N(총질소), T-P(총인) 및 COD(화학적산소요구량)의 농도와 유출부하의 변화를 파악하고 산림의 수질정화기능을 평가하였다. 충청북도에 있는 시험유역은 면적이 92.5 ha이며 59%의 혼효림과 30%의 침엽수림으로 구성되어 있다. 시험유역의 말단에서 평상시는 10일 간격으로 또한, 1개의 강우사상에 대하여 2-6 시간 간격으로 계류수의 유량과 농도를 1년간 측정하였다. 강우시의 평균농도는 COD만이 유의적인 수준(p<0.05)에서 평상시의 농도보다 높게 나타났다. T-N과 T-P의 평균농도는 식생생육기(5-10 월)가 식생 휴지기(11-4 월) 보다 낮게 나타났는데, 이는 식물에 의한 영양염류 흡수와 토양의 온도상승에 따른 미생물의 활동이 증가하기 때문으로 생각된다. 연간유출부하에 대한 강수시 유출부하의 비는 T-N이 87%, T-P가 83%, COD가 87%로서 연간유출부하 중 강우시의 유출부하가 매우 높게 나타났다. 시험유역의 오염부하 원단위는 T-N이 5.9 kg/ha $\cdot$ yr, T-P가 0.15 kg/ha $\cdot$ yr, COD가 23.9 kg/ha $\cdot$ yr로 산정되었다. 또한, 시험유역에 의한 T-N, T-P 및 COD의 연간제거율은 각각 24, 58, 66%로 나타나, 산림유역이 수질정화기능을 발휘하고 있는 것으로 판단된다.

곤충에 의한 계분의 분해 특성평가에 대한 연구(2) (A Case Study on Facilitating the Decomposition of Poultry Manure using Insect Larvae(2))

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the structure and composition (i.e., pH, moisture, total-N, pathogens, and volatile fatty acids) of broiler and duck manure treated with larvae of three insect larvae, namely, Tenebrio molitor, Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis, and Ptecticus tenebrifer. Hatched Tenebrio molitor (n=300), Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis (n=60), and Ptecticus tenebrifer (n=300) were used in this study; specially, the larvae were divided into six treatments with three replicates. The treatments were as follows: T1: 110 g broiler manure + Tenebrio molitor larvae (n=50), T2: 110 g duck manure + Tenebrio molitor larvae (n=50), T3: 125 g broiler manure + Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis larvae (n=10), T4: 125 g duck manure + Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis larvae (n=10), T5: 105 g broiler manure + Ptecticus tenebrifer larvae (n=50), and T6: 105 g duck manure + Ptecticus tenebrifer larvae (n=50). For all the larval treatments, the following results were observed: The moisture content of the duck manure treat with three insect larvae was higher than that of the broiler manure (p<0.05), whereas broiler manure had a higher pH (p<0.05). In addition, the total nitrogen content of broiler manure was higher than that of duck manure (p<0.05). However, the insect larvae did not significantly affect pathogens (E.coli and Salmonella) and the volatile fatty acids (p>0.05). In conclusion, the use of the three insect larvae to create organic nitrogen compost using poultry manure is feasible.
