로타리 경운작업 시 트랙터 PTO 가혹도 평가 (Evaluation of Tractor PTO Severeness during Rotary Tillage Operation)

  • Analysis of load on major parts of the tractor power drive line is critical for efficient and optimum design of a tractor. The purpose of this study was to evaluate severeness of the tractor PTO driving axle during rotary tillage operation. First, S-N (stress vs. number of cycle) curve of a PTO driving gear was obtained through the fatigue life test using a PTO dynamometer. Second, PTO severeness was evaluated during rotary tillage operation. Torque measurement system was constructed with strain-gauge sensors to measure torque of a PTO axle, an I/O interface to acquire the sensor signals, and an embedded system to calculate severeness. The severeness of PTO was analyzed using measured torque data during rotary tillage. In the PTO gear life fatigue test, breakage time and bending stress of the gear were measured by tooth widths and torque change during the fatigue life test. The S-N curve showed a good linear relationship between bending stress and number of cycle (life) with a coefficient of determination of 0.97. For PTO severenss evaluation, rotary tillage operations were conducted at two PTO rotational speeds (level-1, level-2) under different paddy and upland field sites with different soil conditions. Results of averaged relative severeness for PTO level-1 and PTO level-2 were 1.96 and 3.34, respectively, at paddy field sites, and they were 1.36 and 2.51, respectively, at upland field sites. The results showed that the PTO driving axle experienced more severe load during rotary tillage at paddy fields than at upland sites, and relative severeness was greater at the higher PTO rotational speed under all of the soil conditions.

  • This paper presents a tuning-free conditional integration anti-windup strategy for induction machine with Proportional-Integral (PI) type speed controller. The on/off condition of integral action is determined by the frequency domain analysis of machine torque command without a prior knowledge of set-point changes. There are no tuning parameters to be selected by users for anti-windup scheme. In addition, the dynamic performance of the proposed scheme assures a desired tracking response curve with minimal oscillation and settling time even in the change of operating conditions. This algorithm is useful in many high performance induction machine applications not to allow the oscillation and overshoot of speed/torque responses. The main idea can be extended to general applications such as chemical processes and industrial robots.

  • A prototype of 750 kW direct-drive wind turbine generator system, KBP-750D is under development in Korea. For the gearless, direct-drive prototype a synchronous generator with permanent magnets has been developed. The upwind 3-blade type machine employs variable speed and pitch control. The operating ranges of wind and rotor speed are 3 to 25 m/s and 9 to 25 rpm, respectively. The tip speed ratio of rotor blade is 7.5, designed for power coefficient 0.47, The blade pitch and torque are controlled with the predefined torque-speed curve according to the conditions of wind and public electric grid. This paper describes the outlines of primary components of KBP-750D.

  • 본 논문에서는 PI형태의 속도제어기를 장착한 고성능 유도전동기의 조건부 적분형 자동 튜닝 anti-windup 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법에서는 전동기 운전 조건에 대한 사전 정보 없이도 전동기 토오크 지령의 주파수 해석에 의해서 적분기 온/오프 시점이 결정된다. 따라서, 사용자는 anti-windup 동작을 위한 별도의 제어 상수를 설정하지 않아도 된다. 또한, 동작 조건이 변동하여도 과도 상태의 속도는 항상 최소한의 오버슈우트와 점착시간을 가지도록 동작한다. 본 기법은 속도 및 토오크 응답의 오버슈우트를 허용하지 않는 유도전동기 고성능 응용 분야에 유용하게 적용 될 수 있으며, 기본 개념은 화학 공정이나 산업용 로봇과 같은 일반 산업 응용 분야에도 확대 적용 가능하다.

500kW급 수평축 조류발전기의 수력 최적 설계 (Hydrodynamically Optimal Blade Design for 500kW Class Horizontal Axis Tidal Current Turbine)

  • A tidal current turbine is designed and analyzed numerically by using blade element momentum theory. The rated power has a limitation because the diameter of the tidal current turbine cannot exceed the depth of sea water. This study investigates a horizontal axis tidal-current turbine with a rated power of 500 kW. NACA-6 series laminar foil shape is used for basic airfoil along the blade span. The distributions of chord length and twist angle along the blade span are obtained from the hydrodynamic optimization procedure. Prandtl's tip loss correction and angle of attack correction considering the three-dimensional effect are applied for this study. The power coefficient curve shows maximum peak at the rated tip speed ratio of 6.0, and the maximum torque coefficient is developed at the tip speed ratio of 4. The drag coefficient reaches about 0.85 at the design tip speed ratio.

  • The marine diesel engine have been widely applied with a mechanical hydraulic governor to control the ship speed for long time. But it was recently very difficult for the mechanical hydraulic governor to control the speed of engine under the condition of low speed and low load because of jiggling by rough fluctuation of rotating torque and hunting by dead time of diesel engine. In order to analyze the speed control system the transfer function was converted from z to w transformation. The author proposed velocity control system with feedback loop by PID controller in order to stabilize for unstable area. The influence of dead time was discussed by Nichols chart and unit step response curve. It was confirmed through computer simulation that the performance improvement of a mechanical hydraulic governor can be obtained by PID controller.

표면부착형 / 매입형 영구자석 동기 전동기의 비교 분석 (Comparative Analysis of Surface-mounted and Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor)

  • In this paper, we present a comparative analysis of surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motors (SPMSM) and interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSM). First, we use 2D finite element analysis (FEA) to analyze models satisfying the same rated conditions according to the torque-speed curve characteristics, which are determined from the operating conditions. Next, we manufacture an SPMSM and IPMSM having good performances from an electromagnetic perspective based on analysis results, namely the cogging torque, torque ripple, and efficiency. We analyze both of the manufactured machines when they are connected back-to-back and when they are used as a motor and a generator, respectively. The motor is driven by a commercial inverter and the generator is connected to a three-phase resistance load bank. Finally, based on experimental results, which include the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the back electro-motive force (EMF), cogging torque, efficiency, and mass, we determine the motor that is most suitable under requirements.

  • In order to use the high-speed range of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(same as IPMSM above), the motor should be at flux weakening control status. High-speed range is called field weakening control region or constant power region, and explain the basic theory of flux weakening control used in the constant power region. Back electromotive force of IPMSM is measured. and field weakening conrtrol driving characteristics is configurated verification test. Through experimentation speed-torque characteristic curve, the efficiency variation corresponding to the current phase angl,the efficiency map were produced.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop the straightforward design guidelines of PD/PID speed controller for Industry servo drives with plug and play concept. The controller gains are uniquely determined from the current control loop dynamics, speed loop delay, and mechanical parameters. In order to eliminate the mechanical friction uncertainties, an automatic PD/PI control mode switching algorithm Is introduced using online spectrum analysis of motor torque command. The dynamic performance of the proposed scheme assures a fast tracking response curve with minimal oscillation and settling time over the whole operating conditions. For comprehensive comparison of conventional PI control scheme, extensive test is carried out on actual servo system.

  • A method for the time step analysis of single phase induction motors is proposed. The unknown variables in differential equations are the currents flowing through rotor bars. They are coupled with the distributed magnetic flux densities in the airgap instead of inductance matrix while applying Kirchhoff's and Faraday's induction laws. Two patterns for magnetic flux densities are necessary. One is given by ideal stator winding distribution. the other is produced by currents flowing a rotor bar with unit magnitude and is calculated by FEM. Formulated set of equations are solved for a simple three phase and single phase example model and the resultant speed torque curve is shown in this paper.
