  • An interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) is receiving increased attention for many industrial applications because of its high torque to inertia ratio, superior power density, and high efficiency. IPMSM is necessary to use the accurate information of the inductance for the precise torque control owing to the reluctance torque. This paper presents two method to measure the each-axis Inductance. The first method uses the peak current that is measured by applying the pulsewise voltage on the each position of IPMSM. The second uses the hysteresis loop of the flux and current measured by applying the positive and negative pulsewise voltage alternately on the each-axis.

  • The Synchronous Reluctance Motor(SynRM) was made and experimented. Salient type SynRM was manufactured by cutting two sides of the three phase squirrel case rotor. So this prototype motor has same stator and capability with the counterparts of the induction motor. The airgap flux density, inductance and torque characteristics was inspected by Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The static torque experiments was accomplished. The paper proposed the effect of rotor bar by comparing two models.

Current-Driven Domain-Wall Depinning in Pt/CoFe/Pt Nanowires with Perpendicular Magnetic Anisotropy

  • The spin transfer torque efficiency was determined experimentally by observing the current-driven domainwall depinning of Pt/CoFe/Pt nanowires with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. The depinning time was exponentially proportional to the applied magnetic field, and was well explained by the Neel-Brown formula. The depinning time and threshold magnetic field were varied considerably by injecting current into the nanowire. The spin transfer torque efficiency was estimated to be $(7.2{\pm}0.9){\times}10^{-15}Tm^2$/A from the linear dependence of the threshold current density with respect to the applied magnetic field.

  • This paper deals with the ellipse permanent magnet machines for the minimization of torque ripple based on electromagnetic field theory. On the basis of a magnetic vector potential and a two dimensional (2-D) polar system, analytical solutions for flux density due to permanent magnet (PM) and current are obtained. In particular, the analytical solutions for mathematical expressions of magnets with different circumferential thicknesses can be solved introducing improved magnetization modeling techniques. The analytical results are validated extensively be nonlinear finite element solutions, a reduction of torque ripple can be achieved.

  • Cogging torque is often a principal source of vibration, noise and difficulty of control in BLDC motors. Therefore, this paper will present a design method of magnetization system with sinusoidal air-gap flux density distribution of Nd-Fe-B magnets in ring type for reduction of Vibration and Noise and low manufacturing cost.

  • This paper present increasing of Power density of slotless PMLSM by inserting core between phase winding. PM width is changed and PM is divided into two part to reduce and eliminate high order space harmonics affecting torque ripple. Flux density, back EMF, inductance, thrust, normal and detent force are computed by 2D FEM, and analysis values are compared with each other.

Influence of Frequency on Electromagnetic Field of Super High-Speed Permanent Magnet Generator

  • When compared with traditional power frequency generators, the frequency of a super high-speed permanent magnet generator (SHSPMG) is a lot higher. In order to study the influence of frequency on the electromagnetic field of SHSPMGs, a 60000rpm, 117kW SHSPMG was taken as a research object. The two-dimensional finite element model of the generator was established, and the two-dimensional transient field of the generator was simulated. In addition, a test platform of the generator was set up and tested. The reliability of the simulation was verified by comparing the experiment data with that of the simulation. Then the generator electromagnetic field under different frequencies was studied, and the influence mechanism of frequency on the generator electromagnetic field was revealed. The generator loss, voltage regulation rate, torque and torque ripple were analyzed under the rated active power load and different frequencies. The influences of frequency on the eddy current density, loss, voltage regulation rate and torque ripple of the generator were obtained. These conclusions can provide some reference for the design and optimization of SHSPMGs.

컴퓨터 영상을 이용한 임플란트 식립부위의 골밀도와 조직학적 연구 (BONE DENSITY AND HISTOMORPHOMETRY ASSESSMENT OF DENTAL IMPLANT USING COMPUTERIZED TOMOGRAPHY)

  • Bone density in the recipient implant site seems to be an important factor for long term success of endosseous implants. Preoperative evaluation of bone density is very helpful to assist the clinician with the treatment planning of implant therapy. Accurate information on bone density will help the surgeon identify suitable implant sites, thereby improving the success rate of the procedure. Purpose; The aim of this study was to evaluate a correlation between bone density measured preoperatively with computerized tomography and histologically measured bone density by bone biopsy. Patients and methods; Twenty seven patients were selected. All the patients were in good health, with no systemic disorder and additional bone graft. Preoperatively the patients underwent CT scanning to evaluate Houmsfield Unit(HU). Each patients wore a surgical template for implant placement. During surgery 2mm in diameter and 6mm in length specimens were taken. Histomorphometric analysis was performed using digitalized image analysis software Axiovision 4.3. Also, the Resonance frequency analysis(RFA) and insertion torque values were recorded. Results; The highest histomorphometric values was found in the posterior mandible $32.3{\pm}3.8$, followed by $29.9{\pm}2.6$ for the posterior maxilla, $29.4{\pm}2.6$ for the anterior maxilla, $28.6{\pm}2.3$ for the anterior mandible(p=0.214). The hounsfield unit was $989.2{\pm}258.1$ in the posterior mandible, $845.0{\pm}241.5$ in the anterior maxilla, $744.5{\pm}92.6$ in the anterior mandible, $697.3{\pm}136.9$ in the posterior maxilla(p=0.045). This results may suggest that there are strong correlation between the histomorphometric values and hounsfield unit(r=0.760, p<0.05). The RF measurements were $81.9{\pm}2.4$ ISQ in the posterior mandible, $79.0{\pm}1.4$ ISQ in the anterior mandible, $78.3{\pm}4.6$ ISQ in the posterior maxilla, $76.5{\pm}5.0$ ISQ in the anterior maxilla(p=0.048). The insertion torque values was $43.2{\pm}4.2\;Ncm$ in the posterior mandible, $42.0{\pm}0.0\;Ncm$ in the anterior mandible, $41.3{\pm}4.1\;Ncm$ in the posterior maxilla, $40.8{\pm}3.8\;Ncm$ in the anterior maxilla(p=0.612). This results may suggest that there are statistical significance between the hounsfield unit and the insertion torque values(r=0.494, p<0.05), the histomorphometric values and the insertion torque values(r=0.689, p<0.05). But there was no correlation between histomorphometric values and ISQ. There was no statistical significance in age and gender effect on parameters. Conclusions; There was significant correlations between bone density and implant stability parameters. The bone density measurements using preoperative CT may help clinicians to predict primary stability before implant insertion, which is associated with implant survival rates.

  • This paper proposes the optimal design of stator shape for cogging torque reduction of single-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor with asymmetric notch. This method applied size and position of asymmetric notches to tapered teeth of stator for single-phase BLDC motor. Which affects the variation of the residual flux density of the permanent magnet. The process of optimal design included the extraction of the sampling point by using Latin Hypercube Sampling(LHS), and involved the creation of an approximation model by using kriging method. Also, the optimum point of the design variables were discovered by using the Genetic Algorithm(GA). Finite element analysis was used to calculate the characteristics analysis and cogging torque. As a result of finite element analysis, cogging torque were reduced approximately 39.2% lower than initial model. Also experimental result were approximately 38.5% lower than initial model. The period and magnitude of the cogging torque were similar to the results of FEA.

  • BLDC (Brushless DC) 전동기는 선형적인 토크 대 전류, 속도 대 전압특성을 갖고 있으며 기계적 전기적인 잡음이 없고, 가감속 제어가 용이하며, 토크 대 관성의 비가 매우 높아 소형으로 높은 출력을 낼 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 전기자 전류의 전환 (Commutation)시 고정자 권선의 인덕턴스 성분과 역기전력으로 인해 발생되는 전류리플은 BLDC 전동기의 구동시 발생되는 토크리플의 중요한 원인이 되어, 고정밀 서보계통에 대한 응용에 큰 장애가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 퓨리에 시리즈계수를 사용한 새로운 전류제어 알고리즘을 개발하여 상전류 전환시 발생하는 전류리플을 최소화함으로서 토크리플을 현저히 감소 시켰으며, BLDC 전동기의 구동을 위해 널리 사용되고 있는 UNIPOLAR PWM 방식과 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통해 비교함으로써, 새로운 알고리즘의 효용성을 입증하고자 한다.
