본드선도기법을 이용한 차량용 V-벨트 CVT의 동특성 해석 (Analysis of dynamic characteristics for an automotive V-belt CVT by bondgraph modeling method)

  • Dynamic characteristics for an automotive V-belt CVT with centrifugal and torque-ramp actuators was investigated by bondgraph modeling method. Ten(10) state space equations for the V-belt CVT were developed from the constructed bondgraph model and linearized for perturbation at steady state. As simulation results, speed ratio versus time curves were obtained. It was found that as the ratio of the moment of inertia of the pulleys increased, the stability of the V-belt CVT system decreased. Change in the ratio of the spring constants caused the magnitude of the change of the speed ratio, but had little effect on the settling time of the system became faster and the stability of the system improved. However, the sensitivity of the speed ratio decreased with the increasing .betha.

  • CVT(Continuously Variable Transmission) is one of the most promising candidates for the future automobile transmission because of its continuously variable gear ratio and reduced shift shock. It is also possible to operate the power source at its high efficiency region with CVT. The CVT system consists of thrust plate, driving pulley, belt, driven pulley, and preload spring of output shaft. In this paper, the dynamic modeling of a CVT system is completed to obtain the static performances of CVT system. A simulator is implemented on Matlab(Simulink), which can analyse the static performances of a CVT system. The methods for improving the total efficiency of a motorcycle system are also proposed based on the simulation results. In this study we increase the capacity factor of CVT up to the three times of default specification.

Dynamic System Analysis of Machine Tool Spindles with Magnet Coupling

  • In this study, basic concepts of magnet were introduced, and dynamic characteristics of magnet coupling were explored. Based on these characteristics, it was proposed how to analyze transverse and torsional vibrations of a spindle system with magnet coupling. Proposed theoretical approaches were applied to a precision power transmission system machined for this study, and the transverse and torsional vibrations were simulated. The force on magnet coupling was shown as a form of nonlinear function of the gap and the eccentricity. Also, the form of torque transmitted by magnet coupling was considered as a sinusoidal function. Main spindle connected to a coupling of a follower part was assumed to be a rigid body. Nonlinear partial differential equation was derived to be as a function of angular displacement. By using the equation, torsional vibration analysis of a spindle system with magnet coupling was performed. Free and forced vibration analyses of a spindle system with magnetic coupling were explored by using FEM.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel type shaft-less ring type ultrasonic motor. A traveling wave rotary type ultrasonic motor is selected as a base model. The newly designed stator has two piezoelectric ceramic rings which are bonded in sandwich shape as traveling wave generator. So, we can expect to produce higher torque. The proposed model has the rotor structure that coupled with the stator provokes the pressure, this model do not install the separate plate any spring device. We used the finite element method to verify the operation principle and to compute the vibration mode of proposed model.

  • In this study, we tried to investigate the impedance characteristic of human arm in a cooperative task. Human arm was moved in a desired trajectory. The motion was actuated by a 1 degree-of-freedom robot system. As the muscle is mechanically analogous to a spring-damper system, a second-order equation was considered as the model for arm dynamics. In the model, inertia, stiffness and damping factor were considered. The impedance parameter was estimated from the position and torque data obtained from the experiment and based on the "Estimation of Parametric Model".   • A novel loading mechanism of wedge roller type has been developed. This type traction drive has long system life and high efficiency by changing the pre-load on a contact point. And this loading mechanism does not need precision machining. So it has, as opposed to the conventional loading mechanism, an advantage in saving manufacturing cost. In this paper, by analyzing pre-load generating mechanism, spring pre-load and the roller size are defined and the stress on the contact point by pre-load is calculated. On the basis of this analysis, the model of wedge roller type traction drive for the test is made and was carried out its performance test. It can transmit input torque up to 1.5 N m, with high efficiency over 91% up to 98%, with slip rate under 2.5%.

소형 전기차량용 구배반응 무단변속기 개발 (The Development of Gradient Response CVT for a Small Size Electric Vehicle)

  • In this study new CVT(Continuously Variable Transmission) system which is adaptable to a small size electric vehicle is proposed available to gradient response CVT. New pulleys consist of springs adapted driving pulley and driven pulley. At the moment a small electric vehicle drive a slope, new system respond to a gradient as overcoming tensional force of springs. We made prototype of gradient response CVT to test parts performance and travelling performance test. As a result of test, belt pitch diameter varied for high torque direction at the gradient. In the flat travelling, acceleration travelling and gradient travelling performance test, the small electric vehicle with gradient response CVT get improved perfomance than the small electric vehicle with reduction gear.

  • This paper presents a discrete analysis approach to investigate the performance of dual mass flywheel (DMF). In the discrete analysis, arcspring installed between the flywheels is modeled as N- discrete elements. Each element consists of mass, spring and nonlinear friction element. LuGre friction model is used to describe nonlinear friction characteristic. Based on the dynamic models of the DMF, clutch, engine, manual transmission and vehicle, a DMF performance simulator is developed using MATLAB Simulink. Simulation results of the engine speed, driveshaft torque and vehicle velocity are compared with test results. It is found that the discrete DMF model describes the vehicle behavior closely, especially during the clutch actuation period.

  • In this paper, by using pseudo-inverse matrix of the spatial redundant flexible manipulators, a position control method and its effect in vibration suppression was presented. Vibration suppression control was developed using lumped mass spring model of the flexible manipulators. With 2 elastic links and 7 rotory joint manipulator ADAM, (1)position control for no redundancy, and (2)position control for one redundant DOF(degree of freedom) were tested. The objective of this experiment is to show the effect of position control, using pseudo-inverse matrix. toward the improvement of operation, and at the same time, to reduce the vibration of the link and the magnitude of the joint torque.

결합부 유연성에 따른 감쇠거동에 관한 고찰 : 히스테레틱 감쇠 (Estimations of the Hysteretic Damping by Controlled Joint Flexibilities)

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the damping behavior of a flexible joint. The slip at a structrual joint is selected at the tips of two identical cantilever beams adjoining each other. Both the direction of normal force and its magnitude varies due to the global deformation of the structure from mode to mode in the friction model. The friction dependent on vibration displacements resultsin the same functional behavior of the hysteretic material damping. Linearized energy loss factors are obtained as functions of both linear and torsional spring stiffness for their groups of symmetric and anti-symmetric modes, respectively. Experimental measurements as made for comparisons with analytical estimations by controlling the magnitude of fastening torque in the fastener, Hi-Lite. Trends on damping levelsmeasured in a very common vibration test method make an excellent agreement on the estimated damping levels.
