정현파(正弦波) 출력(出力) PAM형(形) IGBT 인버터에 관한 연구(硏究) (A Study on IGBT inverter for sinusoidal wave output PAM type)

  • In variable speed driving system of three phase induction motor controlled by an inverter, because of the switching of semiconductor devices in inverter, an appreciable amount of harmonic components of voltage waveform can cause the motor to generate losses, torque ripple, acoustic noise and oscillation of semiconductor devices. In this paper a new PAM type PWM inverter using IGBT is described. The output waveforms in the proposed PAM type PWM inverter are investigated both theoretiically and experimentally. The line-voltage waveform is composed of fundamental component and the sidebands of carrier frequency. The lower order harmonics are not included in the output wave form. As each inverter arm does not operate during two-thirds period, the heats, generated in the devices are reduced. That is, the size of the inverter system can he minimized because of the reduction in the heat dissipating equipment.

Control of Electrically Excited Synchronous Motors with a Low Switching Frequency

  • The switching frequency of the power electronic devices used in large synchronous motor drives is usually kept low (less than 1 kHz) to reduce the switching losses and to improve the converter power capability. However, this results in a couple of problems, e.g. an increase in the harmonic components of the stator current, and an undesired cross-coupling between the magnetization current component ($i_m$) and the torque component ($i_t$). In this paper, a novel complex matrix model of electrically excited synchronous motors (EESM) was established with a new control scheme for coping with the low switching frequency issues. First, a hybrid observer was proposed to identify the instantaneous fundamental component of the stator current, which results in an obvious reduction of both the total harmonic distortion (THD) and the low order harmonics. Then, a novel complex current controller was designed to realize the decoupling between $i_m$ and $i_t$. Simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of this novel control system for EESM drives.

왜곡된 역기전력을 갖는 매입형 영구자석 동기 전동기의 MRAS관측기를 이용한 토크리플 저감 (Torque ripple reduction based on MRAS observer for the interior PMSM with back emf harmonics)

  • 본 논문에서는 왜곡된 역기전력을 갖는 매입형 영구자석 동기전동기의 토크리플 저감 방법을 제안한다. 역기전력에 왜곡성분이 있는 경우 정현파 전류로 모터 제어 시 역기전력의 왜곡으로 인한 토크리플은 전동기의 진동 증대 및 효율 저하의 요인이 된다. 이러한 토크리플에 의한 전동기의 진동은 특히 저속에서 문제가 된다. 저속운전 시 전동기의 토크리플을 저감하기 위해서는 역기전력의 왜곡에 의한 토크리플을 줄일 수 있는 토크리플 보상 전류제어가 필요하다. 이 경우 토크리플 보상전류를 구하기 위해서는 역기전력의 왜곡성분에 대한 정보가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 역기전력의 왜곡성분을 off_line 방식이 아닌 전류기반 MRAS 관측기를 사용하여 실시간으로 추정하여 토크리플 저감전류를 보상함으로써 토크리플을 저감한다. 제안된 토크리플 저감 알고리듬은 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증한다.

  • This paper introduces the propulsion system for Korean High Speed Railway(HSR). The developed propulsion system consists of PWM AC/DC converter and inverter. Compared with TGV-K, converters can improve input harmonics characteristics by the interlaced PW switching methods. And several merits such as unity power factor and simple regenerative operations can be also made. As a main power component, IGCT stack with suitable structure for high speed train and environmentally friendly cooling heat pipe is designed. In this paper, overall configuration of controller and control scheme is briefly described. Finally running tests are made to verify the developed propulsion system. The presented test results shows fast torque response, balanced converter current sharing, and appropriate running sequence.

Analysis of Half-coiled Short-pitch Windings with Different Phase Belt for Multiphase Bearingless Motor

  • The analysis and comparation of the half-coiled short-pitch windings with different phase belt are presented in the paper. The half-coiled short-pitch windings can supply the odd and even harmonics simultaneously, which can be applied in multiphase bearingless motor (MBLM). The space harmonic distribution of the half-coiled short-pitch windings with two kinds of phase belt is studied wi th respect to different coil pitch, and the suitable coil pitch can be selected from the analysis results to reduce the additional radial force and torque pulse. The two kinds of half-coiled short-pitch windings are applied to the five- and six-phase bearingless motor, and the comparation from the Finite Element Method (FEM) results shows that the winding with $2{\pi}/m$ phase belt is fit for the five phase bearingless motor and the winding with ${\pi}/m$ phase belt is suitable for the six phase bearingless motor. Finally, a five phase surface-mounted permanent magnet (PM) bearingless motor is built and the experimental results are presented to verify the validity and feasibility of the analysis. The results presented in this paper will give useful guidelines for design optimization of the MBLM.

반경방향 착자형과 Halbach 배열형 영구자석 회전자를 갖는 고속 슬롯리스 기기의 공극자속밀도 특성 비교 (Comparison on the Airgap Flux Density of High-Speed Slotless Machines with Radial Magnetization and Halbach Array PM Rotor)

  • High speed brushless permanent magnet(PM) machines need a key technology to minimize the iron core losses in stator and the eddy current losses in the retained sleeve and magnets caused by slotting harmonics. Thus, slotless or iron-coreless brushless PM machines have been applied for a very high rotational speed and/or the ripple-free torque. Unfortunately, slotless or coreless PM machines have lower open-circuit field than slotted and/or iron-cored types, which cause to reduce power density. Fortunately, Halbach array can generate the strong magnetic field systems without additional magnetic materials. In this paper, the 4-pole Halbach array is applied to the high speed machine and is compared with the radial magnetized PM array in field system. The iron-/air-cored stator of PM machine is constructed with/without winding slots. Open circuit magnetic fields of each type are presented from the analytical method and finite element method. Consequently, it is confirmed that the Halbach array field system with slotless stator is more suitable to the high speed motor because it has high flux density, sinusoidal flux distribution than others.

Online Dead Time Effect Compensation Algorithm of PWM Inverter for Motor Drive Using PR Controller

  • This paper proposes the dead time effect compensation algorithm using proportional resonant controller in pulse width modulation inverter of motor drive. To avoid a short circuit in the dc link, the dead time of the switch device is surely required. However, the dead time effect causes the phase current distortions, torque pulsations, and degradations of control performance. To solve these problems, the output current including ripple components on the synchronous reference frame and stationary reference frame are analyzed in detail. As a results, the distorted synchronous d-and q-axis currents contain the 6th, 12th, and the higher harmonic components due to the influence of dead time effect. In this paper, a new dead time effect compensation algorithm using proportional resonant controller is also proposed to reduce the output current harmonics due to the dead time and nonlinear characteristics of the switching devices. The proposed compensation algorithm does not require any additional hardware and the offline experimental measurements. The experimental results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed dead time effect compensation algorithm.

  • This paper presents an improved operating characteristics of squirrel-cage induction motor(IM) for 5-phase 1.5kW, 220V, 60Hz in order to study a polyphase AC machinery that keep hold of advantages more than traditional three-phase a IM, such as reducing a amplitude of torque pulsation, decreasing electric noises, and increasing the reliability. The developed manufacturing motor was necessary to do improvement of speed regulation, efficiency, operating characteristics, and so on at rated load. There are remake a redesigned and distributed stator winding connection without changing the frames of stator and rotor core in previous established the motor by a repeat tests. There are shown a experiments results of no-load test, locked rotor test, operating characteristics at variable load, FFT analysis of harmonics within output voltages and current waveform, decided motor parameters.

  • 일반적으로 유도 전동기 가변속 운전할 때 인버터의 스위칭 작용으로 많은 고조파가 포함되어 전동기의 고조파 손실, 토크 맥동, 전자기적 소음 및 진동 등을 초래하게 된다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 부분공진 벅 컨버터와 3상 전압형 SPWM 인버터 회로를 유도전동기 운전시스템에 적용하였다. 제안한 회로의 입력전류를 거의 단위 역률로 정현파화하기 위해 동작 조건을 다양하게 변화시켰으며 커패시터는 보조다이오드와 전력스위칭에 적절히 배열하여 전원측으로 전압을 회생시켜 공급하였다. 그리고 전압반전기능을 부가하는 것에 의해 전원전압 극성 반전시 입력전류의 변형 최소화함으로서 역률 및 효율이 개선시켰다. 또한 출력 필터를 이용하여 출력선간전압의 고조파 성분을 감소하였으며, 상태공간 해석을 도입하여 정류기의 동작을 예측하였다. 이러한 모든 사항은 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 그 타당성을 확인하였다.

매트릭스 컨버터 토폴로지를 이용한 직류전동기 속도제어 (The Speed Control for Direct Current Motors Using Matrix Converter Topology)

  • 본 논문은 직류전동기 속도제어를 위해 매트릭스 컨버터의 적용 가능성을 제안한다. 매트릭스 컨버터는 크게 직접 매트릭스 컨버터와 간접 매트릭스 컨버터로 나뉘는데 본 논문에서는 다양한 출력 단을 구성할 수 있어 향후 많은 활용이 예상되는 간접 매트릭스 컨버터를 이용하였다. 제안한 방식은 기존의 방식보다 입력 전류의 파형을 개선하고, 부피가 크고 비용이 많이 들며 수명단축의 원인이 되는 에너지 저장 요소를 가지지 않는 이점이 있다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 기존 방식과 본 논문에서 제안하는 방식의 특징을 비교 분석하여 제안한 방식의 유효성을 입증하였다. 속도제어, 토크제어, 부하전류제어에서는 유사한 성능을 보이며, 입력전류는 정류단의 스위치를 직접 제어함으로써 정현파와 유사하게 제어되기 때문에 고조파가 크게 감소되었다.
