  • This study deals with the speed control of an overcentered variable-displacement hydraulic motor on a constant pressure network, which is noted for its high system efficiency fast dynamic response and energy recovery capability. The speed control characteristics of the conventional cascade PI controller are largely affected by load-torque disturbances. To obtain robust speed control despite torque disturbances, the load torque is estimated by an observer based on a mathematical model and compensated for by a feedforward loop. It is shown by experiment that robust speed control may be obtained with the proposed controller. The experimental data agree fairly well with the theoretical analysis.

  • This paper proposes a novel design method for flux barrier which built in q-axis in rotor of IPM type BLDC motor. It aims to reduce the motor vibration with reduced cogging torque and lessened torque ripple by the sinusoidal waveform distribution of flux generated in the permanent magnet, which results from designed flux barriers. Design of flux barrier optimized using the Taguchi methods that considered multiple quality characteristics, such as cogging torque, average torque and efficiency are considered. The result of proposed method is compared and verified with 2D finite element method (FEM).

  • Interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) has higher power density than other PM(permanent Magnet) machines due to reluctance torque in addition to magnetic torque, and the ratio of magnetic and reluctance torque has influences on motor characteristics such as input current, efficiency, power factor, etc. Therefore, this paper presents the output characteristics of IPMSM according to the ratio magnetic and reluctance torque of IPMSM and discuss the design strategy of IPMSM.

  • Planetary Speed Reducer consists of a sun gear, a planetary gear and a ring gear and if one element is fixed at this Speed Reducer, another elements operate to become a drive-axis and a subordination-axis respectively. Planetary Speed Reducer is frequently used for gear Speed Reducer because it has the advantage of having the high efficiency and getting the high Speed Reducer ratio in small space. However, it is difficult to know the current transmitted torque immediately during the use of Speed Reducer and so complicated equipment is installed in addition to protect the overload of system. The object of this paper is to design the Speed Reducer of torque- meter type that can know the torque transmitted using the power transmission feature of a simple Planetary Speed Reducer fixed at ring gear.

  • In this paper a new dynamoelectric winch system is introduced which is widely applied in shipping. building, architecture and so on. Generally in the winch system the squirrel cage induction motor is used as prime mover and line voltage is directly applied to the induction motor during operation. So it is difficult to obtain the smoothing revolution. because of variation of the weight of cargo and system operating method. Based on above reasons, the switched reluctance motor (SRM) is proposed to replace the induction motor because of more reliable mechanical structure, better traction characteristic and higher efficiency compared to induction motor. And in order to solve smoothing revolution problem, instantaneous torque control method based on torque sharing function (TSF) is used. Finally the validity of the proposed method is verified through the simulation and experimental results.

  • Ships have been propelled and maneuvered by electrical drives since trle late seventies. Recently, rare earth PMs allow the design of brushless motors with very high efficiency over a wide speed range. This is the most important factor in ship propulsion technology. Several types PM motors have been developing for ship propulsion system. However these have disadvantage such as cogging torque. It causes an undesired effect that contributes to output ripple, vibration, and noise of machine. Therefore several techniques may be adopted in designing PM motor in order to reduce the cogging torque. This paper describes cogging torque receding methods such as adjusting arigap length, magnet arc, and magnet thickness. That are analysed by using the finite element method(FEM) and the maxwell stress tensor method.

  • The torque of SRM depends on phase current and the derivative of inductance. But the inductance of SRM is nonlinearly changed according to rotor position angle and phase current because of saturation in magnetic circuit. Therefore this has a concern in torque ripple and speed variation, and it is difficult to control the desired torque The torque of SRM depends on phase current and the derivative of inductance. This paper proposes an optimization control scheme by adjusting both the turn-on and turn-off angle according to high efficiency points which are simulated by GA-Neural Network, which is used to simulate the reasonable switching angle which is nonlinearly varied with rotor speed and load.

  • Torque of an induction motor is generally calculated by simplified equivalent circuit. However, the torque has an error since it is calculated by simplified equivalent circuit. In this paper, stator and rotor currents, torque, efficiency, and power factor are derived from the equivalent circuit of an induction motor using mesh analysis method. Then, they are compared with those calculated from simplified equivalent circuit.

  • Optimal efficiency control of synchronous reluctance motor(SynRM) is very important in the sense of energy saving and conservation of natural environment because the efficiency of the SynRM is generally lower than that of other types of AC motors. This paper is proposed a novel efficiency optimization control of SynRM considering iron loss using multi adaptive fuzzy learning controller(AFLC). The optimal current ratio between torque current and exciting current is analytically derived to drive SynRM at maximum efficiency. This paper is proposed an efficiency optimization control for the SynRM which minimizes the copper and iron losses. There exists a variety of combinations of d and q-axis current which provide a specific motor torque. The objective of the efficiency optimization control is to seek a combination of d and q-axis current components, which provides minimum losses at a certain operating point in steady state. The control performance of the proposed controller is evaluated by analysis for various operating conditions. Analysis results are presented to show the validity of the proposed algorithm.

  • 본 논문은 차량용 에어컨 압축기가 실차 연비에 미치는 영향에 대하여 실험적으로 연구한 것으로, 본 연구의 목적은 연비에 주요한 영향 인자인 압축기의 토출 용량별 구동 토크에 의한 실차 연비 기여도를 분석하는 것이다. 연비에 직접적인 영향을 주는 압축기의 부하를 측정하기 위하여 압축기 클러치에 직접 부착하는 토크 센서를 개발하였으며, 실차 평가전 벤치 토크 미터와의 비교 평가를 통하여 토크 센서의 신뢰성을 검증하였다. 토크 센서가 부착된 압축기를 장착한 차량을 환경 풍동에서 연비 측정을 할 수 있도록 장치를 구성한 상태에서 연비 평가를 수행하였다. 압축기의 토출 용량에 따른 구동 토크는 연비에 직접적인 영향을 주며, 동일 사양 압축기에서 토출 용량이 약 11% 커질 때 연비는 약 2~3% 악화됨을 알 수 있었다.
