  • Free from the industrial accident is the goal from top manager to foreman. Therefore all the company try to prevent occupational accident using system safety program in order to increase productivity Korean industries have been tend to depending upon historical information to control risk. The other hand, foreign industries have been Identify risk factors using system safety techniques to predict future risk. Therefore, this study is presented to applying the foreign industries's risk control technique to korean industries.

  • In case of Korea, the entire volume of TFT-LCD Top Chassis was previously imported from Japan. However, Se-jong Hitech in Korea has successfully introduced the mass production system using domestic technology, and even in terms of quality, cost and the delivery timing, the production capability of Korea now becomes superior to that of Japan. Se-jong Hitech has grown to be the most competitive one in the domestic market in Korea, and the current market share of the firm was turned out to be more than 70%. There reasons for the success of Se-jong Hitech might be the effort for fully credible relationship with the large corporations, the effective use of catch-up strategy, the core competence and the manager's business midset, etc.

  • Poor safety management in construction management may adversely affect cost, schedule and quality of a project. Heavy fines upon safety offence becomes a burden to the budget; losing working hours as a result of safety incident impacts on the schedule, and compromising quality is always an indirect consequence when workers perform duties in an unsafe site environment. Therefore, promotion of safety management becomes the top priority in any construction manager's agenda. Working safely will benefit construction project and lead to a "real" success. This paper is a case study, based upon "Geller's 10 principles for achieving a total safety culture", reviewing how a Hong Kong leading construction company fosters the safety culture and possesses a pleasant safety record over years. Its safety performance is not only well ahead the local industry, but also ranges top within the Asia Pacific region and comparable to those mature Western industries. The review concluded that safety culture is one of the major components in construction management and collaboration is the essence to realize this positive culture within an organization. Safety management is not merely a "top down" approach, but requires the positive "bottom up" actions from the other end. The successful story of this company can demonstrate the contribution of safety management in construction management.

책임운영기관 성과평가 제도와 운영 효과성 간의 연계성에 대한 연구: 지방 통계청 공무원들의 인식을 중심으로 (A Study on the Relationship between Performance Evaluation System and Managerial Effectiveness of Responsible Administrative Agency: Focus on the Perception of Pulbic Employees in Local Statistics Offices)

  • 본 연구는 정부 내 조직 관리상 자율성 증진 및 성과 중심 관리를 위하여 현재 운영 중인 책임운영기관에 대한 평가제도와 운영 효과 간 연계성에 대하여 살펴보았다. 이를 위하여 책임운영기관 중 지방통계청 공무원 510명을 대상으로 평가제도 운영에 대한 의사소통, 평가지표의 타당성, 기관장의 관심, 평가결과의 활용, 평가과정의 투명성, 책임운영기관 제도 운용상 효과성에 대한 설문 조사를 시행하였다. 구조방정식 분석결과에 의하면 평가지표의 타당성과 기관장 관심이 높을수록 평가결과의 활용과 평가과정의 투명성에 긍정적인 효과를 주며 제도운영에 효과성 또한 높게 인식하였다. 하지만 의사소통의 경우 평가 과정상 투명성에는 긍정적인 효과를 주었으나, 평가결과의 활용에는 효과가 나타나지 않았다. 이러한 연구결과는 책임운영기관 평가제도의 운영에 있어서 평가와 관련된 조직 내의 의사소통에 대한 고려가 필요하다는 점을 확인하였다는 데 의미가 있다.

M&A 과정에서 직급별로 인지하는 조직정치와 이직 의도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Organizational Politics and Turnover Intention by Position in the Mergers and Acquisitions)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the organizational politics, resistance change, turnover intention, and organizational commitment of organizational members during mergers and acquisitions. Recently, many companies are interested in mergers and acquisitions for business diversification and market extension. A merger is a legal consolidation of two entities into one, whereas an acquisition occurs when one entity takes ownership of another entity's stock, equity interests, or assets. This research model establishes a structural equation model. This model is set in a causal relationship between manager's organizational politics, peer organizational politics, and change resistance and the change resistance has a causal relationship of turnover and tissue immersion. In particular, this study will test different of organizational politics by position. Research results, the organizational politics of managers and colleagues have shown increasing change resistance. The change resistance has resulted in a reduction of organizational commitment and an increase of turnover intention. Next, the position analysis showed that top management level, middle management level, and working-level officials showed different organizational politics. The working-level officials are influenced by their manager politics and are influenced in organizational commitment and turnover intention by change resistance. The middle manager level is influenced by the organizational politics of bosses and colleagues, and organizational commitment is weakened by change resistance. The CEO level is not affected by organizational politics in the company, but the turnover intention is strengthened and the organizational commitment is weakened by the change resistance. This study has contributed to further updating the theory of organizational politics based on mergers and acquisitions. As a practical implication, we suggest an organizational integration strategy for a new organization.

수간호사의 역할인식과 간호사의 수간호사에 대한 역할기대 연구(대학부속병원과 일반종합병원의 비교) (Comparative Study on Head Nurses간 Role Perception to own Role and Staff Nurses간 Role Expectation to their Head Nurse between University Hospitals and General Hospitals)

  • The organization of nursing department Significantly effects the hospital management. Especially, The head nurse is one of the most important position because head nurse is a first-line manager in the hospital level, a middle manager in nursing service organizations level and the top manager in each nursing unit level. This study was attempted to show the ideal model and nile by compare head nurses' role perception with staff nurses' role expectation according to two types of hospital. The survey was conducted among 94 head nurses and 233 staff nurses who are working at 5 different University Hospitals over 600 beds and 93 head nurses and 218 staff nurses Who are working at 12 different General Hospitals between 100∼300 beds in Seoul. The data was collected in a period from 8th September to 13th October in 1989 and the instrument used for this study was based on Han's one and reffered back to many literary sources and revised. The collected data was analysed by computer using S.P.S.S. program as a Mean, Percentage, Cronbach's alpha, Chi-Square, t-test and ANOVA. 1. The study was compared to the difference of the two subject group's general characteristics according to a type of hospital. As a relult, there were significant differences in age, educational background and career. 2. This Study was compared to the difference of the two subject group's role perception and role expection about each question according to a type of hospital. The result of this comparisons as follows : First, These were the most important issue between both groups : “Head nurse has to know about her staff's events and problems and then help them to solve that promptly.” Second, These were the least important issue between both groups : “Head nurse has an interview with patient's family and visitors”, “Head nurse is interested in her staff's privacy.” 3. This study was compared to the differences of each role areas according to a type of hospital. As a result, there were no significant differences both two subject groups except nursing manager role in staff nurses' group(t=-2.893, df=449.0, p=0.004). 4. This study was tested to the difference of the two subject groups according to general characteristics. As a result, All of that there were no significant differences.

  • Comparing two pharmaceutical companies which one is adopted a leading-edge information technology for years but the other is still operated by the traditional business styles. This study presented the power of the importance of information technology for improving business foundation for improving business foundation and the top manager have to control the resources of information technology more efficiently for rapid enterprise growth. Information technology adoptions should be considered as an assessing models which could performance the effects of user satisfaction productivity, performance and concentration on the job. The study results revealed that positive attitude toward usage and perceived behavioral control on information technology and helped more other than specific elements in the business. All the outcomes positively related to attitudes toward usage of information technology and its devices.

  • 본 논문에서는 ATM 교환기 TMN EMS의 성능 분석을 위한 큐잉 모델을 제시한다. ATM교환기 관리를 위한 TMN 시스템은 관리자, 대행자, ATM교환기 등이 계층적인 구조로 이루어져 있다. 관리자는 여러개의 대행자와 통신하며, 대행자는 ATM 교환기의 관리 기능을 대행한다. 우리는 EMS를 구성하는 관리자의 용량과 성능을 예측하기 위하여 큐잉 모델을 정의하였다. 이 모델을 통하여 EMS의 평균 서비스 시간과 용량을 예측할 수 있다.

  • Many government agents are willing to provide better service to citizen via information technologies. This is called e-Government, and it needs a CMS to manage numerous contents. However, a CMS doesn't manage contents from the viewpoint of quality. In this research, the QCMS the system to manage contents by using information resource registry, is proposed. Information resource registry includes a flow chart and four matrices. Behavioral patterns of organizations and contents can be got from information resource registry. It makes a top manager understand the state of the business and make proper strategic decisions. The strategies can improve the business. Through the case of a public enterprise, we examine how the QCMS works and makes strategies from behavioral patterns of organizations and contents.

  • SE generally defines approaching ways of conducting identification, verification and integration of an optimized product and process solution to meet customer's needs by leveraging organizational competency in engineering and management. To successfully develop a new product under mass production contract, it is important to efficiently carry out the program by ensuring that three major competencies are secured; core technology, system integration, and program management. For successful implementation of tasks in the three areas, systematic execution is called for, which requires identifying risk factors in advance. In particular, comprehensive risk management role and responsibility is required for program management. Success of a development program is determined by complex elements of human resources, organization culture, and overall competency of an organization in technology and program management, including capability of the program manager. In this paper, a risk management solution is suggested to lead a program to success with a more efficient way through actual risk management by the concept of SE around the above three areas.
