파인 블랭킹 금형의 V-링 위치 및 다이 챔퍼 형상이 다이 롤 높이에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험 연구 (An experimental study on the effect of V-ring position and die chamfer shape on the die roll height in fine blanking tool)

  • 기어의 파인 블랭킹에서 기능면으로 사용되는 전단면(잇 면)을 최대한 확보하기 위하여 다이 롤 높이(die roll height)의 최소화는 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 파인 블랭킹 금형의 핵심 설계 요소인 V-링 위치와 다이 챔퍼(die chamfer) 형상에 따라 기어의 다이 롤 높이 변화를 고찰하기 위하여 V-링 거리와 다이 챔퍼 형상이 다른 여러가지 다이 편 및 가이드 플레이트 편으로 구성된 파인 블랭킹 금형 세트를 제작하여 실험하였다. 각 실험으로부터 시편을 채취하여 다이 롤 높이를 측정 분석한 결과 파인 블랭킹 기어의 다이 롤 높이는 각 모듈에서 다이 챔퍼 각도가 증가함에 따라 증가하고 V-링 거리가 증가함에 따라 증가됨을 알 수 있었다.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the resulting root canal angulation and shape change after using various enlarging instruments. The mesial canals (120) of extracted human mandibular 1st and 2nd molars were randomly divided into 6 groups; Control, K-type me, Heliapical me, Canal Master me, sonic and ultrasonic instrumentation group. Vertical angulation of each canal was determined by a straight line through the long axis of canal and another straight line through the apical foramen to intersect at the point where the canal began to leave the long axis of the tooth. By recording and comparing the measured angles of the each set of pre-and postinstrumentation. Then, the roots were sectioned horizontally in the apical, middle, coronal thirds and the canal shapes examined, as was the mesiodistal canal diameter as it relates to the external root surface. The results were as follows: 1. Instrumentation using K-type me group resulted in the highest mean change in angulation ($9.900^{\circ}$) (p < 0.005), while Sonic Air MM 3000 group resulted in the least degree of straightening canals ($8.250^{\circ}$) (p < 0.005). 2. Canal Master file group resulted in the best canal shape at the three levels (P < 0.005). 3. Measured minimal mesial root width produced Heliapical me group at the apical 1/3 level, Sonic Air MM 3000 group at the middle 1/3 level, Heliapical me group at the coronal 1/3 level (P < 0.005). 4. Measured minimal distal root width produced Sonic Air MM 3000 group at the apical 1/3 level (P < 0.05), Heliapical me group at the middle 1/3 level (P < 0.005), Canal Master me group at the coronal 1/3 level (P < 0.005). 5. HeIiapical me group produced more increased canal diameter than any other groups (P < 0.005).

삼차원 조도관의 압력손실 및 열전달 성능에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Pressure Drop and Heat Transfer Performance in Tubes with Three Dimensional Roughness)

  • In this study, pressure drop and heat transfer coefficients were measured in tubes with three dimensional roughness. Dimples were made by rotating the saw-tooth shaped finning disc on the outer tube surface. Resultant dimple shape was oval. Friction and heat transfer tests were performed with a range of roughness variables-roughness height 'e', axial roughness pitch 'p', circumferential roughness pitch 'z'. Within the test range, tube with e=0.5mm, z=5mm, p=3mm performed best. The efficiency ratio(rati of the heat transfer improvement and the pressure drop increase) of the tube approached 1.0 at low Reynolds number, and it was higher than that of the two-dimensional roughess tube of the same roughness height. Test data were predicted by 'discrete element method'. Results show that discrete element method underpredicts the friction data by 2% to 32%, and overpredicts the heat transfer data by-12% to 113%.

  • As one of the developmental disturbances in shape of teeth, an accessory root may involve any teeth, but has very rare frequency in the deciduous teeth. Because it is possible to diagnose the accessory root only by use of the radiographs, it is important to detect this root early by carefully examining the radiographs. The accessory root produces several problems such as abnormal exfoliation of deciduous teeth, eruption abnormality of successive permanent teeth, infection due to residual root during tooth extraction, and incomplete pulp treatment, and therefore it is necessary to have a continuous follow check-up to prevent these problems.

  • In this study, a numeric model for the prediction of ideal surface roughness in the rounded end mill was derived from the shape of the tool and feed per tooth. The model is compared with the well-known model of a ball and flat end mill. The ideal surface roughness was matched to the actual surface roughness by the linear equation, from which the empirical constant should be gathered from the test machining systems in the industry.

  • Cam rack pinion (CRP) system which consists of cam rack and roller pinion transforms the rotation motion into linear one. The roller pinion has the plurality of rollers and meshes with its conjugated cam rack. The exact tooth profile of the cam rack and the non-undercut condition to satisfy the required performance have been proposed by introducing the profile shift coefficient. The load stress factors are investigated by varying the shape design parameters to predict the gear surface fatigue limit which is strongly related to the gear noise and vibration at the contact patch. The results show that the pitting life can be extended significantly by increasing the profile shift coefficient.

  • This paper is the study on stress analysis of spur gear using a finite element method. Gear drives constitute very important mechanisms in transmitting mechanical power processes compromising several cost effective and engineering advantages. The load transmission occurred by the contacting surfaces arises variable elastic deformations which are being evaluated through finite element analysis. The automatic gear design program is developed to model gear shape precisely. This gear design system developed was used by pre-processor of FEM packages. The distribution of stresses at contacting surfaces was examined when a pair of gear contact.

  • The sub­surface stress field beneath the gear's contact surface caused by the contact pressure in lubricated condition has been calculated. To evaluate the influence of the clearance shape on the stress field, two kinds of tooth profile models were chosen. One is the conventional cylinder contact model and the other is the new numerical model. Love's rectangular patch solution was used to obtain the sub­surface stress field. The analysis results show that the sub­surface stress is quite dependent on both the contact pressure and the profile model. The maximum effective stress of the new model is lower than that of the old model. The depth where the maximum effective stress occurs in the new model is not proportional to the intensity of the external load.

  • The cold precision forging of spur gears has been researched, and the effects of relief-hole shape and forging process on the spur gears forming has been analyzed. The results present that the forging load decreases when a suitability diameter of relief-hole is chosen, but the function is not obvious. The spur gears precision forging method with an adjustable movement of concave mould can benefit both the top and the bottom comers forming of the spur gears, full fill the tooth cavity, and decrease the forging load.

Study on Profile Generation of Conjugate Plate Cams for a Roller Gear Cam Mechanism

  • A roller gear cam mechanism is presented. It consists of two or more plate cams with particular teeth, called Conjugate Cam Tooth (CCT) and a turret with axially located rollers. A practical and available configuration has been found out by synthesizing its parameters. The profile equations of the conjugate cam are derived by using a relative velocity method. A program fur the design automation of shape of the conjugate cam and the motion simulation of this kind of mechanism has been deve1oped using the derived formulae with C++ language. Finally, an example is given.
