These experiments were made in order to compare the productivity of various varieties of F$_1$silkworm eggs imported from foreign sericultural countries with the productivity of some F$_1$silkworm eggs varieties produced by Turkey. The results are summarized as follows: 1. In the durations of whole instar, it lasted 30∼38 days under natural rearing conditions but Jam 107${\times}$Jam 105 about 30 days. 2. Cocoon yield per case of silkworm eggs was shown significantly among the varieties. Thaiei ${\times}$ Choan was the highest yield of cocoon, followed by Isonzo, Piave, M-198, M${\times}$N, S${\times}$P, J${\times}$C and Jam 107${\times}$Jam 108 in that order. 3. In the percentage of cocoon shell, M-197 was the highest and other varieties were almost on the same level of cocoon shell, but Jam 107${\times}$ Jam 108 was the lowest percentage. 4. In the weight of a cocoon, Choan${\times}$Thaiei was the heaviest, followed by S${\times}$P, C${\times}$J, M${\times}$N, M-197, Piave, Livenzo and Jam 107${\times}$Jam 108 in that order. 5. In the raw silk percentage of fresh cocoon, Choan${\times}$Thaiei, 3 Italian varieties and Turkish M${\times}$N. C${\times}$J belonged to the first group of better raw silk percentage, followed Polish M-197 and Jam 107${\times}$1am 108 in that order.

To estimate microbial contaminant loading discharged from diffuse sources, rainfall runoff of six rainfall events were monitored at three study watersheds of forestry and agricultural land use. Monitored indicator microorganism constituents were total coliform (TC), fecal coliform (FC), Escherichia coli (EC), and fecal streptococcus (FS). Soil loss during elevated flow rate caused higher suspended solid concentrations. Indicator microorganism concentrations were closely related with flow rate. TC event mean concentration (EMC) from unpolluted forestry was $5.3{\times}10^3CFU/100ml$, FC EMC was $1.4{\times}10^3CFU/100ml$, EC EMC was $1.1{\times}10^3CFU/100ml$, and FS EMC was $2.9{\times}10^2CFU/100ml$. From a watershed with agricultural-forestry land use, TC EMC was $1.7{\times}10^5CFU/100ml$, FC EMC was $8.5{\times}10^4CFU/100ml$, EC EMC was $8.9{\times}10^4CFU/100ml$, and FS EMC was $3.4{\times}10^4CFU/100ml$. Mixed land use of agricultural-forestry with bigger area, TC EMC was $1.9{\times}10^5CFU/100ml$, FC EMC was $9.6{\times}10^4CFU/100ml$, EC EMC was $7.0{\times}10^4CFU/100ml$, and FS EMC was $5.1{\times}10^4CFU/100ml$.
This paper proposes a unified $4{\times}4$ transform architecture for HEVC and VP9 codec to reduce hardware size. It performs HEVC $4{\times}4$ IDCT, HEVC $4{\times}4$ IDST, VP9 $4{\times}4$ IDCT, and VP9 $4{\times}4$ IADST in a unified hardware. HEVC $4{\times}4$ IDCT and VP9 $4{\times}4$ IDCT have same IDCT computation except for the scales of coefficients. Similarly, HEVC $4{\times}4$ IDST and VP9 $4{\times}4$ IADST have same IDST computation except for the scales of coefficients. Furthermore, IDCT and IDST have quite a lot of similarity, so they can share some hardwares in common. So the proposed hardware performs all 4 operations in a unified hardware, where each operation has its own multiplication coefficients with shared butterfly adders. The synthesized block in 0.18 um technology is 6,679 gates, and the gate count is reduced by 25.3% in comparison with conventional designs.

An experiment was initiated to evaluate hybrid vigour in twelve F$_1$ hybrids and seven three-way crosses of multivoltine ${\times}$ bivoltine silkworm between newly evolved multivoltine breed BL67 with productive bivoltine CSR breeds and hybrids. Analysis of variances computed for different characters among F$_1$hybrids and three-way crosses showed highly significant differences among them indicating presence of both additive and non-additive gene actions for the expression of these characters. Among twelve F$_1$ hybrids, two F$_1$ hybrids viz., BL67${\times}$CSR$_4$and BL67${\times}$CSR$_{5}$ have expressed significant heterosis for nine characters and two hybrids viz., BL67${\times}$NB$_4$D$_2$and PM${\times}$NB$_4$D$_2$ for eight characters whereas out of nine three-way crosses, three hybrids viz., BL67${\times}$ (CSR$_3$${\times}$CSR$_{6}$), BL67${\times}$(CSR$_{16}$${\times}$CRS$_{17}$) and BL67${\times}$(CSR$_{18}$${\times}$CSR$_{19}$) expressed significant heterosis for eight characters. In the present study, it is observed that the cocoons of two hybrids viz., BL67${\times}$CSR$_4$and BL67${\times}$CSR$_{19}$ were found to be uniform as these hybrids showed lowest CV% (5.35 and 5.38) among twelve F$_1$ hybrids and seven three way crosses between multivoltine ${\times}$ bivoltine hybrids. Four F$_1$ hybrids viz., BL67${\times}$CSR$_4$, BL67${\times}$CSR$_{5}$, BL67${\times}$ (CSR$_3$${\times}$CSR$_{6}$), BL67${\times}$(CSR$_{16}$${\times}$CRS$_{17}$) and BL67${\times}$(CSR$_{18}$${\times}$CSR$_{19}$) showed superiority in expressing hybrid vigour and are considered as best heterotic hybrids for commercial exploitation.ion.ation.ion.ation.ion.

Instructions for the commutative property of multiplication at elementary schools tend to be based on checking the equality between the quantities of 'a times b 'and b' times a, ' for example, $3{\times}4=12$ and $4{\times}3=12$. This article critically examined the approaches to teach the commutative property of multiplication from Kant's perspective of mathematical knowledge. According to Kant, mathematical knowledge is a priori. Yet, the numeric exploration by checking the equality between the amounts of 'a groups of b' and 'b groups of a' does not reflect the nature of apriority of mathematical knowledge. I suggest we teach the commutative property of multiplication in a way that it helps reveal the operational schema that is necessarily and generally involved in the transformation from the structure of 'a times b' to the structure of 'b times a.' Distributive reasoning is the mental operation that enables children to perform the structural transformation for the commutative property of multiplication by distributing a unit of one quantity across the other quantity. For example, 3 times 4 is transformed into 4 times 3 by distributing each unit of the quantity 3, which results in $3{\times}4=(1+1+1){\times}4=(1{\times}4)+(1{\times}4)+(1{\times}4)+(1{\times}4)=4+4+4=4{\times}3$. It is argued that the distributive reasoning is also critical in learning the subsequent mathematics concepts, such as (a whole number)${\times}10$ or 100 and fraction concept and fraction multiplication.

Assessing bioequivalence between original drug and generic drug is traditionally based on $2{\times}2$ crossover design. As bioequivalence trials for highly variable drugs are getting popular, the required sample size based on $2{\times}2$ crossover design would be very large, which might cause the ethical concerns. Regulatory agencies like EMA and MFDS recommended higher order crossover designs such as $2{\times}4$, $4{\times}2$ and $4{\times}4$ crossover designs. Alternatively, a $2{\times}3$ dual design may be recommended in terms of economical and ethical points of view in comparison with the $2{\times}4$ crossover design for highly variable drug. In this study, we consider some statistical characteristics of $2{\times}3$ dual design and propose statistical procedures for calculating sample size and assessing bioequivalence based on $2{\times}3$ dual design. We also discuss the proposed procedures from the perspective of newly revised bioequivalence guidance issued by MFDS.
Simple recurrence relations for calculating completion times of various storage polices (unlimited, intermediate storages(FIS), finite intermediate storages(FIS), no intermediate storage(NIS), zero wait(ZW) for serial multi-product multi-unit processes are suggested. Not only processing times but also transfer times, set-up (clean-up) times of units and set-up times of storages are considered. Optimal scheduling strategies with zero transfer times and zero set-up times had been developed as a mixed integer linear programniing(MILP) formulation for several intermediate storage policies. In this paper those with non-zero transfer times, non-zero set-up times of units and set-up times of storages are newly proposed as a mixed integer nonlinear programming(MINLP) formulation for various storage polices (UIS, NIS, FIS, and ZW). Several examples are tested to evaluate the robustness of this strategy and reasonable computation times.
Recently, GIS(Geographic Information System) is used to extract various hydrological factors from DEM(Digital Elevation Model) in river basin. Therefore, this study aims at the determination of river fractal dimension using DEM. In this paper, the main-stream length in river basin was grid-analyzed for each scale(1/5,000, 1/25,000, 1/50,000) and each cell size(5m$\times$5m, l0m$\times$l0m, 20m$\times$20m, 30m$\times$30m, 40m$\times$40m, 50m$\times$50m, 60m$\times$60m, 70m$\times$70m, 80m$\times$80m, 90m$\times$90m, 100m$\times$l00m, 120m$\times$120m, 150m$\times$150m) using GIS. Also, fractal dimension was derived by analyzing correlation among main-stream lengths, scale, and cell size which were calculated here. The result of calculating fractal dimension for each cell size shows that the fractal dimension on the main-stream length is 1.028.

High Strength Concrete (HSC) has weakness that in a fire, it is spalled and brittles. The phenomenon of spalling is made by water vapor's being confined in watertight concrete. This study is aimed to evaluate explosive spalling properties of high strength concrete with ${\square}100{\times}100{\times}200$ mm specimen and ${\square}400{\times}400{\times}1500$ mm column. To prevent spalling of concrete, fireproof coating and PP fiber are used. As a result, ${\square}400{\times}400{\times}1500$ mm column was prevented spalling likes ${\times}100{\times}100{\times}200$ mm specimen. When concrete protected failure to explosive spalling, quantity heat ratio (which fireproof coating specimen to pp fiber mixed specimen) between ${\square}100{\times}100{\times}200$ mm and ${\square}400{\times}400{\times}1500$ mm was maximum value at 20 minute, but difference of quantity heat ratio decreased and quantity heat ratio of each specimen is almost same at 30 minute.
In this study, twelve of Lepista nuda were collected from various localities in Korea. Also thirteen exotic L. nuda species were collected from Japan, France, Switzerland and Portugal. Spores were isolated under optical microscope. These spores were placed on the surface of YM medium for inducing to germination. Eleven mating-groups were selected by morphological characters of fruit body such as size, color and stipe patterns. Intra-isolate crosses were made between two single-spore isolates derived from mating-groups. Also, dikaryotic crossing using the isolates from L. nuda were carried out to evaluated tetrakaryon formation. Cross-mating compatibility tests also verified its dikaryotic state by microscopic or molecular genetic observation of clamp connection and Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) band pattern. To analyze the growth rate of hybrids and parents mycelium in dikaryons obtained from compatible mating groups were placed on PDA medium. Intra-isolate crosses determined eleven mating-groups within L. nuda. The typical clamp connection were mostly observed in mating-groups of Korean L. nuda in $K1{\times}K2$, $K1{\times}K3$, $K1{\times}K4$, $K1{\times}K6$, $K1{\times}K5$, $K2{\times}K4$, $K2{\times}K3$, $K2{\times}K6$, $K3{\times}K4$, $K4{\times}K5$, and $K4{\times}K6$. Korean L. nuda type of dikaryon, shown to cross-incompatibility with L. sordida, it seemed that mating induce more rapidly than wild types in a view of growth rate. In conclusion, it would be useful to improve mass production with better morphological characteristics through a special mating of L. nuda.
