The dietary fiber contents of soybean sprout and spinach were changed by heat treatment. Before heat treatment, soybean sprout and spinach had larger amount of insoluble dietary fiber than soluble, and similar proportions of insoluble v/s soluble dietary fibers. After heat treatment, the value of insoluble dietary fiber of soybean sprout and spinach was increased significantly, except for microwave heating short time treatment. It is believed that the increment of insoluble dietary fiber is due to Maillard reaction products and resistant starch after heat treatment. The change of soluble dietary fiber contents of soybean sprout and spinach were not consistent in heat treatment. It is supposed that some soluble dietary fiber was destroyed by heat treatment, and some insoluble dietary fiber was hydrolysed or destroyed to be soluble. Total dietary fiber of soybean sprout and spinach was significantly incereased by all heat treatment, except for microwave heating short time of spinach.
To treat certain wastewater that has alcohol and phenol, we performed the ozone electrolysis by using the titanium electrode. In this experiment, we examined decomposition voltage of organics, time for electrolysis, and removal efficiency of organics. In addition we compared the ozone oxidation electrolysis. The followings are results; 1. When it comes to the alcohol treatment in wastewater, ozone electrolysis showed higher removal efficiency than ozone oxidation or electrolysis. 2. After comparing the decomposition rate of methylalcohol, ethylalcohol, and prophylalcohol in ozone electrolysis, we knew the fact that increasing carbon number made the decomposition rate slow. 3. According to the treatment of alcohol by ozone electrolysis, decomposition voltage was 50V, time for electrolysis was three hours, and treatment acidity was neutral (pH 6.5 - 8.1). 4. Ozone electrolysis was effective to the phenol treatment. When we treated phenol by using ozone electrolysis for three hours, TOC treatment efficiency was 95%. However, ozone oxidation just showed 45% treatment efficiency.
This study was aimed to estimate removal efficiency(%) of BER(Biofilm-Electrode Reactor) and A.S(Activated Sludge) treatments. When were analyzed COD$_{Cr}$, NH$_3$-N and T-P by current density and reaction time, the results were as follows : 1) In BER treatment, the removal efficiency of COD$_{Cr}$ in domestic wastewater was 79-86% when current density was 2.39 mA/dm$2$(15mA)-3.98 mA/dm$^2$(25mA) and reaction time was 48 hr. 2) Removal efficiency of NH$_3$-N was 71-73% when current density was 2.39-3.98 mA/dm$^2$ and reaction time 48 hr. 3) When the reaction time was 48 hr removal efficiency(%) of BER treatment for COD$_{Cr}$, NH$_3$-N and T-P were more excellent than A.S. treatment. And then we prospect that was because activated microorganism colonies attached in biofilm on surface of electrode pannel. Therefore, In order to derive BER treatment efficiency(%) should establish optimum conditions of pH, temp., reaction time, current density and biochemical and electrochemical states.
In this research, split-type complex yarn of 20:80, 40:60, 50:50 nylon6/polyester composition ratio was used in order to impose unique sense on split-type complex woven. After treating both split-type complex yarn of each ratio and its produced woven in alkali solution, we got the following results by checking physical properties based on alkali proportion and treatment time. Under the condition of NaOH 20% in this experiment, it took approximately double time 20% loss of weight. The loss of weight became high when polyester proportion of N/P(nylon6/polyester) composition ratio was low, in the same fineness yarn. Even though polyester proportion was low, the loss of weight was low when the fineness was high. N/P division was well processed at about 25% loss of weight under the condition of NaOH 20%, treatment temperature $50^{\circ}C$, and treatment time 60 minutes. The research provides that the loss of weight should be processed around treatment time 24 hours in the case of NaOH concentration 15%, and treatment time 15 hours in the case of NaOH concentration 18%, respectively, in order to achieve N/P woven division ratio of about 70%-80% in industrial fields.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of spherodizing heat treatment holding time on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the accelerated cooling-treated API X70 steel, which is mainly used as a structural material for line pipe steel for natural gas pipes. The accelerated cooling-treated API X70 steel was spherodizing treated at 700℃ for 12~48 h. The microstructure was observed using an OM and a FEG-SEM, and mechanical properties were obtained by tensile test. The microstructure of the API X70 steel was banded in the hot rolling direction, and the polygonal ferrite(PF) adjacent to pearlite(P) has mainly a fine size, and coarse PF and fine acicular ferrite were formed in the middle of P and P. As the spherodizing treatment time increased, the number of carbide particles decreased and its distribution interval increased, and the ferrite grain size was coarsened. The tensile strength decreased and the ductility increased with spherodizing treatment time, and the yield point elongation was disappeared in a stress-strain curve after the spherodizing treatment.
These studies were conducted to investigate the biological effects of buprofezin 25% WP on the adult of the brown planthopper (BPH) and its control effects on the BPH population, when buprofezin was treated on different days after the introduction of the BPH adult to the potted rice. Also age structures of the BPH population at the time of buprofezin treatment were observed. The results were as follows: Buprofezin (7.0 g a.i./l0 a) could reduce the longevity and fecundity of the newly emerged female but did not affect the biology of older female, and it did not affect the biology of the male. The larval densities at the time of buprofezin treatment was reduced to nearly zero after treatment. The higher the residual effect and the proportion of larvae at the time of buprofezin treatment were, the higher its con¬trol effect on the BPH population was. In case of buprofezin 7.0 g a.i./l0a treatment, the time interval of treatment that could show the highest control effect was about 10 days (from 18 days after the adult introduction to the adult emergence days of next generation).
Previous research has indicated that radish powder could be a suitable replacement for chemical nitrite sources in alternatively cured meat products. However, the effects of radish powder level on the physicochemical properties of cured meat have not been systematically studied. In this study, we aimed to investigate the effects of varying concentrations of radish powder and incubation time on the physicochemical properties and cured meat pigments of alternatively cured meat products. We divided our experimental setup into seven groups with different radish powder concentrations and incubation times: control (0.01% sodium nitrite), treatment 1 (0.15% radish powder and 2 h incubation), treatment 2 (0.15% radish powder and 4 h incubation), treatment 3 (0.30% radish powder and 2 h incubation), treatment 4 (0.30% radish powder and 4 h incubation), treatment 5 (0.30% celery powder and 2 h incubation), and treatment 6 (0.30% celery powder and 4 h incubation). The cooking yield, CIE a* values (redness), and total pigment levels were not significantly different (p > 0.05) between any of the alternatively cured treatments and the control. However, when 0.30% radish powder or celery powder was added to the products, the CIE b* values increased significantly (p < 0.05) with incubation time. At the same vegetable concentration, the nitrite content, nitrosyl hemochrome, and curing efficiency also increased significantly (p < 0.05) as the incubation time increased from 2 to 4 h, regardless of the types of vegetable powder. Among the meat products cured with radish powder, treatment 4 showed the highest increase in residual nitrite content, nitrosyl hemochrome content, and curing efficiency, but showed decreased lipid oxidation. Our results suggest that increased concentrations of radish powder and longer incubation times would be more suitable for producing alternatively cured meat products comparable to traditionally cured products treated with synthetic nitrite.
Increasing occupational cerebrovascular & cardiovascular disease, it becomes the most serious problem in the occupational health management. Hypertension is the most important risk factor of cerebrovascular & cardiovascular disease. Although treatment for hypertension has the priority, hypertension has not been managed systematically at the worksite. The objectives of this study were to investigate the actual situation of its treatment, figure out what factors can affect compliance for hypertension treatment and analyze the relations between compliance and employment status. Subjects were 28 workers who have been diagnosed as hypertension at periodic health examination, 20 workers who have been managed for hypertension at dispensary and 22 workers who were diagnosed during the study periods. The results of the study were as follows; 1. More women have been hired as part time workers and had lower education background and income than the full time workers. 2. Among the factors that have been known to affect the treatment compliance, part time workers had less supports from the company than full time workers. 3. We got the comparison of difference between compliance and variables that the factor grade of cure promotion and average ages are high in high compliance. In conclusion there were not the difference of compliance by employment status. But it was hard to rule out the selection vias because the sample size was so small. So it seems difficult to generalized the conclusion that employment status doesn't affect the treatment compliance.

The Ag thin film of YBCO (yttrium barium copper oxide) CC (coated conductor) protect the YBCO layer and, at the same time, affects the electrical characteristics of the YBCO CC. Therefore, YBCO CC with the commercialization of the Ag thin film layers makes it easy to establish a process, it can lead to a variety of characteristic changes in YBCO CC. In this paper, plasma surface treatment was carried out to facilitate the deposition of the Ag thin film and the deposition process of YBCO CC. Surface roughness from the test results was increased as the time of the plasma surface treatment increased from 5 to 20 minutes. On the other hand, the surface roughness was decreased for the time of the plasma surface treatment over 20 minutes. Furthermore, after depositing, the increasing of deposit amount and reduced lifting phenomenon showed a similar tendency with the rise time of surface roughness.
This study is related to the surface hardening treatment to spheroidal graphite cast iron for die by using high power diode laser. Laser device used in this experiment is capable of real-time laser power control. This is because the infrared temperature sensor (two color pyrometer) attached to the optical system measures the surface temperature of specimen and adjusts the laser power in real time. The surface treatment was carried out with the change of heat treatment temperature at the beam travel speed 3 mm/sec. Hardened width and depth was measured and hardened zone was analyzed by micro vickers hardness test in order to research the optimum condition of heat treatment. The changes in microstructure of the hardened zone also was examined. As a result of hardness measurement and observations on microstructure of hardened zone, hardness increased over three times as compared with base metal because the martensite was formed on the matrix structure.
