We present a low-density parity-check (LDPC)-based, threaded layered space-time-frequency system with emphasis on the iterative receiver design. First, the unbiased minimum mean-squared-error iterative-tree-search (U-MMSE-ITS) detector, which is known to be one of the most efficient multi-input multi-output (MIMO) detectors available, is improved by augmentation of the partial-length paths and by the addition of one-bit complement sequences. Compared with the U-MMSE-ITS detector, the improved detector provides better detection performance with lower complexity. Furthermore, the improved detector is robust to arbitrary MIMO channels and to any antenna configurations. Second, based on the structure of the iterative receiver, we present a low-complexity belief-propagation (BP) decoding algorithm for LDPC-codes. This BP decoder not only has low computing complexity but also converges very fast (5 iterations is sufficient). With the efficient receiver employing the improved detector and the low-complexity BP decoder, the proposed system is a promising solution to high-data-rate transmission over selective-fading channels.

This study aims to empirically confirm the effect and impact of community care design research centered on domestic space and environment on health promotion, diagnosis treatment, disease management, rehabilitation, and mitigation through the year of publication and perspective. To this end, based on 1,227 space and environment design studies from 2,144 community care design research data conducted for about 20 years from 2002 to 2022, when care services began in earnest through the long-term care system for the elderly, SPSS 26.0 was used to create a 'Multi-layer Perceptron' artificial neural network structure model was predicted and neural network analysis was performed. Research Results First, as a result of checking studies in each field of health care by year, there is a significant difference with the number of studies related to health promotion being the highest. Second, the five perspectives are region, time, dimension, function, and content perspective. As a result of inputting these variables as independent variables and analyzing their importance in the artificial neural network, the function perspective had the most influence, followed by the region > content > dimension > time perspective.
The detector subsystem of the Optical Wide-field Patrol (OWL) network efficiently acquires the position and time information of moving objects such as artificial satellites through its chopper system, which consists of 4 blades in front of the CCD camera. Using this system, it is possible to get more position data with the same exposure time by changing the streaks of the moving objects into many pieces with the fast rotating blades during sidereal tracking. At the same time, the time data from the rotating chopper can be acquired by the time tagger connected to the photo diode. To analyze the orbits of the targets detected in the image data of such a system, a sequential procedure of determining the positions of separated streak lines was developed that involved calculating the World Coordinate System (WCS) solution to transform the positions into equatorial coordinate systems, and finally combining the time log records from the time tagger with the transformed position data. We introduce this procedure and the preliminary results of the application of this procedure to the test observation images.
The purpose of establishing GPS networks of continuously operating reference stations (CORS) is aimed to assist land surveying or crustal deformation in the early stage. However, with a fast evolving and improving path the GPS technique has been extended to accurately measure atmospheric precip itable water vapor as a core objective of many projects developed in many countries and regions such as the SuomiNet (U.S., UNAVCO), COST716 (European, COST), GEONET (Japan, GSI), ...etc. In this paper, we present the current progress of the being-set-up GPS network in Taiwan whose atmospheric profile observations mainly count on the traditional radiosonde soundings as typically seen in any other part of the world. The GPS data collected from the Taiwan dense GPS network primarily supported by Central Weather Bureau are processed using the Bernese software version 4.2. Precipitable water vapor is then derived with the auxiliary surface meteorological measurements. Time series of precipitable water are examined and analyzed. A focus on the extreme weather cases is shown as an example.

In space based constellation network, users are allowed to enter or leave the network arbitrarily. Hence, the number, identities and transmitted data of active users vary with time and have considerable impacts on the receiver's performance. The so-called problem of multiuser detection means identifying the identity of each active user and detecting the data transmitted by each active user. Traditional methods assume that the number of active users is equal to the maximum number of users that the network can hold. The model of traditional methods are simple and the performance are suboptimal. In this paper a Maximum A Posteriori Probability (MAP) based multiuser detection method is proposed. The proposed method models the activity state of users as Markov chain and transforms multiuser detection into searching optimal path in grid map with BCJR algorithm. Simulation results indicate that the proposed method obtains 2.6dB and 1dB Eb/N0 gains respectively when activity detection error rate and symbol error rate reach 10-3, comparing with reference methods.
In this study we develop a set of solar proton event (SPE) forecast models with NOAA scales by Multi Layer Perceptron (MLP), one of neural network methods, using GOES solar X-ray flare data from 1976 to 2011. Our MLP models are the first attempt to forecast the SPE scales by the neural network method. The combinations of X-ray flare class, impulsive time, and location are used for input data. For this study we make a number of trials by changing the number of layers and nodes as well as combinations of the input data. To find the best model, we use the summation of F-scores weighted by SPE scales, where F-score is the harmonic mean of PODy (recall) and precision (positive predictive value), in order to minimize both misses and false alarms. We find that the MLP models are much better than the multiple linear regression model and one layer MLP model gives the best result.
The optical wide-field patrol network (OWL-Net) is a Korean optical surveillance system that tracks and monitors domestic satellites. In this study, a batch least squares algorithm was developed for optical measurements and verified by Monte Carlo simulation and covariance analysis. Potential error sources of OWL-Net, such as noise, bias, and clock errors, were analyzed. There is a linear relation between the estimation accuracy and the noise level, and the accuracy significantly depends on the declination bias. In addition, the time-tagging error significantly degrades the observation accuracy, while the time-synchronization offset corresponds to the orbital motion. The Cartesian state vector and measurement bias were determined using the OWL-Net tracking data of the KOMPSAT-1 and Cryosat-2 satellites. The comparison with known orbital information based on two-line elements (TLE) and the consolidated prediction format (CPF) shows that the orbit determination accuracy is similar to that of TLE. Furthermore, the precision and accuracy of OWL-Net observation data were determined to be tens of arcsec and sub-degree level, respectively.
We present analysis results of Korean VLBI Network (KVN) four-band data for the highly variable blazar 3C 279. We measured the 22, 43, 86, and 129 GHz flux densities and spectral indices of the source using contemporaneous data taken over 5.6 years. We used the discrete correlation function to investigate correlations between the radio emission properties and those measured in the optical (2 × 1014 - 1.5 × 1015 Hz), X-ray (0.3-10 keV), and gamma-ray (0.1-300 GeV) bands. We found a significant correlation between the radio spectral index and gamma-ray flux without a time delay and interpreted the correlation using an extended jet scenario for blazar emission.

In this paper, we analyze the performance of high data rate wireless personal area network (HDR-WPAN) system using multiple antenna scheme, space-time block code in fading channel. Multiple antenna technique is used to improve the error performance by combining the receive signal through multiple receive antenna. Space-time block code is a space-time diversity scheme which can obtain the maximum space diversity gain and easily implements a ML receiver via a simple process. HDR-WPAN system using space-time block code obtain about 14dB diversity gaint at BER 10$^{-5}$ in multipath fading channel. From the simulation result, We confirm that HDR-WPAN system adopting space-time block code has reliable communication even low power.
OWL-Net (Optical Wide-field patroL Network) is the first space situational awareness facility of its kind in South Korea which consists of five identical 0.5 m wide-field telescopes with 4K by 4K CCDs. The five stations are located in Mongolia, Morocco, Israel, United States, and South Korea. They are being operated in fully autonomous mode with the minimum human intervention. The primary objective of OWL-Net is to track Korean domestic satellites. In addition, it can be possible to conduct time-series photometry of bright solar system objects. We will present the system overview of the OWL-Net telescopes and progress report.
