This paper investigates the dynamic behavior of a simply supported viscoelastic plate made of functionally graded carbon nanotube reinforced composite under dynamic loading. Carbon nanotubes are distributed in 5 different shapes: U, V, A, O and X, depending on the shape they form through the thickness of the plate. The displacement fields are derived in the Laplace domain using a higher-order shear deformation theory. Equations of motion are obtained through the application of the energy method and Hamilton's principle. The resulting equations of motion are solved using Navier's method. Transforming the Laplace domain displacements into the time domain involves Durbin's modified inverse Laplace transform. To validate the accuracy of the developed algorithm, a free vibration analysis is conducted for simply supported plate made of functionally graded carbon nanotube reinforced composite and compared against existing literature. Subsequently, a parametric forced vibration analysis considers the influence of various parameters: volume fractions of carbon nanotubes, their distributions, and ratios of instantaneous value to retardation time in the relaxation function, using a linear standard viscoelastic model. In the forced vibration analysis, the dynamic distributed load applied to functionally graded carbon nanotube reinforced composite viscoelastic plate is obtained in terms of double trigonometric series. The study culminates in an examination of maximum displacement, exploring the effects of different carbon nanotube distributions, volume fractions, and ratios of instantaneous value to retardation times in the relaxation function on the amplitudes of maximum displacements.

The main purpose of this study is to examine the concepts appeared on research and provide future research directions in field of child health nursing. 205 studies of the total 318 studies had been analyzed first for the concepts of the client domain and this time 113 studies were analyzed for the practice, the client-nurse and the environmental domain in nursing. The practice domain includes mentalistitic, enactment, knowledge utilization, role related phenomenon, the client-nurse domain includes touch, communication, interaction phenomenon, and the environmental domain includes physical, social, symbolic environment. All were originally published between 1990 and 2000 in Korea. An analysis of concepts for this study was used the metaparadigm framework for nursing proposed by H. S. Kim(2000). 1. 103 studies belonged to the practice domain. Among them, 56(54%) studies used concepts related to enactment phenomenon like education(21.4%), giving information(7.1%), breast feeding(5.4%), caring(5.4%), airway suction(5.4%), nonnutritive sucking(5.4%). 44(43%) studies used concepts related to knowledge utilization like program development and evaluation of smoking, mother-infant interaction, home health nursing, obesity management. And only 3(3%) studies used role related concepts like quality of nursing, direction of health education, contents of child health nursing education. 2. Only 2(0.006%) studies belonged to the client-nurse domain. One concept is empathy in communication phenomenon and the other concept is role conflict in interaction phenomenon. 3. 8(0.02%) studies belonged to the environmental domain. Among them, 3 studies related to physical environment like space, noise and 5 studies related to social environment like social support, home environment. But the concept of symbolic environment was not used. The findings of this study provide the evidence that research related to the client-nurse domain and the environmental domain should be conducted actively to improve the practice of child health nursing. So that the research in field of child health nursing should be dealt with the concepts of four domains to develop knowledge systematically.
To understand the responses of grapevines in response to cold stress causing the limited growth and development, differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were screened through transcriptome analysis of shoots from 2 grapevine cultivars ('Campbell Early' and 'Muscat Baily A') kept at -$2^{\circ}C$ for 4 days. In gene ontology analysis of DEGs from 'Campbell Early', there were 17,424 clones related with biological process, 28,954 with cellular component, and 6,972 with molecular function genes in response to freezing temperature. The major induced genes included dehydrin xero 1, K-box region and MADS-box transcription factor family protein, and MYB domain protein 36, and inhibited genes included light-harvesting chlorophyll B-binding protein 3, FASCICLIN-like arabinoogalactan 9, and pectin methylesterase 61 in 'Campbell Early' grapevines. In gene ontology analysis of DEGs from 'Muscat Baily A', there were 1,157 clones related with biological process, 1,350 with cellular component, and 431 with molecular function gene. The major induced genes of 'Muscat Baily A' included NB-ARC domain-containing disease resistance protein, fatty acid hydrozylase superfamily, and isopentenyltransferase 3, and inhibited genes included binding, IAP-like protein 1, and pentatricopeptide repeat superfamily protein. All major DEGs were shown to be expressed differentially by freezing temperature in real time-PCR analysis. Protein domain analysis using InterPro Scan revealed that ubiquitin-protein ligase was redundant in both tested grapevines. Transcriptome profile of shoots exposed to cold can provide new insights into the molecular basis of tolerance to low-temperature in grapevines, and can be used as resources for development new grapevines tolerant to coldness.

An analysis method is proposed for the transient linear or nonlinear analysis of dynamic interactions between a flexible dam body and reservoir impounding compressible water under earthquake loadings. The coupled dam-reservoir system consists of three substructures: (1) a dam body with linear or nonlinear behavior; (2) a semi-infinite fluid region with constant depth; and (3) an irregular fluid region between the dam body and far field. The dam body is modeled with linear and/or nonlinear finite elements. The far field is formulated as a displacement-based transmitting boundary in the frequency domain that can radiate energy into infinity. Then the transmitting boundary is transformed for the direct coupling in the time domain. The near field region is modeled as a compressible fluid contained between two substructures. The developed method is verified and applied to various earthquake response analyses of dam-reservoir systems. Also, the method is applied to a nonlinear analysis of a concrete gravity dam. The results show the location and severity of damage demonstrating the applicability to the seismic evaluation of existing and new dams.
Similar to the other known structures of Bacillus thuringiensis Cry $\delta$-endotoxins, the crystal structure of the 65-kDa activated Cry4Ba toxin comprises three domains which are, from the N- to C-terminus, a bundle of $\alpha$-helices, a three-$\beta$-sheet domain, and a $\beta$-sandwich. To investigate the properties of the C-terminal domain III in isolation from the rest of the toxin, the cloned Cry4Ba-domain III was over-expressed as a 21-kDa soluble protein in Escherichia coli, which cross-reacted with anti-Cry4Ba domain III monoclonal antibody. A highly-purified domain III was obtained in a monomeric form by ion-exchange and size-exclusion FPLC. Circular dichroism spectroscopy indicated that the isolated domain III fragment distinctly exists as a $\beta$-sheet structure, corresponding to the domain III structure embodied in the Cry4Ba crystal structure. In vitro binding analysis via immuno-histochemical assay revealed that the Cry4Ba-domain III protein was able to bind to the apical microvilli of the susceptible Stegomyia aegypti larval midguts, albeit at lower-binding activity when compared with the full-length active toxin. These results demonstrate for the first time that the C-terminal domain III of the Cry4Ba mosquito-larvicidal protein, which can be isolated as a native folded monomer, conceivably participates in toxin-receptor recognition.

It has been reviewed whether it would be suitable that the application of the time-frequency signal analysis techniques to estimate the location of the impact source in plate structure. The STFT(Short Time Fourier Transform), WVD(Wigner-Ville distribution) and CWT(Continuous Wavelet Transform) methods are introduced and the advantages and disadvantages of those methods are described by using a simulated signal component. The essential of the above proposed techniques is to separate the traveling waves in both time and frequency domains using the dispersion characteristics of the structural waves. These time-frequency methods are expected to be more useful than the conventional time domain analyses fer the impact localization problem on a plate type structure. Also it has been concluded that the smoothed WVD can give more reliable means than the other methodologies for the location estimation in a noisy environment.

For the analysis of a vibrating two dimensional structure such as the simply supported rectangular plate, Spectral Finite Element Method (SFEM) has been studied. Under the condition that two parallel edges are simply supported at least and the other two edges can be arbitrary, Spectral Finite Element has been developed. Using this element SFEM is applied to the vibrating rectangular plate which all edges are simply supported, and obtain the frequency response function in frequency domain and the dynamic response in time domain. To evaluate these results normal mode method and finite element method (FEM) are also accomplished and compared. It is seen that SFEM is more powerful analysis tool than FEM in high frequency range.

The signal pattern recognition method by acoustic emission signal is applied to detect and classify the defects of a journal bearing in a power plant. AE signals of main defects such as overheating, wear and corrosion are obtained from a small scale model. To detect and classify the defects, AE signal pattern recognition program is developed. As the classification methods, the wavelet transformation analysis, the frequency domain analysis and time domain analysis are used. Among three analyses, the wavelet transformation analysis is most effective to detect and classify the defects of the journal bearing..

An efficient dynamic analysis method is developed f3r building structures subjected to ground home loadings. The soil medium is modeled using the finite elements and infinite elements. Then, the dynamic stiffness of the soil medium is calculated at the interfacial nodes between the soil and the building foundation. The equivalent subway loading at the interfacial nodes are obtained from the wave propagation analysis of the subway loading through the soil medium. The dynamic response of the building Is computed using the mode superposition method equipped with gauss-seidel iteration technique. The analysis is carried out by the frequency domain and the time domain methods.
This study presents states-of-the art overview of the system level electrostatic discharge (ESD) analysis and testing. After brief description of ESD compliance standards and ESD coupling mechanisms, the study provides an in-depth review and comparison of the various techniques for the system level ESD coupling analysis using time and frequency domain techniques, full wave electromagnetic modeling and hybrid modeling. The methods used for improving system level ESD testing using troubleshooting and determining the root causes of soft failures, the optimization of ESD testing and the countermeasures to mitigate ESD problems are also discussed.
