The purpose of this study is to find an optimized imaging technique and evaluate its usefulness by comparing and analyzing the difference in contrast enhancement of lower extremity artery according to the patient's heart rate during lower extremity Computed Tomography Angiography examination. From January 2022 to August 22nd, 139 outpatients who visited Ajou University Hospital and underwent lower extremity angio CT examination were targeted. According to the heart rate, the groups were divided into four groups: A(HR ≤65), B(65 < HR < 80), C(80≤ HR). In addition, among patients with a heart rate of 65 or less, the heart rate was considered, and the scan was divided into D, E, F group with a delay time. The time of arrival of contrast medium and the average value of contrast enhancement were compared and analyzed. As a result of quantitative evaluation, B and C groups with a heart rate of more than 65 times had better HU values in the popliteal artery than A group (HR ≤ 65), and D group showed better HU improvement effects compared to A group (p<0.001). The comparative analysis with other groups was insignificant. The difference in heart rate affected the angiographic intensity of the lower extremities artery. Therefore, it is effective to apply the appropriate test timing for each patient by using the heart rate during the lower extremity angio CT Scan.

In this work, we present the results of our empirical study on 802.11 wireless LAN network traffic. We collect the packet trace from existing campus wireless LAN infra-structure. We analyzed four different data sets: aggregate traffic, upstream traffic, downstream traffic, tcp only packet trace from aggregate traffic. We analyze the time series aspect of underlying traffic (byte count process and packet count process), marginal distribution of time series, and packet size distribution. We found that in all four data sets there exist long-range dependent property in byte count and packet count process. Inter-arrival distribution is well fitted with Pareto distribution. Upstream traffic, i.e. from the user to Internet, exhibits significant difference in its packet size distribution from the rests. Average packet size of upstream traffic is 151.7 byte while average packet size of the rest of the data sets are all greater than 260 bytes. Packets with full data payloads constitutes 3% and 10% in upstream traffic and the downstream traffic, respectively. Despite the significant difference in packet size distribution, all four data sets have similar Hurst values. The Hurst alone does not properly explain the stochastic characteristics of the underlying traffic. We model the underlying traffic using fractional-ARIMA (FARIMA) and fractional Gaussian Noise (FGN). While the fractional Gaussian Noise based method is computationally more efficient, FARIMA exhibits superior performance in accurately modeling the underlying traffic.
Opioids produce strong analgesic effect result with some side effects such as nausea, vomiting, urinary retention, somnolence, and respiratory depression. Nalbuphine, an agonist-antagonist has, at low doses, an analgesic potency comparable to morphine with little side effects. Analgesic effect after continuous infusion of fentanyl-ketorolac-droperidol, or $Nubain^{(R)}$-ketorolac-dropertiodl combination in Cesarean section patients were assessed by numerical rating scale (NRS) and Prince Hednry scale (PHS). The patients were divided into two groups. Each group consists of 30 patients. Group 1 received 20 ${\mu}g$ of fentanyl the end of surgery. And then continuously infused with additional 380${\mu}g$ of fentanyl plus 120 mg of ketorolac and 2.5 mg of droperidol. Group 2 initially received 2 mg of $Nubain^{(R)}$ at the end of surgery and the remaining dose of $Nubain^{(R)}$ 38 mg plus ketorolac 120 mg and droperidol 2.5 mg was continuously infused. With all patients, initial dose of drug was administered by bolus of i.v. injection and the remaining dose was administered via i.v. using a Baxter Two $Infusor^{(R)}$. Pain scores and side effects were recorded at the time of recovery room arrival, and at interval of 30 min, 1 hr, 6 hr, 14 hr, 24 hr, 48 hr after start of continuous infusion. No significant difference was found between the pain scores and side effects of both groups although pain control effect was excellent in both groups. We concluded that $Nubain^{(R)}$ could be an alternative to fentanyl for postoperative pain control.

This study analyzed local imbalances in the supply and demand of emergency medical services in Busan using the 119 emergency activity reports of the Busan Fire & Disaster Headquarters. The data for EMS activity reports in 2017 was converted into Jimgyegu units. The spatial distribution of the indicators representing the local imbalance of emergency demand and supply (number of reports, number of reports relative to the population, average coefficient of variation and outlier of on-site arrival time, and number of dispatches outside the jurisdiction) was analyzed using Hotspot analysis of GIS spatial statistics analysis. As a result of the analysis, the hot spot area and the cold spot area where both supply and demand of emergency services are concentrated were clearly distinguished. This means that the supply and demand of emergency services in Busan are locally unbalanced. In particular, there was a difference in the demand and supply of emergency services in the original downtown and its surrounding areas, and in the outskirts of Busan.

In this study, an implicit one-dimensional model, DWRM(Dynamic Wave Routing Model) was developed by using the four-point weighted difference method. By applying the developed model to the Keum River, the parameters were calibrated and the model applicability was tested through the comparison between observed and computed water levels. In addition, the effects of the construction of an estuary dam to the flood wave were estimated as a result of the model application. The results of the study can be summarized as follows; 1. The roughness coefficients were evaluated by comparison between observed and computed water level at Jindu, Gyuam and Ganggyeung station in 1985. The Root Mean Squares for water level differences between observed and computed values were 0.10, 0.11, 0. 29m and the differences of peak flood levels were 0.07, 0.02, 0. 07m at each station. Since the evaluated roughness coefficients were within the range of 0.029-0.041 showing the realistic value for the general condition of rivers, it can be concluded that the calibration has been completed. 2. By the application of model using the calibrated roughness coefficients, the R. M. S. for water level differences were 0.16, 0.24, 0. 24m and the differences of peak flood level were 0.17, 0.13,0.08 m at each station. The arrival time of peak flood at each station and the stage-discharge relationship at Gongju station agreed well with the observed values. Therefore, it was concluded that the model could be applied to the Keum River. 3. The model was applied under conditions before and after the construction of the estuary dam. The 50-year frequency flood which had 7, 800m$^3$/sec of peak flood was used as the upstream condition, and the spring tide and the neap tide were used as the downstream condition. As the results of the application, no change of the peak flood level was showed in the upper reaches of 19.2km upstream from the estuary dam. For areas near 9.6km upstream from the estuary dam, the change of the peak flood level under the condition before and after the construction was 0. 2m. However considering the assumptions for the boundary conditions of downstream, the change of peak flood level would be decreased.
In this paper, we used the sound of gunshots recorded by multiple microphones to increase the accuracy of the calculation of the distance between sniper and the microphone array. This method is crucial for achieving military objectives. Gunshots are comprised of the explosion of driving gas from the muzzle and the supersonic shock wave from the flying bullet. The original distance calculation method compares the time difference of arrival and angle of incidence to estimate the sniper's location. The disadvantage of this method is that when the angles of incidence coincide the margin of error increases, to solve this problem we suggest a new method using the characteristic changes of the shock wave with the increase of perpendicular distance between the microphone and the trajectory of the bullet. This theory is verified by experiments.
This paper has discussed several issues regarding the barriers and opportunities for technological catch-up by the late-comer countries and firms. As one of the barriers to technological catch-up, the paper emphasizes the uncertainty involved with the third stage of learning how to design. The barriers arise because as the forerunner firms refuse to sell or give license to successful catching-up firms who thus have to design the product by themselves. The paper discusses how to overcome this barrier. It also notes that if the crisis of design technology is a push factor for leapfrogging, arrival of new techno-economic paradigm can serve as a pull factor for leapfrogging, serving as a winder of opportunity. The, it emphasized the two risks with leapfrogging, namely the risk of choosing right technology or standards and the risk of creating initial markets, and how to overcome these risks. It discusses how to overcome these risks in leapfrogging, and differentiates diverse forms of knowledge accesses. Then, the paper takes up the issue of whether there can be a single common or several models for catch-up. A common element of catching-up is to enter new markets segments quickly, to manufacture with high levels of engineering excellence, and to be first-to-market by means of the best integrative designs. This observation is supported by the fact that Korea and Taiwan has achieved higher levels of technological capabilities in such sectors as featured by short cycle time of technology. The possibility of two alternative models for catch-up is also discussed in terms of the key difference between Korean and Taiwan, especially in the position toward the source of foreign knowledge and the paths taken toward the final goal of OBM. Taiwan followed the sequential steps of OEM, ODM and OBN, in collaboration or integration with the MNCs. Korean chaebols jumped from OEM directly to OBM even without consolidating design technology.

This paper proposes method that uses Time-Difference-of-Arrival(TDOA) of Forward Pilot signals from base stations(BS) arriving at a mobile station(MS) as a position location method of CDMA MS. MS searcher does acquisition of BS Pilot signals and measurement of TDOAs. In order to do it, its processing gain is very important. Proportional relationship of the gain to the signal coherent integration interval is theoretically derived and analyzed and field test is performed to show acquisition of weak Pilot signals and stable measurements of TDOA values by increasing the gain. Also, signal strength decrease exponentially by the distance it travels. Therefore, improvement of the searcher gain makes possible to acquire Pilot signals at a location far away from BS. Variation of possible position estimation area relative to the signal strength within a cell is simulated with computer. Neglecting shadow effect it indicated necessity of detecting signals below -35dB in order to cover over 90% of cell area. Thus, efforts to maximize searcher coherent integration interval in order to acquire weak Pilot signals are required for expansion of position estimation area and measurement of stable TDOA values.

To find a location, GPS has been wildly used. But, it is hard to use in indoor because of very weak signal level. To meet indoor requirements, there have been many studies applying wireless communication networks such as WLAN, UWB and ZigBee. Among these, ZigBee is widely adopted in many WSN applications because it has an advantage of low-power and low-cost. In ZigBee, the RSSI is used as range measurement for ad-hoc network. The RSSI are converted to ranges using the signal attenuation model and these ranges become inputs of positioning methods. The obtained position with RSSI has large error because of its poor accuracy. To overcome this problem, ultrasonic sensors are added in many researches. By measuring the arrival time difference of ZigBee and ultrasound as a range measurement, the precise position can be found. However, there are still many problems: scheduling of beacons to transmit signals in a correct order, addition and synchronization of beacons and low-rate positioning rate. At this paper, an efficient method to solve these problems is proposed. In the proposed method, a node transmits ZigBee and ultrasound signal simultaneously. And beacons find the range with the received signals and send it back to a node with ZigBee. The position is computed in a node with the received ranges. In addition, a new positioning algorithm to solve the risk of the divergence in the linearization method and the singularity problem in the Savarese method is presented. Both static and dynamic experimental results show 0.02m RMS errors with high output rate.

An economic ship routing means to sail a ship with a goal of minimizing the fuel consumption by utilizing weather forecast information, and many such systems have been recently developed. Most of them assume that sailing is carried out with a constraint like a fixed output of engine-power or a fixed sailing speed. However, if the output of engine-power is controlled, it is possible to reduce the fuel consumption by sailing a ship under a relatively good weather condition. In this paper, we propose a novel economic ship routing system which can search optimal outputs of the engine-power for each part of a path by employing an evolutionary strategy. In addition, we develope an $A^*$ algorithm to find the shortest path and a method to enhance the degree of curve representation. These make the proposed system applicable to an arbitrary pair of departure and destination points. We compared our proposed system with another existing system not controlling output of the engine-power over 36 scenarios in total, and observed that the former reduced the estimated fuel consumption than the latter by 1.3% on average and the maximum 5.6% with little difference of estimated time of arrival.
