This paper presents the reliability models for redundant systems composed of repairable components whose failure time and repair time distributions are phase-type. It is shown that the distribution of time to system failure is also phase-type. The dependency between components are considered and integrated into the model by the used of the rate adjustment factor. The phase-type representation is constructed for the system through algebraic operations on the parameters of components\` failure time and repair time distributions and the corresponding rate adjustment factors. Types of system structures considered are parallel, k-out-of-N system with load sharing scheme and standby system with operation priority.
Purpose: This study was to identify the anticipatory postural adjustment (APA) mechanism which is represented by the onset time of trunk muscles and the displacement of the center of pressure (COP) according to the different base of support (BOS) during upper extremity movement. Methods: Thirty healthy subjects (14 males, 16 females) participated in this study. The movement was performed for 10 trials during each of various BOS (shoulder - width double leg stance, narrow base double leg stance, tandem stance, non-dominant single leg stance) at the 1.2 Hz frequency. Electromyography was used to measure muscle onset time and biorescue was used to measure characteristics of the displacement of COP. Surface bipolar electrodes were applied over the right deltoid anterior, right latissimus dorsi, both rectus abdominis, both internal oblique and both erector spinae. The data were analyzed by repeated one-way ANOVA and Duncan's post hoc test. Results: The study has revealed following. There were significant differences with muscle onset time in each BOS (p<0.01). There were significant differences in characteristics of the COP in each BOS (p<0.01). Conclusion: The study found that the more narrowed the basis requires the more rapid anticipatory postural control in contralateral postural muscle when the upper extremity movement is performed.
By means of flexible forming processes in sheet metal manufacturing it is possible to produce parts of complex geometry within short manufacturing time. These procedures are suitable especially for prototyping or adjustment of deformation. Here formative procedures like laser forming are increasingly important, because they make the large-scale-like production of the prototypes with the required materials possible. High accuracy and reproducibility of the products is the precondition of the production. Due to the lack of a forming tool, complex geometries can hardly be manufactured within tolerances. To overcome this problem an automatic closed loop control system for the adjustment of deformations has been developed. An important element of the closed loop control system is the definition of a suitable irradiation strategy for laser forming. For the determination of the irradiation strategy a lot of influences must be taken into consideration from the field of material, geometry and laser. In this paper the improved closed loop control system and the development of an irradiation strategy for 4 mm deep buckles in an ALMgSi1 sheet will be represented. This system can be used e.g. in the automated adjustment of hail damage in car bodies or deformation by heat treatment.
Purpose : This study examined the relationship between sexual changes and adjustment and identified the factors which affect adjustment after a hysterectomy. Method : The subjects were 89 women under 50 years of age registered at gynecology departments of general hospitals in Seoul. Result : $60.7\%$ of the women restarted coitus during six weeks to three months post operation. They felt a decrease in vaginal secretions$(68\%)$, and abdominal and pelvic pain$(59.8\%)$, but2/3 of them didn't change the frequency of coitus and level of orgasm. With respect to the adaptability of the sexual life, there was a significant difference in the time to restart coitus, coitus, lack of vaginal secretions, abdominal and pelvic pain, change of frequency of coitus, experience of orgasm, importance of sex and avoidance of coitus, according to job, income, and health condition. Conclusion : It is appropriate to restart coitus six weeks to three months after surgery and preliminary information should be given to patients after surgery as abdominal and pelvic pain could be relieved after twelve months. Also, sexual adjustment can be improved if they can recognize the changes after surgery from sexual life before surgery.

This paper describes and automatic mirror adjustment system that rotates a pair of side mirrors and the room mirror of a car to the optimal position for a driver by using the locating of the driver\`s pupils. A stereo vision system measures 3D coordinates of a pair pupils by analyzing the input images of stereo B/W CCD cameras mounted on the instrument panel. this system determines the position angle of each mir-ror on the basis of information about the location of the pupils and rotates each mirror to the appropriate po-sition by mirror actuators. The vision system can detect the driver\`s pupils regardless of whether it is day-time or nighttime by virtue of an infrared light source. information about the pair of nostrils in used to im- prove the correctness of pupil detection. This system can adjust side mirrors and the room mirror automati- cally and rapidly by a simple interface regardless of driver replacement of driver\`s posture. Experiment has shown this to be a new mirror adjustment system that can make up for the weak points of previous mirror adjustment systems.
This study investigated the purpose of internet usage among high-school seniors and how their psychological, behavioral, and interpersonal adjustment levels were affected by the amount of lime spent on the internet. The subjects were 572 high-school seniors who participated in the first panel of Korean Education Empolyment Panel (KEEP). The participants were divided into 2 groups: low use group using the internet for less than 30 minutes a day and high un group using the internet for more than 3 hours a day. The adjustment levels of these two groups were compared. The findings were as follows. First, the high use group used the internet to enjoy games, whereas the low use group used the internet to seek schoolwork-related information. Second, the high use group had more negative self-concepts and experienced more stress regarding economic hardship than the low use group. Finally, the high use group watched T.V. longer, studied less, and had more experiences of deviant behaviors, such as bullying, smoking, drinking, and sexual relations.
Korean Highway Capacity Manual applies 7 adjustment factors to estimate saturation flows at signalized intersections. Among the adjustment factors, the right-turn adjustment factor uses equation hard to understand and requires complicated computing process comparing other adjustment factors. Thus. this study was conducted in order to suggest a new technique of estimating the right-turn adjustment factor which is easy to understand and simple to computer by having reasonable degree of accuracy. In this study the right-turn saturation flow ratios which are important in estimating the factor are suggested and the equation to estimate the volume of right-turn on red signal(RTOR) is developed based on observed data. The right-turn saturation flow rates can be estimated according to turning radius and number of lanes of crossing road dividing right-turn lanes into canalized and uncanalized lanes. The RTOR volume is estimated using the proportion of the time during which RTOR is possible to the whole time of red signal according to the through traffic volume per lane of the approach at signalized intersections. The technique of estimating the right-turn adjustment factor suggested in this study, which follows the HCM2000 of U.S. in principal, first judges the right-turn lane to be used exclusively for right-turn or not by employing the RTOR factor and the judging equation developed in this study. Next, if the right-turn lane is not exclusive right-turn lane, the shared right-turn lane is classified into single lane approach or multi lane approach. Thus, a total of three methods of estimating the right-turn adjustment factor to the three cases are suggested in this study.

The construction of a facility is an act whereby infrastructure such as roads and railways and other facilities such as housing and office spaces are constructed, and due to the characteristics of the relevant industry where such construction is carried out in a custom order method, it requires a long period of time mostly. While the construction is carried out over a long period of time, fluctuations in the price of raw materials required for the construction occur. Therefore, the cost of the construction also fluctuates inevitably. The fluctuation of the construction cost meshes closely with the profit of a constructor and the efficiency of government spending. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain the construction cost at a reasonable level by adjusting the construction cost rationally in order to secure the required construction quality and spend the budget efficiently. The buffer system for solving such problem is the contract amount adjustment system by fluctuations in prices (Escalation/De-Escalation). In this study, the method combining the escalation method based on the item adjustment method was suggested for an efficient contract amount adjustment method. In addition, it is proposed that there be an investigation and codification of matters not applied to government acts and regulations on contracts related to the adjustment of fluctuations in prices legally.
This study is planned to provide the basic idea to seek for the appropriate Time Management Strategies and to investigate the Time Management Strategies and household work time of wives. For these research tasks, the data are collected through the questionnaire rand 479 respondents were housewives in seoul. Their data are analyzed using Frequency, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Analysis, Simple Regression Analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis. The Major findings of this study were as follows ; 1) There are significant differences in the time management strategies according to housewife's age, education level, and employment status, children's number, the type of housing, the type family, income and sex role attitude. 2) There are significant differences in the household work time according to housewife's age, education level, employment status, family size, children's number, type of housing, income, sex role attitude and time pressure perceptibility. 3) The Household work time is found to be negatively correlated to the Time Management Stategies except the adjustment of leisure and sleep time. 4) The Household work time is significantly related to housewife's employment status and the adjustment of leisure and sleep time.

Real-time application programs have constraints which need to be met between media-data. These constraints represents the delay time ad quality of service between media-data to be presented. In order to efficiently describe the delay time and quality of service, a new synchronization mechanism is needed. Proposed paper is a dynamic synchronization that minimized the effects of adaptive transmission delay time. That is, the method meets the requirements of synchronization between media-dat by handling dynamically the adaptive waiting time resulted from variations of delay time. In addition, the mechanism has interval adjustment using maximum delay jitter time. This paper decreases the data loss resulted from variation of delay time and from loss time of media-data by means of applying delay jitter in order to deal with synchronization interval adjustment. Plus, the mechanism adaptively manages the waiting time of smoothing buffer, which leads to minimize the gap from the variation of delay time. The proposed paper is suitable to the system which requires the guarantee of high quality of service and mechanism improves quality of services such as decrease of loss rate, increase of playout rate.
