This paper is a part of "The Study of the Traditionla Korean Ethnic Farmhousing in Yanbian, China" The purpose of this study is to investigate the facilities and equipments of the traditional farmhouse in the villages of Lungching China. The data is collected from 124 households in the villages based on the survey conducted using questionnaire and photograph. The major findings are: 1) The people in farmhouse use wood as a fuel for cooking and the method of cooking is traditional style using their iron pots. 2) Heating system of the house is ondol type of heating using. wood which is also traditional type. This means that the floor heating of the house and cooking food can be carried out simultaneously. 3) Even though pump system and running water system are the two kinds of water supply that are available in the villages, majority of people use pump system. Many houses have no drainage facilities but few houses have got bad drainage system. 4) From the planning stage of the farm house facilities and equipments for ventilation is not considered and hence it is not provided in most of the houses. 5) Farmhouses are oriented to the south and the windows and the doors are covered either with viny1 or cloth during winter time effecting the lighting system of the house. 6)Many of the houses use incandescent lights. But the switchs and the electric Outlets are short in number. 7) Sanitation facilities are worst equipped compared to other facilities present in Lungching villages of China. of China.

It is known that natural awakening of us in the morning is due to stimulation of the reticular activation system through biological clock in the suprachiasmatic nucleus of hypothalamus by the morning sunlight. If we sleep at dark rooms without windows and so without morning sunlight, thus, it is not easy fur us to get up refreshingly in the morning. In this paper, we propose an automatic sunrise household lighting system that helps us fer getting up cheerfully in the morning even if we sleep in dark rooms without morning sunlight. The proposed lighting system is an embedded system that turns automatically on the electric lamp and makes it brighter and brighter coincidently with the actual sunrise. The proposed system is composed of a PIC microcontroller with flash memory, a real-time clock IC, a D/A converter, an amplifier, a dimmer unit, a light bulb, a display panel and a keyboard. The validity of the proposed intelligent lighting system is demonstrated via a prototype production and experimentation.

In this study e-map component was designed and developed to possibly overlay with all kinds of thematic maps in various scales and provide the all detailed information by using high-resolution satellite image and GIS. Also, this system has powerful map composition tool to display map such as legend, scale bar, index map and so on. For this, this e-map component was designed by using UML and developed based on Windows 2000 and implemented by using Visual Basic 6.0 as development programming language, Map Objects 2.1 of ESRI as GIS component. Through this system, the forest officials could generate more detailed topography and desired thematic map. In addition, the data consistency in DBMS could be maintained by using SDE (Spatial Database Engine) for their job and share the standard forest database with others in real time.

A tape feeder of a SMD(Surface Mount Device) mounter is a device that sequentially feeds electronic components on a tape reel to the pick-up system of the mounter. As components are getting much smaller, feeding accuracy of a feeder becomes one of the most important factors for successful component pick-up. Therefore, it is critical to keep the feeding accuracy to a specified level in the assembly and production of tape feeders. This paper describes a tape feeder inspection system that was developed to automatically measure and inspect feeding accuracy using machine vision. It consists of a feeder base, an image acquisition system, and a personal computer. The image acquisition system is composed of CCD cameras with lens, LED illumination systems, and a frame grabber inside the PC. This system loads up to six feeders at a time and inspects them automatically and sequentially. The inspection software was implemented using Visual C++on Windows NT with easily usable GUI. Using this system, we can automatically measure and inspect the quality of all feeders in production process by analyzing the measurement results statistically.

Purpose: The objectives of this study were to define basic data for developing silver services related to goods, medical care, finance, leisure and residence. Method: In this cross-sectional study, the subjects were 792 pre-elderly and 382 elderly. The data were collected 2005 by using a structured questionnaire from Aug. 19 to Sep. 5. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics on the SPSS version 12.0 for windows. Result: The pre-elderly had the intention to use massage chair(36.6%), homecare service(29.8%), national pension(35.9%), sports(48.5%) and personal house(59.5%) in the ares of silver goods, medical care, finance, leisure and residence, respectively. The elderly wanted sphygmomanometer(38.7%), homecare service(27.7%), pocket money from their offspring (40.5%), sports(33.5%), and personal house(74.8%). They wanted manpower in the area of reforming of living place, leisure time and education, counseling of silver goods, and management of finance. Conclusion: Based on this study findings, the pre-elderly are thoroughly established for their future than the elderly. It is important to upgrade the silver services and to prepare the manpower for the pre-elderly and the elderly in the future of the aging society.

The exist email program between Ship and Land has developed to reduce communication fee because of high satellite communication cost and low speed. Owing to this proper, the exist program has less flexibility and high speed. but to add or change functions is not easy. and it also have many difficulties for programmer to develop marine application because of delicate Satellite Radio communication. In this paper we design new protocol which consist of packet to give flexiblity and implement windows service program for programer to make marine applications easily like monitoring data, DB for Ship Management System, Planned Maintenance System.

In this paper, we designed and implemented a personal VOD server using multi-thread for the real-time services of video data to the users. The system consists of service manager, disk manager, and network manager. The service manager controls the user admission to the system using the VBR(Variable Bit Rate) characteristics of MPEG (Moving Picture Experts Group) video data. The disk manager provides the functions for VCR-like operations. The disk manager reads blocks from the disk by the size of GOP(Group of Pictures) and buffers the data to the user's thread. The network manager uses TCP/IP for the communication between the server and the client. The communication starts from the client and the VOD server must respond to this request. The implemented personal VOD system shows an acceptable performance.

The concept of dental clinic have been changed along the advanced dental science to meet the need of setting up high-technology-digital appliances. As the general idea about the dental clinic has been changed from systematic connection, the expansion of zoning needs to become more accurate and mote detailed. In the spacious waiting room. the interment cafe has been established to supply the information services, and the various multi-imaged channels, which were built in, will relieve the boredom of the waiting time. The formation of water space leads to the effect of humidification and makes parents share visual and auditory sympathy All of the unit-chairs attached cameras in the consultation room enables people to diagnose more quickly and precisely through the computerized system. Partitions have been set of to put it in and to help diagnosis process to be done smoothly in the formational space. The whole atmosphere is intended to be harmony with the natural surroundings in Je-Ju. It will inspire people visiting this clinic to image the deep blue sea in Je-Ju. By using projective non-material a lot, especially material wooden windows and doors, it is believed to create the bright and stable atmosphere. It will lead patients feel comfortable.

Recently, electrochromic devices (ECDs) have gathered increasing attention owing to their high color contrast and memory effect, which make them highly applicable to smart windows, auto-dimming mirrors, sensors, etc. Traditional ECDs have a sandwich structure that contains an electrochromic layer between two ITO substrates. These sandwich-type devices are usually fabricated through the lamination of two electrodes and followed by the injection of a liquid electrolyte in the inner space. However, this process is sometimes complex and time consuming. In this study, we fabricated ECDs with a lateral electrode structure that uses only an ITO substrate and an all-in-one electrochromic gel, which is a mixture of electrolyte and electrochromic material. Furthermore, we investigated the EC properties of the lateral-type device by comparing it with a sandwich-type device. The lateral-type ECD shows strong blue absorption as the applied voltage increases and has a competitive coloration efficiency compared to the sandwich-type device.

This paper presents methods to design an integrated system for supporting both multimedia contents creations and its presentation in a windows system. Especially, it describes methods for designing an integrated editor that can be used to crate and edit various media data including continuous media such as audio and video. And it also proposes a system model for systematically integrating multimedia creating tool with multimedia presentation system where the heeling and scenario-based presentation methods are included in the propose system for supporting effective multimedia presentation through a network Finally, we describe a threads processing technique based on event monitoring to satisfy effectively needs for presentation control, synchronization control, and user's input control during a multimedia presentation.
