Characterization of the Dependence of Interconnect Line-Induced Delay Time on Gate Width in ${\mu}m$ CMOS Technology ($0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS Technology에 인터커넥트 라인에 의한 지연시간의 게이트 폭에 대한 의존성 분석)

  • In this paper, the dependence of interconnect line-induced delay time on the size of CMOSFET gate width is characterized. In case of capacitance dominant interconnect line, the total delay time decreases as transistor size increases. However, there exists a transistor size for minimum total delay time when both of resistance and capacitance of interconnect line become larger than those of transistor. The optimum transistor size for minimum total delay time is obtained using an analytic equation and the experimental results showed good agreement with the calculation.

Using Modeling to Predict Alaska Pollack Quality during Storage (명태의 보관시간에 따른 품질 예측 모델링)

  • Several quality parameters affecting Alaska pollack, Theragra chalcogramma, were measured and modeled kinetically under storage at different temperatures: the K-value, trimethylamine (TMA), volatile basic nitrogen (VBN), Torry meter, pH, acid value (AV), total viable cell count (TVC), and colony forming units (CFU) of Pseudomonas spp. The off-flavor development time (ODT) was also measured using the R-index sensory test and modeled kinetically. Among the quality parameters, the CFU of Pseudomonas spp. was an indicator of the ODT according to a similarity in the Arrhenius temperature dependence, which was derived as a criterion mathematically. The temperature dependence was represented by the Arrhenius's activation energy ($E_a$). On comparing the $E_a$ of the quality factors and the ODT, the similarity in the temperature dependence was found to be high in the order Pseudomonas spp., pH, VBN, TVC, K-value, TMA, AV, and Torry meter. Therefore, Pseudomonas spp. was identified as the primary indicator of ODT.

  • A procedure for the test of independence of the observations and the null distribution are studied for a waiting-time distribution of the number of Bernoulli trials required to obtain a preassigned number of successes under Markov dependence. Selected critical values for the test statistic are tabulated.

  • The optically-gated p-i-n diode switches have been fabricated with gold-compensated silicon. The turn-on and turn-off delay times and the rise and fall times were measured as a function of optical power level, bias, and pulse width. The turn-on characteristics shows a strong dependence an optical pulse power and a delay time(${\delta}{\iota}$) between two pulses, but a weak dependence on the width of optical pulse. Actually there is no turn-off delay in gold-doped p-i-n switches and the fall time is negligible.

  • Most of the research on discrimination and classification analysis has been directed to the situation where the data consist of independent observations. However, it is often the case in practice that a dependence structure between objects does exist, in particular, for the time series data. This article is handling such a case and is concerned with the problem of classifying new object when the dependence can be modelled by a discrete time series via conditional autologistic transition probability.

Time-Varying Comovement of KOSPI 200 Sector Indices Returns

  • This paper employs dynamic conditional correlation (DCC) model to examine time-varying comovement in the Korean stock market with a focus on the financial industry. Analyzing the daily returns of KOSPI 200 eight sector indices from January 2008 to December 2013, we find that stock market correlations significantly increased during the GFC period. The Financial Sector had the highest correlation between the Constructions-Machinery Sector; however, the Consumer Discretionary and Consumer Staples sectors indicated a relatively lower correlation between the Financial Sector. In terms of model fitting, the DCC with t distribution model concludes as the best among the four alternatives based on BIC, and the estimated shape parameter of t distribution is less than 10, implicating a strong tail dependence between the sectors. We report little asymmetric effect in correlation dynamics between sectors; however, we find strong asymmetric effect in volatility dynamics for each sector return.

  • Dose response and time dependence of DNA repair synthesis were investigated to determine the possible relationship between DNA repair synthesis and chromosome exchanges in $\\gamma$-ray irradiated BHK-21 and KB cell lines. DNA repair synthesis induced by $\\gamma$-ray was dose dependent up to 5kR, then leveling off occurred until 50 kR was reached. Time dependence of DNA repair synthesis was continued for up to 1$\\sim$2 hours after irradiation although the initial dose responses were cell line specific. Chromosome exchanges induced by $\\gamma$-ray showed different radiosensitivities in these cell lines and did not show a correlation with the DNA repair synthesis.

  • The effects of anisotropic mechanical stress applied normal to the surface of p-n junctions have been investigated. As the stress increased, the breakdown voltage was decreased and the breakdown mode became softer. Within a certain limitation in the applied stress, the above phenomena werw reversibbe, though relaxation and hysteresis phenomena were observed. The time constant of relaxation depended upon the shape of the stressing tip, but for the given tip and device a unique time constant was obtained. The stress.dependence of breakdown voltage showed a good linearity up to about 3.0${\times}10^4$ kgw/$\textrm{cm}^2$, when the flat tip of radius 15$\mu$ was used, and the temperatere-dependence of breakdown voltage under the stress also showed a good linearity in the temperature range of 100 to $300^{\circ}K$.

  • 검화도와 분자량이 상이한 폴리비닐 알코올을 디멜틸 설폭사이드에 녹여 폴리비닐 알코올/디멜틸 설폭사이드 용액을 준비하고 동적 유변학적 특성에 대한 시간과 온도 의존성 을 고찰하였다. 고농도 폴리비닐 알코올 용액의 유변학적 특성은 시간 의존성을 보여주었다. 복합점도와 저장탄성률은 시간에 따라 증가하였다. 또한 저장 탄성률과 손실탄성률의 그래 프에서 저장탄성률은 신간에 따라 증가하였으나 기울기는 시간에 따라 증가하였다. 또한 저 장탄성률과 손실탄성률의 그래프에서 저장탄성률은 시간에따라 증가하였으나 기울기는 시간 에 따라 감소하였다. 유변학적 특성의 시간 의존성은 분자량이 높을수록, 측정온도가 높을수 록 더 두드러지게 나타났다.
