Design and implementation of real-time TCP (실시간 전송기능을 지원하는 TCP의 설계 및 구현)

  • TCP and UDP is a transport layer protocol of Internet. TCP is a connection oriented protocol which supports a reliable data transfer by offering error and flow control, but it bring a transmission delay. On the other hand, the UDP is a connectionless protocol which does not carry out error and flow control, but it guarantees a realtime transmission. There are hardly any protocols which supports not only realtime functions but also data reliability. In this paper, we have designed and implemented a new TCP mode option which supports reliable realtime transmission. Our designed TCP performs an error recovery process during a fixed amount of time. This time is negotiated during the connection establishment phase. Our designed TCP is tested in real environments, and we find that it is relatively faster than the standard TCP and more reliable than the UDP. It can be used for the reliable transfer of realtime multimedia data.

  • Recently gantry-type robot with 3 axes rectangular coordinates have been studied in the many industrial production equipment and machinery fields. To acquire a good handling and motion performance of this robot, reducing the settling-time and securing the accurate-transfer positioning under high-speed conditions should be required. However when robot is moved in high-speed, the large inertia of robot can lead to serious vibration of robot's head. The time-delayed control characteristics of this robot can also lead to tracking error. In this research, the analysis of the effects of higher order positional-profile is carried out to assure high-speed performance and stiffness specifications. To remove the residual vibration caused by kinematic coupling effect of dual-servo gantry, we develop a dual-servo gantry of rotary type that moving frame of x-axis rotates about z-axis. In order to decrease the tracking error, the 3 type lead-filter through system identification was applied respectively. From the experimental results, it was shown that zero-order series leader-filter has the best performance about tracking error and settling time.

  • Satellite-based argumentation systems (SBAS) is a system that enhances the accuracy, integrity, availability and continuity of GNSS navigation users by using geostationary orbit (GEO) satellites to send correction information and the failures of global navigation satellite system (GNSS) satellites in the form of messages. The correction information provided by SBAS is pseudorange error, satellite orbit error, clock error, and ionospheric delay error at 250 bps. Therefore, A lot of message processing are required for the SBAS navigation. There is a need to reduce SBAS time to first fix (TTFF) for using SBAS navigation in systems with short operating time. In this paper, A-SGNSS operation method was proposed for reducing SBAS TTFF. Also, A-SGNSS TTFF and availability were analyzed.

A Study on the Performance of Thermal Mass Flowmeter (열량형 질량 유량계의 성능 평가)

  • Thermal mass flow meter(TMF) and thermal mass flow controller(MFC) were used to measure and to control the mass flow rate of gases. TMF and MFC were designed for specified working pressure and gas. For the case of different working pressure and gases, the flow rate measurement accuracy decreased dramatically. In this study, a TMF and MFC was tested with three different gases and pressure range from 0.2 MPa up to 1.0 MPa. Effect of specific heat causes to increase flow measurement error as much as ratio of specific heat compared with reference gas. Changing of pressure causes to increase flow rate measurement error about -0.2% as the working pressure decreased 0.1 MPa. Response time of MFC was below 3.12 s for the case of increasing of flow rate. But the response time was increased up to 6.92 s for the case of decreasing of flow rate. When the solenoid valve was fully closed, a initial delay time of output of MFC was increased up to 1.36 s.

  • This paper introduces various linear block error correction code and compares performances of the correction circuits. As the risk of errors due to power noise has increased, ECC(: Error Correction Code) has been introduced to prevent the bit error. There are two representatives of ECC structures which are SEC-DED(: Single Error Correction Double Error Detection) and SEC-DED-DAEC(: Double Adjacent Error Correction). According to simulation results, the SEC-DED circuit has advantages of small area and short delay time compared to SEC-DED-DAEC circuits. In case of SED-DED-DAEC, there is no big difference between Dutta's and Pedro's from performance point of view. Therefore, Pedro's code is more efficient than Dutta' code since the correction rate of Pedro's code is higher than that of Dutta's code.

  • In this paper, a control system using robust H.inf. controller based on convex parametrization is presented for nonlinear system with uncertainty. accounting for the time delay, noise and linearization error by frequency analysis, the suboptmal controller is designed to meet robust stability and performance for uncertainty. The desinged control system is applied to a nonlimear boiler moderl to test its performances.

  • 본 논문에서는 multipath 환경에서 효과적으로 시지연을 추정하기 위한 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 전처리 과정으로 웨이블릿 변환을 적용하였으며, 적응 알고리즘으로는 RLS를 계층적인 구조로 나타낸 HRLS(Hierarchical RLS)를 사용하였다. 시지연은 신호 분해과정 이후 각각의 부밴드에서 primary 신호와 reference 신호 사이의 MSE(Mean of Squared Error)를 최소화 시키는 적응 메카니즘을 사용하여 추정하였다. 아울러 모의실험을 통하여 제안된 알고리즘의 성능을 검증하였다.

  • In this paper we suggest the adaptive QoS-based VOD system design, which can diagnose and reflect the variable network situation. This system is based on the changeable Forward Error Correction(FEC) coding and re-transmission to enhance system quality by using the measured real-time network value such as loss, delay and jitter.

  • In this paper, Neural-Network Identifier that has time-delay element, error limit and small weighting factor is proposed. A proposed identifier has good performance to identify non-linear system with noise. To test the effectiveness of the algorithm presented above, the simulation for output tracking of non-linear system is implemented.

  • In this paper, a new programmable DLL (delay locked loop) based clock synthesizer is proposed. DLL has several inherent advantages, such as no phase accumulation error, fast locking and easy integration of the loop filter. This paper proposes a new programmable DLL that includes a PFD(phase frequency detector), a LSI(lock status indicator), and a VCDL(voltage controlled delay line) to generate multiple clocks. It can generate clocks from 3 to 9 times of input clock with $2{\mu}s$ locking time. The proposed DLL operating in the frequency range of 300MHZ-900MHz is verified by the HSPICE simulation with a $0.35{\mu}m$ CMOS process.
